View Full Version : I'm on the "No Gall Bladder Diet"! (Comments welcome)

Alright, here's the facts.
In my bare feet on a good day, I stand about 5 ft 5 inches.
I am of medium build.
Currently, I weigh 175 lbs.
I don't like working out and I HATE jogging. Joggers always look like somebody is prodding them in the rear with a fireplace poker.

However, I do realize that I need to lose 30-40 lbs. I was able to lose 30 lbs last year through reducing my caloric intake and exercise. Most mornings I would walk for 45 min-1 hr. If it was too cold/wet I would pop in my old Richard Simmons' "Sweatin To The Oldies" and a yoga tape.

Over the summer, with DS being home, I didn't have as much time to walk and/or work out as I had during the school year. Instead, we would spend 2-3 hrs at the local pool every day and I would do my best to keep moving, even if it was just treading water. That helped me maintain my weightloss over the summer, thankfully.

Now that school has started again, I'm walking again and our local library has recently acquired a Wii, which I tried out for the first time yesterday. I spent an hour an half or so playing Wii Tennis and I didn't just sit there. I was jumping around the room like a toddler on crack.:rotfl2: I really worked up a sweat and I felt terriffic after it was all over. The librarian told me they also have Mario and Sonic Olympics and plan on adding WiiFit also, as soon as the head librarian tests it out at her house to make sure it works.:rotfl:

My goal is to be at least 30 lbs lighter by the end of the school year in June. I don't think that's terribly unreasonable, do you?

Cute.
It's going to be hard for me to go walk today. I didn't sleep well last night and I feel like I've been beaten with sticks. My nose is all stopped up, I feel like I have a block of Playdoh wedged between my eyebrows and my eyes feel like round razorblades. I may or may not be running a fever...I can't tell. :( I just want to curl up on the couch and watch Elizabeth: The Golden Age.:happytv: I cannot be sick..can't be. :( My parents are supposed to come over tomorrow to celebrate my birthday and they're bring the demon..er..I mean..my two nieces with them. I need to vaccum, sweep and mop the kitchen and clean DS's bathroom besides. I don't have time to be sick.:sick:

3 tacos made with about 2 oz of shredded beef, 1 tsp sour cream, 2 tbsp picante sauce and 1/2 oz shredded cheese, plus 3 plain taco shells and about 24 oz Dr. Pepper

Exercise
Roughly 90 min walking

I'm going to try this food journaling thing, since it seems so popular. See if it teaches me anything about my eating habits.

So Tuesday, DH had come home with a Wii. On Friday, he comes home with a Wii Fit and I decided to give it a shot. After all, what can it hurt right?:confused3

I weigh about 10 lbs more than I thought I did. :scared1: :( And because of this and my height, my BMI catagorizes me as 'mildly obese'. :(:scared:

So yesterday, I decided to give it a chance and did a full workout. Boy did it ever kick my butt. I went on the short run and by the time it was over with (about 5 min) I was gasping for breath. When I woke up this morning, my legs were very sore from the yoga/strength exercises but I'm determined to perservere. In the long run it's cheaper than a gym (I think) and I don't have to worry about anybody staring at me (except maybe the cat, who is probably laughing at me anyway:lmao:).

I am so proud of myself..I managed to complete both the Island Lap and a 10 min Free Run without really stopping. Well..alright. I stopped once in the middle of the Island Lap for about a minute or so and again during the Free Run for a few seconds to get a drink of water. But I still completed them..didn't quit.

Am I the only person who doesn't like the Jackknives? :confused: Because I did one set of 10 reps and was thinking, "Yeah I'm not doing THAT again.".

I realized I skipped posting on Weds and Thurs last week. Fri and Sat TOTALLY do not count because we were travelling. Went to a wedding on Fri night out near Hippie Hollow (nudist beach) in Austin which was just about the most amazing thing I've ever seen. I didn't exercise at all on Fri or Sat, unless you count me boogying my butt off at the reception.:banana: :lmao:

I woke up this morning with a sore back..so sore I could barely get out of bed. :( I took some advil, got DS off to school and came home feeling like crud. So I made myself a bacon sandwich and grabbed some chips and a Dr. Pepper to make myself feel better. Feeling guilty afterwards, I kicked out 20 min of rhythym boxing and 30 min of free step. I know tonight I'm gonna have a crap dinner too. It's kind of chilly out so I'm planning on making my fast-n-dirty from scratch chicken pot pie and maybe some homemade cheese straws.

Ugh.

I did lose almost a pound between yesterday and today though. :) Only 7 more lbs to go before I hit my goal of losing 10 lbs for DH's birthday in Nov.

Today is the second day of my Slimfast diet. I am down about 1.8 lbs from yesterday. I started off three weeks ago really good with my Wii Fit program and I lost about 5 lbs over the course of ten-twelve days. HOWEVER..I went out of town to a wedding over a weekend and gained it all back. :( So now I'm fighting to get it off. My goal right now is to lose 10 lbs by Thanksgivng and I know if I keep up with the Slimfast I can do it. :woohoo:

Had to comment. What a great idea to us eyour Wii to excersize. It is making me thing that we need one. Hmmmm, maybe Santa can bring me one ;) You are doing so good at your excersizing!! Congrats!!

Be careful with Slimfast. I know you have had success in the past, but after a while it could start to have the opposite effect. That is what happened to me, I started gaining weight:scared1:

Have you ever thought of giving Weight Watchers a try? I say this because you obviously share my LOVE:love: for evil foods:rolleyes1 WW helped me becuase I truly learned how a little of those bad foods can knock me right off my groove. For example: Yesterday I ate a great breakfast, a great lunch and a great supper, I was completely on plan (OP) BUT I had a French Vanilla Smoothie worth 6 points!! 6 points for a drink!! I ended up going over 3 points for the day and it was all for a drink!! I never knew steamed milk with some french vanilla flavor would be that bad for me!! But now that I know that, I realize that in order to have it, I have to EARN it. You can earn activity points for those treats. And you would definatly get activity points from all your excesizing!! Anyway, I am not a spokesperson for weight watchers, I just thought I would suggest it. Let me know if you want links to some of the information.

I will keep checking in on you!!

I've thought about it, but I think it's fairly expensive isn't it? Also, for too many reasons to get into, I do not drive. Well..not far. I drive around our small town and even then, if I have to drive on the main road through town which can be VERY busy, I get nervous. I would have to drive to one of the next major towns over (at least 20-30 min) to get to a WW meeting, so between my fear of driving and gas prices being what they are, I would really rather not. Gotta do my part for ol' Mother Earth, yanno. :) If I don't lose weight after all this I will be surprised. I have been trying to stick to the diet (although I didn't yesterday!:blush:) and working my little tail off. I'm hoping that Santa brings me the Jillian Micheals fitness cd for Wii for Christmas. I've heard it's really tough and that's exactly what I'm going to be looking for when Christmas is over with.

As far as exercizing with the Wii, I LOVE it. I have exercised more in the last month than I had in the last decade or so. I just hit the 20 Hr mark and my Wii Fit Credit bank went from Gold (10 hrs) to Silver (20 hrs).:banana:

Once I lose the next 6 lbs, I'm resetting it and starting over with another 10 lbs.

I didn't feel quite as bad about eating the little candy I did tonight because I worked so hard this morning AND I walked for an hour with DS to collect it.:rotfl:

The hard part will be staying OUT of it over the next month. November is National Novel Writing Month and I have a tendency to grab a bunch of leftover Halloween candy to munch on while I'm working on The Great American Novel.

1 full glass (so maybe 16-18 oz) Dr Pepper plus 2-3 sips (like 1/4 of the glass) of a second Dr. Pepper.

I DID SO GOOD at dinner..normally I would've eaten the entire plate and downed a basket of chips BY MYSELF AND gone through three or four Dr. Peppers. I have the other half of my meal (1 av. enchilada w/tomatillo sauce, refried beans and half the basket of chips) in the fridge waiting for me.

I feel SO bad that I pigged out on the Halloween candy though. I'm going to have to find somebody to give it to, or something. Bleh. It doesn't help that in addition to the candy DS got Friday night, DH came home from convention on Friday with a bag full of sweets also. :faint:

A former colleague of mine used to say "Embrace it, and Let It Go!!" while hugging herself and then opening her arms as if to free what she was hugging (I know weird). But, in this case, that is exactly what you have to do. You ate it, now let it go!!

Remember, this is a lifestyle change. Halloween only comes once a year so who cares if you let yourself a high amount of treats - it is only once a year!! Remember that moderation means you can "pig out" in moderation too. (OK I do not really mean Pig Out, but you can treat yourself). Do NOT feel guilty - that will let to guilt eating (at least it does for me).

I love that you are tracking 10 lbs at a time!! What a great way to set small goals for yourself. Remember to plan a reward for yourself after the first 10 lbs. I am doing that after the first 20. I may buy myself a fancy outfit or something :hippie:

Keep up the good work And drink lots of water today. It will make you feel like you are flushing out the candy ;)

Woke up at 4 am this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. Tossed and turned for about 45 min before I got up and started quietly puttering around. I think the reason I woke up is I've been worried lately. With the economy in the toilet, money has been a little tight. Yeah, I realize we did go to WDW for 4 days this summer AND DH bought me a fairly expensive birthday gift (Wii+Wii Play game+Wii Fit). I was really surprised that he would spend that kind of money on a birthday gift when we don't exactly have a lot of extra to be throwing around. Still..it was a landmark birthday (I turned 30) and maybe I deserved it because we don't go out to eat that often, we don't buy a lot of unnecessary items and we don't go clothes-shopping unless we really, REALLY need it.
Still..expenses have been up almost all year because DH decided back in January he wanted to go back to school. So he's been enrolled in EMT classes since Feb. He was supposed to graduate over the summer but missed passing his final by a friggin point and a half. A POINT AND A HALF. :faint: He's really determined to finish and to graduate this time, so he's still going to school. Which means gas bill has gone up because he's filling his car up more than he normally would. And he's going to fast food resteraunts at least 2-3X a week (which he normally wouldn't do either) in between getting off work and class.:faint:

He helped me pick out some toys to 'give to Santa for boys and girls that need them', which I'm going to take down and donate tomorrow. :wizard: :santa: I kept all of his little matchbox cars and all of his larger shake-n-go type cars and while it's not AS full, the toybox still has a good number of toys in it. Christmas is right around the corner and I KNOW he'll be getting more toys then, so it's not like he's going to miss them.

First of all: :bday: I remember how hard 30 was for me, and now I am 32. Be prepared, 31 is worse, becasue then you have to admit you are "in your 30's) :rotfl2:

Secondly: Congrats to DH for making a commitment to such and awesome change!! You know, as much as that point and a half stinks, think how much better it will be when he does certify - he will have truly earned it!! pixiedust: to him that this time it goes better!!

Finally: This economy is having a strange affect on all of us. Here in Canada we are not in the same crunch as you, and where I live, the city is actually booming (the same is not happening in Toronto or other bigger Canadian cities). But, I cannot help but think the same way you do - is it going to come crashing down here too?? I am a worrier, but in this case I really have to remind myself I have no control. DH and I are sticking to our budget, we are saving a little more than we used to, and we are not splurging on anything right now. We still have not committed to that 2nd trip to the world, and may still cancel (we have lots of time). In fact, Christmas for us and DD will be much smaller than usual. For DD we bought her bunk beds months ago when they were on sale (she has been begging for bunkbeds) and then we are getting her one small toy or movie and her stocking stuffers. For each other, it is just stocking stuffers $25 limit. For DD's birthday, which is in 2 weeks, we only got her 1 toy (Barbie Pony for $20) and the Hannah Montana CD ($14). We have also been selling a lot of stuff on Kijiji (same as Craigslist) and socking that money away. Sorry to ramble on, but I just wanted to let you know that many of us feel the same way and are making small changes. Our energy bill went up $20 per month this month, but since gas is falling a bit, it should balance somewhat. It is OK to fell stressed, but why not think of a few ways to scale back a bit. Those small things can add up and you will not even notice the changes. (Like maybe DH can brownbag it all but 1 day and use that 1 day as a treat). I dunno, just some ideas.

I went to do my Body Test this morning and according to the Wii Fit, I haven't lost a darn thing. :confused: :eek: :sad: How is that possible? I mean, I didn't exercise over the weekend, unless housecleaning counts. I spent an hour cleaning the kitche on Saturday, and then ANOTHER hour cleaning and vacuuming the rest of the house. Spent at least half an hour yesterday cleaning and vacuuming the living room. So how can I not have lost any more weight since last week? :confused3

Amy--DS is 4 1/2 and it's hard for him to share sometimes because there's only one of him so he doesn't HAVE to share with anybody.:laughing: But I think teaching him to give back to the community from an early age can't hurt.

Definately. He became interested in becoming an EMT after attending (and graudating from) our local Citizen's Fire Academy as well as the Citizens Emergency Response Team courses. I also know he's really burned out on retail (which he's done for almost half his life) and this was a cheaper way to go back to school and change careers. It's just as hard as going back to college, but it's not quite as expensive. I think the most expensive thing, outside of paying for the course, was his superdedooper chest-listener thing(they have a name..stethoscope??).

I've been trying to save on the energy bill by keeping the thermostat lowered during the day. DH and DS aren't home for the most part, and I don't mind putting on a sweater to keep warm. The house I grew up in didn't have central heat/air so it was always freezing in the wintertime. So I don't mind being cold or having to bundle up inside my own house. I've been doing it most of my life.:rotfl:

I don't know what we're going to get DS for Christmas. We usually spend about $100 on just him (we don't usually get things for each other) but I don't know if we're going to do that this year or not. And even if we don't, it's not like he won't be getting ANYTHING for Christmas. My MIL and SIL love to spoil the heck out of him, so I know that even if we only get him one or two small things and some new clothes, DMIL and DSIL will have the rest of it taken care of.:woohoo: I know that for myself, I've only asked for a couple of things for Christmas--a pair of Minnie Jane Crocs:upsidedow , Sleeping Beauty and Ratatouille on DVD. I know that we're also probably going to get DS Wall-E on DVD when that comes out later this month. We've been telling him that if he's a good boy, Santa will bring it for him.:thumbsup2

I went to do my Body Test this morning and according to the Wii Fit, I haven't lost a darn thing. :confused: :eek: :sad: How is that possible? I mean, I didn't exercise over the weekend, unless housecleaning counts. I spent an hour cleaning the kitche on Saturday, and then ANOTHER hour cleaning and vacuuming the rest of the house. Spent at least half an hour yesterday cleaning and vacuuming the living room. So how can I not have lost any more weight since last week? :confused3

It is a Plateau, and it sucks? Not to get personal, and really you do not have to answer, I am just putting this out there - it is "that time of the month". You may just be retaining water as a result. Do not sweat it. If you read my Journal from Friday until now you will see I am in the same boat. It is really frustrating!!

Amy--DS is 4 1/2 and it's hard for him to share sometimes because there's only one of him so he doesn't HAVE to share with anybody.:laughing: But I think teaching him to give back to the community from an early age can't hurt.

DD (almost 4) is the same. She can share other people's things, but not hers. It is really hard to teach her when she is currently an "only" child. At daycare she is great, but get those same kids around her stuff and it is Meltdown City!! I am just firm and patient with her and I try to share with her lots myself. I am with you on the community thing - it is not going to hurt at all!! DD and I usually do the Shoeboxes for Project Christmas Child, but this year I want to do something closer to home. Maybe cleaning out her toys is just the thing.




I've been trying to save on the energy bill by keeping the thermostat lowered during the day. DH and DS aren't home for the most part, and I don't mind putting on a sweater to keep warm. The house I grew up in didn't have central heat/air so it was always freezing in the wintertime. So I don't mind being cold or having to bundle up inside my own house. I've been doing it most of my life.:rotfl:

I HATE BUNDLING UP AT HOME!! I think that at home I should be warm!! :santa: But, I see your point. Great job!! We got a programmable thermostat so DH has it set to warm up for 1 hour in the AM while we get ready and then cool off for the day, then warm up again until bed time and cool off again. He loves it, but last week I came home form work early one day and was FREEZING and one night I could not sleep and got up and FROZE my butt off!! He just laughs and thinks I should stay in bed :confused3

I don't know what we're going to get DS for Christmas. We usually spend about $100 on just him (we don't usually get things for each other) but I don't know if we're going to do that this year or not. And even if we don't, it's not like he won't be getting ANYTHING for Christmas. My MIL and SIL love to spoil the heck out of him, so I know that even if we only get him one or two small things and some new clothes, DMIL and DSIL will have the rest of it taken care of.:woohoo: I know that for myself, I've only asked for a couple of things for Christmas--a pair of Minnie Jane Crocs:upsidedow , Sleeping Beauty and Ratatouille on DVD. I know that we're also probably going to get DS Wall-E on DVD when that comes out later this month. We've been telling him that if he's a good boy, Santa will bring it for him.:thumbsup2

I cannot think of anything I really want this year. We just got a new house and the trip to WDW, so I am OK with not much this year. I have asked my mom for a couple of things from her and dad, but it is funny, from DH I would rather get nothing and save the money for the next trip.

I am with you 100%!! Normally I would have some encouragement for you, but I am hitting that wall too. It has been almost one month for me (it will be one month on Friday) and I am only at 8.4 lbs. So much for that 10 lbs per month goal. I just know if I do not make it the first month that it will be all downhill form there!!

I binge too (in fact check out my journal about yesterday - I ate my way through the day and am I ever paying for it today!! TUMMY ACHE!!). Why do we do this? It was not emotional because I was with friends and having fun, it was plain social eating. Which is weird because I am usually watching what I eat when I am with others (I feel all eyes are on me).

Basically, I have no big words of encouragement for you today other than, you are not alone!! I hope that helps.

Keep up the excersizing!! You are doing great!!

Tonight's dinner was a test. We went to CiCi's, a local pizza buffet. I had a small garden salad (not many veggie to choose from though. :( So it was mostly lettuce, sliced button mushrooms, green peppers and pickled jalapenos w/lite ranch dressing), only two small slices of pizza (pepperoni and buffalo chix wing :banana: )1 small piece of garlic bread and one small slice of their apple streusal pizza for dessert. I only drank 2 Dr. Peppers and those were mostly ice. So I think that I did fairly well, considering that NORMALLY when we go there, I don't eat a salad at all. I usually eat 6-7 slices of regular pizza and at least 2-3 slices of the apple streusal pizza and have three or four drinks.:woohoo:

This week is going to be pretty much a wash on exercise. The only time I can really do it is after DS goes to bed and by that point I'm too tired. He doesn't really nap during the day any more, so when he does nap, I'm asleep too. I've been wracking my brain trying to think of things to keep him busy while he's off school this week and I'm running out of ideas! We did a couple of cut-n-paste things this morning, colored a Thanksgiving turkey, wrote in his journal for 15 min, made the world's WORST sugar cookies:eek: , watched TV, made a "Countdown to Christmas" paper chain and he played for 20 min on the computer.

Now what do I do with him? It's been chilly outside lately..to the point where I don't want to go outside AT ALL. Which means we are stuck in the house all day. :faint: I am planning on taking him to the library tomorrow afternoon after his nap (if he takes one) and letting help me clean tomorrow morning. That still leaves Weds, Fri, Sat and Sun wide open with nothing to do. :( Ack.

I wish it was warm enough they could keep the pool open year round. He LOVES to go swimming and he's been begging me to take him swimming but he gets mad when I explain it's too darn cold now.

Hey there!! Just checking in!! I see you are still on you way!! Great job!!

Just a quick question, are you drinking Diet or Regular Dr Pepper. I love my soda too, but I always end up drinking my calories!! Have you tried the Nestea or Crystal Light flavored water packets? These are a life saver for me. The Nestea ones are made with Splenda, and the CL ones have aspertame (I know, but it is 0 calories). Anyway, just and idea!!

Hope you enjoy Thanksgiving this week (Canadians have theirs in October, so we do not get to eat turkey this week :( ) Good luck with your 2 meal dillema!!

I can't STAND Diet Dr. Pepper..it tastes horrible to me. I've tried the Crystal Light water packet things (DH buys them for work) but that doesn't taste any better. I usually just drink plain water or water with a little apple or lemon juice in it.

Today didn't go too badly..we arrived at the buffet for lunch with my parents and I ate only a salad. :) I did have 2 or 3 Dr. Peppers, but I didn't sweat it. When we had dinner again at my ILs an hour or so later, I didn't pig out like I normally do and I switched to water instead of soda. Well..I had one gingerale and a Diet Dr. Pepper, but mostly water.:banana: MIL made a chocolate cake, as today was DH's birthday and I only had a teeny little piece. :)

Supper (which I just finished) was a turkey sandwich with some leftover cranberry jello salad that my MIL makes that is DELISH.:banana: And water of course.

I have to stay up for a couple more hoours to make sure DH gets up on time. He's scheduled to go into work at an insane hour and I don't trust him to hear his alarm clock.

Today I am starting over. I am back on the diet (not that I was ever really off it) and back to exercising. DH got on the Wii Fit last night and over the last month he has lost 2 lbs and gone down a whole pant size..without doing anything!:mad: It's not fair..he eats like a pig and doesn't exercise and the only ONLY thing he's changed is that he now buys Crystal Light powder thingies to take to work with him so that he drinks water instead of those damn energy drinks. I work out, I try to stick to a diet and it's just not fair. :headache:

I stepped on the scale and it stayed the same as it had been 10 days before when DS got out of school for Thanksgiving. So I did well..I didn't gain anything but I didn't lose anything either. :) I know I didn't lose because I didn't have any time at all to exercise during the 10 days he was off. I am going to try and go for at LEAST 30 min a day when he's off for Christmas here in about 3 weeks.

There's a new gas station that just opened by us and I was REALLY tempted to stop in and get a soda before I went to go get in the car line to pick up DS but I didn't. I was tempted..but I didn't do it. :)

I really didn't want to exercise today. It's cold and yucky outside and I wanted to just curl up with my blanket because I feel like crap. I'm fighting off a cold and my nose is running and I just feel bleh. But I did it..I didn't want to but I made myself get up and do it. I'm fighting for every ounce that leaves my body..every single little ounce. It's a hard fight but I've got to keep going, I've got to keep working, got to keep fighting. I'm 1 lbs away from losing a total of 10 lbs and yes it's taken me nearly 2 1/2 mos to do it but I am doing it. Slowly, with every step, I am doing it.

I just took a shower and attempted to put on my size 14 jeans. They didn't fit..couldn't even button them. I almost started crying..this isn't fair. I've been working my tail off for two months and I can't fit into them still. :sad:

So today I step on the scale (well..the Wii Fit board actually) and it says my weight is now 182.9 which means I have lost 1.1 lbs since the last time I stepped on about a week ago. Despite not really watching my food intake and exercising less than I normally would this week, I've still managed to lose. :cool1:

Which means at this point, I have lost a grand total of about 4 lbs in 75 days. I started at 185 and I'm down to nearly 182 now. That's a little depressing. I need to change my ticker at the bottom to reflect that. I haven't done any additions to my ticker for the Walk To WDW because my pedometer (which was a McDonald's freebie) died on me and there's no way to change the battery. :sad: Oh well.

Every step of the way it's going to be a struggle. My ultimate goal has changed a bit. I want to lose as least 20 lbs, so that I'm at 165. I know I can do it. I just have to work harder and watch my food intake better. That's my biggest struggle..the food. I LOVE food. And the CHristmas holiday isn't going to make it easier. We're going to my mom's on Christmas eve and there's going to be tons of food because it's a potluck dinner with very few healthy choices.
We also got a gift cert for a local pizza place from an associate of DH's, yet another stumbling block for me because I LOVE pizza almost more than anything. Well..except for chicken fried steak. I love chicken fried steak more than any food in the world.

I am going to keep going though..got to keep trying. Got to keep struggling. I don't want to be fat any more and if it's going to change it's up to ME. Nobody else.

So it's a new year. The Wii Fit admonished me for not working out in nearly 2 weeks. I know I promised I would manage to squeeze in at least 30 min a day while DS was napping/having quiet time but I just..there was too much to do. And according to the balance board, I gained a pound and a half over the last two weeks, bringing me up to 184 lbs. Only one pound less than when I started working out 91 days ago. :( That's depressing.

I am going to start drinking more water..I've had 6 of my 8 glasses today already and it's not even even noon yet. I have no idea what I"m going to do for lunch but I know dinner is going to be..difficult. We're going out with my in-laws because DS is going to their house to spend the night. And I have the feeling DH might take me to a local wine bar afterwards..we got a gift cert from one of his friends for th wine bar and we might as well use it. DH always has fun watching ME get plastered, mostly because it doesn't happen very often.

Glasses of water drank today: So far, 7 1/2 and it's only 12:30 here. I've been drinking water like it's going out of style this morning. I just need to find a way to keep it up, esp once DS goes back to school. I also know I need to get rid of my bad, bad habit of grabbing a 32 oz softdrink from the 7-11 on my way to get in the car line for DS's school in the afternoon. By the time I have to go get in line (about an hour before he gets out of school), I'm so exhausted I can barely stay awake. I fight falling asleep while waiting for school to let out and crash once I get home for at least a half an hour just so I can make it through the evening.

And I did good on the tacos..normally I would eat th ree or four plus chips and beans and rice. I ate the two tacos and while I wasn't totally satisfied I did stop at those two tacos. They were SO nummy. But I know..I know. Barbecoa is bad. Anything with flavor is bad. Bread and pasta and tortillas are downright, Lord Of The Sith evil incarnate.

*sigh*
This is not going to be easy. I think tomorrow when we do the grocery shopping, I'm going to pick up a bottle of Slimquick or Hydroxycut to help me out.

Yes..I know. Diet aids=so bad it's the worst. But I feel like I'm at the end of my bleedin' rope here. I've tried every diet in the book at least once. All of them have failed. I feel like my only options at this point are diet aids or surgery and I don't think I really qualify for surgery anyway. Not that I want surgery..I hate going to the doctor as it is. I don't trust doctors. They're not evil or bad..I just don't trust them. So I've got to do this on my own. I know that my joint problems are worsened by my weight, as are my issues with my feet. I know that my weight was a big factor in the nearly crippling pain I was in while we were at Disney World this summer.

I've been one busy bee this morning. Folded one basket of clothes, put a load of towels into the dryer, put a load of other clothes into the washer. Folded the towels. Put the other clothes into the dryer and started a load of bed linens. Cleaned out and rearranged both DH and I's sock drawers. Cleaned out our dresser drawers and got rid of a half dozen old teeshirts that DH won't even miss, as well as some shirts that I don't even remotely fit into any more. Cleaned DS's bathroom and scrubbed his nasty plastic stepstool until it was all shiny and clean again.
Once DS wakes up from his nap, I plan on moving the furniture in the living room and vacuuming underneath. I also need to scrub down the kitchen and sweep/mop the floors in there.
I have been one busy little bee this morning and drinking tons of water. I have a large blue cup that holds about 36 oz worth of liquid. So far I've drunk two of those w/about 1/3rd ice.:woohoo:

I tried to catch up on all your pages, but I will be honest, I skimmed a couple because I was so far behind.

Here is what I noticed:

You are doing a good job!! Sometimes the scale lies. Plain and simple. Have you taken your measurements? I would be willing to bet you are toning all of you muscles with your workouts and although it is not showing on the scale, there is a difference. Do your clothes fit a little different? Bras? Undies? You get my drift!! Remember muscle weighs more that fat, so as you are toning, you are gaining muscle!!
Do not beat yourself up so much!! Clear those negative thoughts. This is your life and there are things you are just going to do - like a diet coke or 11 nuggets. You have to Embrace it and get over it ;) You are not failing, you are living. Life has bumps in the road and your road to 165 lbs will have bumps!! Do not worry about it!!
Rather than a weight loss drug have you thought of a multi-vitamin for weight loss? This will get you all of those vitamins, etc that your body may be missing and needs to function and then throws in a little extra B6 and other vitamins that help you metabolize food better. I am not against diet aids, I have tried them all, but for the most part they really do not work. I have found that a milti-vitamin really does help though. You just feel better. Let us know what you do, I would love to hear how the diet aid you chose works.
Just remember you are doing something and that is better than doing nothing!! You are focusing on this change and meeting hurdles as they come. And, even though you think you have made mistakes, you haven't. Because you are learning from them. You are doing great!!


Keep up the good work. The fact that it has been 90 days and you are still trying shows your determination!! You will do this!!

On another note, I still am still in the playing stage of my Wii Fit. You are my inspiration for this, so I hope that I can channel your determination!! 6 weeks ago I never thought we would get a Wii until spring and certainly not a Wii Fit!! But, I decided that the $100 for the Wii Fit was less than the gym - LOL!!

I am also waiting for DH to move our Elliptical machine. Ours is in the basement and I want it in the bedroom. I am hoping that if it is staring at me every morning and night, I will start to use it. Just 30 minutes a day to start!!

Well, off to update my journal. Keep up the good work!!

Thanks. I have noticed that my bras aren't fitting quite the way they used to and if I'm losing fat from my tatas and they're shrinking, that would be GREAT!:rotfl: I swear I'm the only woman on earth who envies women who are small-chested.:lmao:
I have a measuring tape so I need to start taking my measurements. I do have a pair of size 16 jeans I bought at Thanksgiving that are so loose I can pull them off now without unbuttoning them.:woohoo: I still don't fit into size 14 th ough...I had a pair of 14s in the drawer and I tried them on yesterday but I can't get them buttoned. :(

Thanks. :hug: This is pretty unusual for me to be honest. Normally, if I try something and I don't accomplish what I want very quickly, I quit. I'm such a perfectionist that not getting what I want on the first try drives me absolutely batty. That's why, when I'm working on a sewing project, I end up ripping ou t the stitches three, four or even five times until I'm completely satisfied.

I went and measured myself.
Waist is 36 inches. Ouch! :(
Chest is 40. :(
Hips are 45!!!! :scared:
My biceps are 13 inches around. THIRTEEN INCHES! :faint:

You would think that by now I'd know better than to let my blood sugar crash and burn. Got back from my walk and thought, "Oh I'm a little hungry." but sat down, had a huge glass of apple water (3/4 water, 1/4 apple juice) and watched Secret Life Of The American Teenager. Finished that, played half an hour of Wii Sports and thought, "Maybe I should eat something." But I didn't. I sorted the laundry and made the beds instead. So fifteen minutes later I'm feeling very wobbly in the middle and my fingers and feet are feeling very tingly the way they always do when I have a serious blood sugar crash. So I grab a yogurt and some string cheese and sit down with another glass of apple water.
I should be back to normal soon..within the next twenty minutes or so. I hate when this happens and fortunately, it doesn't happen very often any more. It used to happen all the time when I worked at Sucknic because we would have to work eight to ten hours without so much as a goshdarned bathroom break. By the time my shift was over, I'd be near to passing out so I'd have to sit and eat before I could even think of driving home.

I had to switch from the male trainer to the female trainer this morning. The male trainer has grown his hair out somehow and now instead of a short, spiky hairdo he's got this male Farrah Fawcett 'do. Kind of like Ashton Kutcher's when he was on That 70's show. I couldn't stand it..I ended up laughing so hard I tumbled off the balance board and onto the floor, with the Wiimote under my hip. Ouch.:rotfl2: I ended up just laying there giggling for several minutes because once I got going I couldn't stop. Switching to the female trainer wasn't much better. She was so enthusiastic, even when my stance was crap because I couldn't stop laughing. I ended up having to sit down and laugh some more because she kept clapping and saying how great I was, how strong I was.:lmao:

Last night I really got it for overdoing at dinner. The fried pickles were SO delicious but I think the seafood salad was turned. I ended up with the worst diarrhea I've had in a long, long time. :(

I have not tried the male trainer yet, but frankly I find the female one annoying "Great Job" over and over again, when I have fallen off the board long ago - LOL!!

Good job on keeping at it. I am still not in a rythym and am so sparatic.

I love Mini Wheats and would eat them every meal too - LOL!! Looks like we have a lot in common :)

Doing the exercise bike has been a struggle for me, but it seems to be getting a little easier. I took Bob and Jillian's advice and sang throughout the workout. I know I probably sounded ridiculous but since I was alone in my garage, I don't think anybody cared much.:rotfl2: When I got off the bike, I was like, "Oh..this is new." because my legs felt like they were made of stone. They didn't hurt..they just felt stiff and hard to move. I took a short break, watched Bob blow his top on Biggest Loser:happytv: and had a snack. Got good and hydrated and did some yoga. Went to do my lunges and HOLY FREAKING CRAP! I could barely get through one set of 15 because my legs hurt SO much when I went to do them. When I was finished with both legs, I sat on the floor and just w himpered like a little baby. Owie.

*edited--I really effed up on dinner. I was hungry and exhausted and grocery day is Friday so there's not a whole lot of food left in the house. So I ate what was easy and fast and I feel so bad about it now. Esp the bacon. :(

I'm sitting here, still trying to calm my body down from that weird dream I had. DH woke me up, accidentally, when his alarm went off and I went back to sleep. I began having a very bizarre dream in which I was chased by an African-American guy who did, in the end, catch me and try to kiss me which got him a knee to the groin.
Clearly I am ambivalent about Obama being our president.:lmao: That is signified by the fact that I was chased by an African-American man in my dream. I am doubtful of his ability to 'unify the country' as he says because I did not want to be smooched on by him. :lmao: :rotfl:

Sure it was disturbing, but at least I can laugh about it.

*edit--I haven't lost a single pound. :sad:
*edit #2--I had an argument with DH right after dinner and after he left to go run some errands I snorked down a chocolate donut and a big glass of chocolate milk. I felt REALLY bad about it and about 15 min after I'd done it, I went in the bathroom and made myself throw it up. I felt SO much better after that.

I struggle with the soda issue as well so I can totally relate. It looks like you are getting lots of use from your Wii Fit! I wish I was that committed to it! You are doing a great job of logging your food but in the future I'd caution you on throwing up after a "binge" of sorts. You are much better off to just move forward and not dwell on that. Life's not about being perfect - just make more healthy decisions than unhealthy and you'll see a loss! Hang in there :) :goodvibes:

I haven't logged my food for almost a week. Last week was a bad week..DS was off school several days due to an ice storm and the icky weather made me just not want to exercise at all so I didn't. :(

Well, it makes sense. I didn't exercise at all hardly last week since DS was out of school due to an ice storm and I didn't really pay a whole lot of attention to portion sizes a couple of times. We went out to dinner with the ILs Sat. night and I had a steak and mashed potatoes and a big salad w/ranch dressing and several Rice Krispies treats AND a small bowl of ice cream w/chocolate sauce. :faint:

I didn't make my last goal, which was to lose 5 lbs in one month's time. So now my new goal is 2 lbs over the next two weeks.

So this morning, I went out and hiked for about 30 min or so while geocaching. I came back, piddled around on the internet for about an hour then went back out again. This was a DUMB idea. I hadn't eaten in nearly 4 hours so I was a little hungry but I ignored it. I went out anyway and walked around for nearly an hour. By the time I got back I was shivering and felt freezing cold even though it's not that cold out. My blood sugar had plummeted and I felt a dizzy. I gulped down two glasses of Koolaid so fast I gave myself a headache. I ate the yogurt and then went for the PB because I thought maybe the protein would help me feel better. I sat under a blanket, shivering and watched last night's "Secret Life". I was STILL freezing cold when it was over, so I hopped in the shower and turned it on as hot as I could stand it. I was FINE while I was in the shower and I didn't want to get out. The minute I got out, my body temp dropped and I was freezing cold again. Right now I'm sitting here in DH's sweatpants, a teeshirt and one of his heavy sweaters STILL freezing and shivering. I ate lunch but it was like my mind was fuzzy. I had a hard time deciding what to eat, because I couldn't think clearly. After I ate and about 15 min passed, I felt clearer although still freezing.
This really freaked me out. I'm beginning to wonder if I should go to the dr to see if I'm prediabetic or something.:confused3 I should probably call DH too, but he'd just freak out and want to take me to the hospital or something. He JUST passed his EMT basic course and is going to take the state licensing exam in like two weeks.

I went from being freezing cold to burning up with a headache that makes me feel like my head is going to explode. My eyes feel like they're going to pop out of my skull and I'm slightly nauseated. I just took my temp--it's 101. My body's starting to ache too. Dammit, I bet I have the flu. :sad: I could barely bring myself to eat dinner but I knew I had to, so I could have SOMETHING in my stomach.

I think I might be losing a little weight this week after all. I think I've come down with the flu. :( Yesterday I was shivering all day and couldn't get warm but last night I was burning up. My head ached and my eyeballs felt like they were going to explode. This morning, around 2 am, it was the worst. I got up to use the bathroom and about near fainted from the pain in my head and eyes. I took my temp it and it said 101.8. Lovely.:rolleyes: We don't have any Theraflu but DH did find some Dayquil in the back of the medicine cabinet. I took that and the pain is mostly gone. Gone enough that I can function even though I still feel lousy and am still running a hundred degree fever.

I don't know if I'll be able to keep anything down..I tried eating my normal breakfast this morning and couldn't keep it down. :( So we'll see.....
I just hope DS doesn't get sick. That's ALL I need..a feverish, puking kid.:crazy2:

I had some cereal this morning, but I puked it up. I've been drinking water like crazy all day and I ate some brown rice with sauteed mushrooms. Was able to keep that down. I've been running a 100 degree fever all day and as long as I'm semi-upright, I don't feel like my head's going to explode. I've been sleeping on and off all day on the couch in a half-sitting up position because I don't think I slept very well last night. I remember at one point I was having conversations with people..I don't know if I was dreaming or hallucinating. :eek:

Day two of being sick. I took some Dayquil (it was all we had in the house) when I went to bed last night and I think it quit working around 2 am, because that's when I woke up sneezing and coughing my brains out. I've got some regular decogestant and I might try that, just to clear my head out so I can not be in pain when I take DS to school here in a bit.

If I'm still this weekend, I'll probably end up going into the local CareNow clinic on Sun afternoon after DH gets off work. I hate being sick. I barely have enough energy to do anything and the house is a disaster. :(

Day three (or four, if you count Tuesday) of being sick.
I'm beginning to think it is less the flu than it is a TERRIBLY bad cold AND a sinus infection on top of that. Still sneezing and coughing my brains out and there is a pain, like somebody drove a knife into my skull, that never goes away. Even when I take Dayquil, it doesn't fully go away. It's still there and when I move or cough or sneeze it gets so bad I have to lay down. DH thinks it's just a really bad cold but I know better. I'm going to try and get into the emergency clinic tomorrow night after he gets home from work or Sunday after he gets off. Because I honestly think this is getting worse, even if he doesn't.
Last night DS had a performance at school..their class (and everybody else's class) were doing nursery rhyme songs. I feel SO bad I had to miss it. DH told me he talked to the principal and explained that I was sick, so they would excuse DS if I decided to keep him home today. I looked at him like he'd lost his mind. Those hours when DS is at school allow me to get the rest I need and take care of MYSELF without having to worry about him. I get to be with him for the next three days (no school MOnday). I won't get any rest then, I'm sure of it. I need this day off..I mean yes I've had all week, but I need this one extra day. I am sick. I am in servere pain. I don't need or want DS crawling all over me, begging me for this that and the other. So I'm a bad mom for feeling this way. Sue me.

Every Mom I know feels that way. Those hours they are in school are precious hours to get stuff done! FOR those sweet kids!

And if you are sick...definitely need to rest!

I was so glad for DS to go back to school today. I was able to get out and walk, which I haven't done in 2 weeks and work out on my Wii. I lost that 1.5 lb s I gained from who knows where plus another half pound so I'm back where I was before I gained the 1.5 lbs.:cool1: I actually LOST weight while I was sick and tending to DS even though I didn't work out at all. I set a new goal of 2 lbs in 2 wks, which I know is totally doable.

I also need to get back in the habit of doing small weights on my arms (I have a pair of 3 lbs weights) and strength training on the Wii Fit. I haven't done that in FOREVER and when I did it today, I thought I was going to keel over and die. I did one set of 10 reps on my legs for the squats (I tink that's what they're called) an d it felt like my thighs were on fire.:scared: I did 30 jackknives and HOLY SMOKES my abs hurt after that but I was determined to press on and do some more strength exercises. I didn't want to, but I did.

I am SO afraid of becoming morbidly obese. I see shows like The Biggest Loser and World's Fattest Man and I can totally see that happening to me if I'm not careful. I LOVE to eat so much..which always gets me into trouble. We went out for dinner on Friday night at Chilis and I had NO problem wolfing down one of their Big Mouth Burgers and about half of my fries. :( I tried to limit how many Dr. Peppers I drank too and I think I only drank maybe 2 and a half of another one.

Saturday I had a normal weekend breakfast of pancakes w/butter and syrup and bacon and Dr. Pepper to drink. I don't think I pigged out too badly on Saturday and I did meh..maybe ok yesterday. 2 small cinnamon rolls w/Dr. Pepper for breakfast, a ham sandwich and baked chips w/Dr. Pepper for lunch and only 3 smallish slices of pizza w/Dr. Pepper for dinner. I had 4 small pieces of chocolate from a box that DH bought me for dessert.

I'll be glad once this bottle of Dr. Pepper I bought at the grocery store this weekend is gone. Once it's gone, I'll have nothing but water, juice or Koolaid to drink and I won't have to worry so much. Dr. Pepper is one of my worst demons.

*edit--I decided since it was nice out today, I'd go geocaching after I dropped DS off at school. I looked up one cache that was a fairly easy (2/2) difficulty that was about 3 miles from my house. I thought I'd save my gas and walk there. My GPS navigated me there fine although I didn't find the cache. Oh well. Maybe next time. Took me about 45 min to walk there, fifteen minutes of messing around hunting for the cache and then another hour or so to walk back. By the time I got back to my house, my legs were KILLING me. Ouchies. I got hydrated and had some yogurt and got right back up. I did my yoga and my strength exercises even though my abs are killing me from the jackknives. By the time I finished the Wii exercises, my legs were just quivering. But I felt good that not only was I able to walk so far, but complete my other stuff as well. I'd never have been able or had the desire to do that before I started all this. Before I would've said, "Eff this. I just walked for TWO STINKING HOURS!" and collapsed on the couch. But I didn't today. I walked my little booty off and then did some more, even though I was in a bit of pain. :)

I didn't exercise at all yesterday because I woke up SO sick. I woke up at 2 am with this horrible pain in my abdomen which I thought was gas, so I took some Mylanta and part of the pain went away. But on the right side, just where my ribs are, there was a pain like somebody'd jabbed me with a flaming hot fishhook and it wouldn't go away. I vomited so much..like every 20 min and it wasn't just stomach acid. It was a thick, mustard-colored stuff. No matter what I did the pain refused to go away. I don't know how I drove DS to school..I felt like I was going to vomit the entire time. I got home, managed to eat a piece of plain toast and some water and I fell asleep because I was so exhausted. When I woke up a couple hours later the pain was gone.
I asked the CB (because you know that's where all the DIS doctors hang out.;) ) and done some research on my own and I may have had a gallbladder attack.:guilty: I'm going to the dr on Friday anyway for my annual exam, so I'll have to remember to talk to him about that. Urgh. I hope this doesn't mean I"ll have to have my gallbladder removed. Bleh.

So I had gallbladder surgery yesterday and I didn't really eat anything all day. I wasn't allowed to. I had a couple of graham squares..bleh. No flavor and they stuck to the insides of my mouth. Yuck. I managed to eat some chicken veggie soup for dinner, but that was it. This morning so far I've had half a bowl of cereal and a handful of plain, unsalted tortilla chips. I just don't have the desire to eat, even though I know I need to.

Well, I guess you can call my new diet "The No Gallbladder Diet". I've discovered that since the removal of my gallbladder on Weds that if I eat ANYTHING with the least bit of fat or grease in it, I get ill.

No kidding.

Thursday, I had part of a piece of leftover pizza from DH's dinner the night before and it made me nauseated.

Today, I had a couple of slices of bacon for breakfast which gave me abdominal cramps. When I had lunch (a deli ham sandwich w/Hellman's, a mixed greens salad w/ranch dressing and 16 oz of plain ginger ale) I got the runs. Bleh.

That's not fun.:(

So I guess it's no more hamburgers or french fries or chicken fried steaks (my favorite!!) for me. :( I'm going to have no choice but to eat more fruits and veggies because everything else makes me ill. :(

This SUCKS.

I didn't do anything today..I wanted to but when I got back from dropping DS off, I just suddenly felt so EXHAUSTED that I couldn't. I did get two HUGE loads of laundry done, picked up our bedroom as well as DS's, gave his bathroom a quick scrub down and vacuumed the living room. And put together DS's train set for him...he's been begging me for a couple days now. Most of my pain is gone now, except for a small, stabbity sort of pain just under my ribs on the right side. I have NO idea what it is, other than annoying. It's not very painful at all..I'd say a 1 or a 2 on the pain scale. It's just annoying as heck.
Tomorrow, if the weather is good (and heck even if it's not) I'm going to go for a walk after I drop DS off. I am SICK of being stuck in the house and being inactive. This is driving me NUTS.

I AM DOWN ANOTHER 1.1 lbs! :banana: WOOOHOOOO!
That makes me feel better about the weekend. Saturday I had McDonald's for breakfast--a sausage McGriddle (OMNOMNOM:laughing: ) and a hash brown with a medium soda. Lunch was fairly normal--tuna sandwich with chips and water. Dinner we went out to a new resteraunt here in town called MooYah Burgers which HOLY COWPATTIES BATMAN! Their hamburgers are SO good. I did myself a favor and only got the junior burger (which is a single patty) with no cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and MooYah sauce (which is kind of like McDonald's Big Mac special sauce). I also had a small fry and another soda :( so I worried it was going to cause me to either gain weight or at least stay the same as I was last week.
But I'm down! The Wii sounds so..unhappy..when it chirps "You're overweight!" now. It used to sound so PERKY when it would chirp "That's obese!" at me.:rotfl:

It's so freaking cold out and I"m exhausted. I didn't sleep well last night and I'm probably not going to exercise again today. :( I just don't have the energy for some reason and now our heater is broken. So the house is cold and all I want to do is curl up under a blanket and go back to sleep or watch TV or something. DH is going to call the repair guy as soon as he gets back from taking his 9-1-1 operator test this morning.

I haven't logged my food intake for awhile. :( And last week DS was on Spring Break so I didn't really watch my portion sizes the way I needed to or exercise like I'm supposed to. :( We went to the zoo on Friday and I had Burger King for lunch. Granted..it was a kid's meal (chix nugs, fries and a large Dr. Pepper) but it was still fast food. Saturday we went to dinner at Golden Corral and I ate until I felt like I was going to throw up. :( So I expected to find out today that I'd gained a little weight when I got on my Wii Fit.
Nope. I've lost weight..0.2 lbs. :) It would probably be closer to a half pound or more, but it's that time of month and I'm retaining water like a darned camel.

So last night I went to WalMart to buy some new yoga pants to work out in. My old ones are suffering from the same thing my pants ALWAYS suffer from: the inside of the thighs gets rubbed threadbare because my thighs are so fat they rub together.
So anyway...my hand automatically went for the size 16/18 pants I've worn forever and I went to the dressing room so I could see what I looked like in them.
They didn't fit!:cool1:
I had to go get a size 12/14!!!:cool1::banana::woohoo:

I know I"m not supposed to weigh myself every day but I did yesterday and I had mysteriously gained 3.5 lbs.:mad: Where did THAT come from?:confused3

I weighed myself again today and the 3.5 lbs has gone away again, taking another 0.02 lbs with it.:upsidedow

I really don't feel like working out today. I'm kind of depressed because when I stepped on the Wii Fit board yesterday, it told me I gained 2.2 lbs. :scared1: :( It's probably from all the Dr. Peppers I drank last week, which was more than normal for me. I had a 32 oz Dr. Pepper almost every day last week when I went to pick DS up from school. :(

Stupid caffiene addiction.:headache: I really got addicted when I worked for Sonic and I've never been able to fully kick the habit.

*ETA--I did end up exercising today. Didn't want to. But I did anyway. Still feel like crap, though. I started to do a yoga routine and went to move into half moon when I said, "Oh hell. *bleep* this." and decided not to do it after all.

Holy moly..I do NOT know what I caught over the weekend but I feel like I've been beat up something fierce. It feels like there is a hot wedge of clay shoved between my eyeballs, my throat hurts and my nose is running. I also feel slightly nauseated.
I don't know if I"ll work out today or not seeing as I feel so ick. I should..I barely did anything on Friday and didn't work out at all over the weekend. Had a BIG weekend..ate at McDonald's on Saturday for breakfast (Sausage mcGriddle and a hashbrown plus diet Dr. Pepper) and went to the inlaws for dinner (Hamburger and a hot dog plus chips and 3 Diet. Dr. Peppers). Ate normally Sunday, trying to make up for Saturday. Urgh. :faint: Somebody shoot me now and get it over with?;)

*edited to add--I didn't want to work out today because I felt sick but I made myself anyway and I know I'm better off for it. I didn't gain any weight nor lose any..I"m exactly where I was last week when I weighed myself. In fact, the Wii Fit chastised me because I didn't loose quite enough weight. My predicted BMI (had I lost what I was supposed to) was 27.66 I think. When I did the Body Test Today, my BMI was 26.71. So close, but not close enough. I set a new goal..2 lbs lost in 2 wks just like always. I've got to keep plugging along..got to keep working and I'll get there eventually. I have noticed my butt looks a bit smaller..not much..but a bit. And my stomach looks flatter and my pooch looks a wee bit smaller. So yay for changes. I LOVE the way my legs look from the knee down. My calves are finally starting to look really toned. WOOHOO!

I really had to make myself work out..I didn't feel like it but I did it anyway. And I KNOW I overate when it came to dinner time. DS didn't eat ANY of his casserole..just the mixed green salad I gave him. :( I loved the casserole's flavors and whatnot so I felt compelled to eat his portion because it was so yummy.

According to the Wii Fit I've also gained 0.7 lbs. :( Not good. It's the Diet Dr. Peppers..I'm sure of it. I had one every day (well M-F anyway) last week and I've already had at least 3 this week. So I've got to stop.

I ate that cake for breakfast and I wish I hadn't. It made me feel so nauseated and I'm not sure why. I LOVE carrot cake usually. Maybe it was the icing. I dunno. But I got diarrhea from it and felt sick to my stomach to the point that I didn't want to exercise at all. But I forced myself to. I have to force myself to work out even when I don't want to because that's how I got to be where I am now..out of shape and fat as a piggy. I'm getting into better shape but I'm not there yet.

I am sure you can relate to this.. I was sitting here eatting chips and dip reading the diet threads!:rotfl:
And I came across yours, it's so honest.
I know how hard it is to diet, that's why i'm not doing it.
But Good For You For Trying!
You are really inspiring with your exercising.
And I can see a progression on food choices from where you first started til now. It's little changes that add up.

I too love Dr Pepper and sometimes Nothing in this world is better than Icey Cold Dr Pepper with Chips and Dip!

I'm going to start switching to the sugar free stuff and when i go off ...oh well... i'll just try to do better next meal. No need in beatting ourselves up over some pizza!

I'm also going to try to have a salad for one meal a day..could be a chicken fajita salad or fried chicken tender salad.. but i'm going to try to get those veggies in.

I just wanted to wish you Good Luck and tell you that you are Great *Just* the way you are!
