Anyone cancel due to hurricanes?

We did not go on our trip that we had planned this week from Sept 6 to Sept 14th.

DH did not want to chance it with all the rain and a 22 month old!! We rescheduled for Feb, but I sure hated to miss out on the free dining offer. Oh well, maybe next time. But I am so sad!! I was really looking forward to WDW this week!!

Hoping we don't have to do the same! Ike may shut Houston airport before we get out. Flight is scheduled for 1:30 PM Friday and Hobby has already announced they are suspending operations at 9 AM Friday. DH already changed his flight to Monday (he's involved with Emergency Response in our county as well as a county official) but the rest of us (10 in all!!!) are hoping to make it out before airport closes. Current path of storm takes it directly over our county sometime Saturday afternoon. Keeping our fingers crossed!:scared:

We were thinking that we were maybe going to have to leave on Monday instead of Tuesday, but we didn't make any changes, and all of our flights were on schedule. We were just down for the weekend, the 6th-9th.

We may have to cancel ourselves! :sad2: :sad1: I'm assuming SW will be back up at Hobby by the 22nd, but my ILs were supposed to watch the kids while we went on our VERY much needed vacation alone next week. They were evacuated, and we have no idea when they'll even be allowed back to their home or if they'll even have power. Thankfully their neighbor's assessment of the house looks like minimal damage, but I just don't know if it'll happen!! I'm so depressed!!!!!!!! :worried: :(
