I've read you have to have an AP to book a RO hotel at Disney. But then I've read the odd person has managed to get a RO price without one. Any tips? I'm hoping to call tomorrow to get a price (only Cheyenne is showing on Expedia without tickets and we weren't wanting to stay there really)... hope I get a CS rep who is none the wiser :thumbsup2
Does anyone know roughly how much Disney add on for the park tickets? Is it the normal price that they'd charge as stand alone tickets or less?
Thanks :rolleyes1

It is very difficult to get room only without passes. Those who have managed to do it have really just been lucky. Its worth ringing up to ask though as you never know.
Cheyenne is very nice- we stayed there at Easter and would definitely stay again.
Where would you like to stay?

Sorry probably didn't come across right - it's not that I'm against Cheyenne at all. We wanted the nearest hotel (other than Disneyland Hotel as it's too expensive this time!) and I've been told that's the HNY. I'm hoping to be able to pop backwards and forwards with the baby during the day if need be :)
I suppose I can only try - have to say I think it's a bit of a rip off that you have to book with park tickets and then can't get them refunded if you buy an AP - Disney are then getting the dosh twice! I wonder if you can book RO if you live in France?
Will let you know how I get on :)

been meaning to post a topic on this. We recently booked to go sept 22nd for 5 nights. during the 2 weeks or so it took us to book we went over multiple different options of dates/hotels etc and every time I rang for pricing (which from memory was 5 or 6 times) I was able to get a room only price without the person on the other end batting an eyelid.
Two of them did ask why room only? at which point I responded I was planning to buy AP's. One however also pointed out with some hotels on the extra day/night free offer it was cheaper to get the room with the tickets as opposed to booking the room only price. So he ran up prices for both. In some cases this was true!
So they must have had a policy shift as most of them didnt even question why I wanted room only and the others didnt try and stop me, they just asked why.
