In August we are staying 5 nights at BCV and 2 nights at AKL concierge. I'm not going to rent a car this trip A) because of the cost, and B) someone on the Board pointed out how hot it is in the summer to be trucking across a parking lot and then have to get in a hot car. (Thank you who ever pointed this out, it's not something I would have thought of myself) I'm pretty sure the hotels or concierge would handle baggage transfers but thought I had better double check.
Thanks,
Alice

Anne,
How long was your luggage lost? Was there any compensation? If you needed to transfer your bags now would you take a cab? Maybe I'll just take a cab over to AKL. Better to be safe than without my make-up:D Wouldn't want to be responsible for starting a stampeed on the savanah.
Thanks for the heads up,
Alice

I need more info on this too. We are doing two transfers--from BWV to Poly, then from Poly to VWL. What is the time frame? We want to spend most of our first Poly afternoon swimming, water mice, etc. Should I just throw our suits in the backpack or is it a timely transfer--or should we take a cab too?

So do you think if you have a car take your own luggage?????? It sounds as if this would be faster... Thanks corvair

Rock'n Robin--definitely take your swimsuits with you. And since you're switching twice, be sure to take the transfer tags off after the first switch. We didn't think to do that and there was a mix-up with the transfer because the bags still had the GF to Poly tags on them when we transferred from Poly to AKL.

Yup! You need to clearly mark each piece of luggage with your name, and new resort name and the # of pieces that are being transferred.

how much is a cab from BWV to Poly? I don't think I want to mess with the transfer, esp. since we'll have food in bags as well. Maybe just from Poly to VWL.
