I'm trying to make candys, peppermints to be exact. I need to figure out a way to make the wrappers. Any suggestions? I tried clear sheets like we use for shaker boxes and I've tried ziploc bags. Neither is a go. I have wide sheer white ribbon but it's not wide enough to cover the whole mint, unless I make the mint smaller. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
this is the paper I have. I cut the mints from this.

You could try clear celephane? party bags or shrink wrap.

Or Saran wrap.
Or stay with the transparency idea, cut the whole shape - ripples squiggly fan, circle, ripples squiggly fan and place it over the mint circle.
How about my favorite kitchen product....Glad PressNSeal? :thumbsup2

I tried the backing from the Jolees stuff, it's too clear.
I did find a candy pattern on the Christmas Cheer cart, so I'm going to try that with Vellum.
I'm not having a very productive day.

I thought about those but I doubt they are acid free.

I need different color brads so I guess I should look for wider sheer ribbon.
I really hate when the great idea I have in my head doesn't work out.

I was going to say saran wrap..especially if they are going on as just embellishments away from the photos... I'm actually going to try this w/ halloween stickers and make them into suckers w/ see thru wraps on them!!!

Ok, I will try saran wrap.
I'll let you know how it goes, I think lollipops will be easier since you have 1 end to twist and you have the stick to reinforce everything with. I think I need some chipboard or something to back mine with.

If you don't have any I can send you some blank stuff. I would just cut it down to mail in an envelope but I have tons of it. I have a milk crate full of blank 8.5 by 11 sheets.

Maybe you could use some tulle netting? You know, the sheer netting that's used to make bridal veils? They make it in white iridescent, that might be pretty!

I gave up and just pop dotted the mints to the corner of the page. the saran wrap was just to close to the mat for comfort.
I'm not nuts about the design but it's ok. I'm adhering the titles today and I'll post pics.
