Jackie & Jonathans Trip Report Completed 15/11

Hi everyone back from holiday today and between Jonathans Camera and my own as well as those from the photopass cd (before any edits) around 1500 pictures to share with you. So I thought id start my trip report.

Day 1 - The Journey

Me and Jonathan wake up at around 6am cases and hand luggage already packed and only needing to wash and dress before my mum would take us to the airport. We arrived at Manchester Airport at 7 am to find out that the flight had been delayed by 3 hours due to thunderstorms stopping the inbound flight from returning on time :sad2: . So having checked in online and with the new security system up in place we was through check in and security within 10 minutes and off to find somewhere to grab breakfast. Jonathan had a full english breakfast and I had sausage and bacon on toast. Then it was time to look around the shops and lose the 6 hours time that would now be spent in the airport. At around 11 I saw the plane come in and told Jonathan how it was our plane so we followed it to the gate, we took pictures and sat around the plane, Because the gate hadn't been put on screen for us yet Jonathan kept saying it may not be our plane but I told him that there wouldn't be more than the one Virgin jumbo departing that day from Manchester. Our plane was the Ladybird here is a picture I took.

At around 12 knowing that I do not like plane food and because we was working up an appetite we went to Burger King however I left most of it as my chicken strips were dry and I was nervous about the flight. At around 1 boarding was finally called, yipee we would finally be on our way to Orlando soon. We should of been nearly half way there by now.

The plane journey there was ok we had mild turbulence for a while but nothing extreme. Me and Jonathan both had beef stew, I thought it was ok for plane food but after the turbulence was feeling a little sick and couldn't stomach eating it all. I watched Prince Caspian and Iron Man the rest of the time I spent looking through our plans, compared to past trips with mum and dad the flight went pretty fast I think thats because I was with Jonathan.

On arrival in Orlando it was just after 6 there time and we had to land through a thunderstorm the pilot did a really good job infact it was the best landing I have experienced. We went over to the far side of immigration after my advice from the dis boards and walked straight through as we got called into the American residents isle we was also lucky as our bags where ready and one of the first off the carousel. We also got brushed past having to have our bags scanned so didnt have to wait in the que for that which was nice as we made it straight up to the monorail bags in hand as we didnt want to put them on a carousel. When we made it to the dollor desks we was in line for about 5 minutes before we got called to the express desk which was empty, the whole process was pretty quick and we was soon sat in our Dodge Caliber, The whole process of landing to leaving the airport took 30 minutes so Jonathan was already impressed with America and we hadnt left the airport. Phew! We decided not to take the interstate while he got used to driving in America and we missed the turning for the toll road luckily we managed to end up on a quiet road that took us the scenic route around all the villas and somehow ended up at Vineland Avenue and on route to the hotel. We was tired and starving by the time we had checked in, we set the bags in the room and Jonathan changed into his shorts before we headed to the food court for hot dogs and chips by the time we had finished our food it was around 8:30 so we unpacked the suitcases and jumped straight in bed to tired to do anything.

Thanks, im going to start by doing part 1 to our first day at Disney.

Day 2Day 2: Disney's Hollywood Studios

We had set the alarm for half 6 so that we could shower and have breakfast before going to Hollywood Studios I wanted to get there for rope drop and we also had to exchange our vouchers. I woke a little earlier than half 6 probably due to still fitting in with the time difference. It was about 8 when we set off for Hollywood Studios it only took us about a 10 minute drive to the car park from where we was staying at the Fairfield Inn Lake Buena Vista. I was glad that we got here early as when we got to the vouchers stand there was a problem the lady told us how she had to wait to get someone to come and sort the problem out because virgin had used the same reference on the voucher again she says virgin do this quite a lot, It took about 15 minutes to sort out and the disney lady was apologetic even though it wasn't her fault she was very friendly and we had a good chat as we baked in the boiling sun that was already sweltering for that time in the day. We then went through and got in the long crowd of people waiting for the rope drop.

At 9 when the rope was dropped we headed through the shops to get through without being hurdled in the huge crowd. I had told Jonathan we was heading straight to Pixar Place to do Toy Story Mania, it was only 10 minutes from opening and the queues for fast passes where nearly as long as the ride itself we got to the ride entrance and it already was up at 65minutes long, we decided to get in the queue anyway as we had heard about how good it is and that the queue is worth doing in itself. It turns out we was probably only in there for about 30 minutes although we was lost in the theming of the queue and looking about so wasn't paying attention to the watch. Not the best but everyone was taking pictures so it was hard to get while moving as well.

The ride itself is amazing and is now one of my favorites in Disney World its really fun and me and Jonathan had a great time battling away. Jonathan has some more pictures of the queue ill add these later when i have a copy of his photos.

After we got out the ride the fast pass queue was now clear and the times where already for 3:45 until 4:45 so we picked up another fast pass as we both wanted to ride again. Im glad I choose this park and ride first as it set things off on a great start for Jonathan who I am pleased was loving Disney hey I have to convert him I kept asking how do you find disney so far. :lmao:
After we had our fast pass we headed over to do Backlot tour which had no queue. We took some pictures before the next show started.

I loved how they had added Pirates of the Caribbean props to the queue line now. We got in the first staging area only to discover that the main pearl harbour attack was not working at the moment but we still got to see some of the smaller affects that are used we said we would come back later to see if the pearl harbour attack sequence was working. I took these pictures in the first set up.

Day 2:Disneys Hollywood Studios ~ Part 2

We then headed off on our tour around the backlot of the studios snapping many pictures as we went around the lot.

it was very quiet and peaceful when we entered surely nothing bad would happen.

After we left Backlot tour we went over to Indiana Jones love this show its a really good one to watch.

Once we had finished on Indiana Jones we went over to Star Tours and while in the queue a really cute baby bunny ran past my foot into the bushes if only I had my camera out. Jonathan loved this ride and loved the queue after we came off I took pictures of him outside the ride on his camera so I dont have a copy of these to share. By this time we was hungry and decided not to eat at my usual choice of backlot express because we had reservation at 50's Prime Time cafe that night, on this we walked over to fairfax fries for fries and water and sat down for a breather outside beauty and the beast.

Day 2: Disney's Hollywood Studios ~ Part 3

After lunch it was nearly time for the first of the days showings of Lights Moters Action Extreme Stunt Show which was the one that Jonathan really wanted to watch and I am a lover of nice cars myself so didn't mind watching this one plus I like the view that you get from the bleachers. So off we headed there and got our place in the bleachers I was thankful that I had got a disney misting fan because it was sweltering I also took the time to take a few pictures of the view before the show.

I liked this show I thought they had some really good affects Jonathan absolutely loved it, and I think it was another winning factor in getting him to be a Disney convert. Jonathan took the pictures of the show on his camera so when I get a copy ill post a few of these.

After the show had finished we had another hour to wait before the start of our fastpass time for Toy Story Mania so we decided to go and see Muppets. Although it is old and nothing compared to the new 3d Shows it is still one of my favorites. We got in to the show just as the preshow was finishing so didn't have to wait around which was good.

Once Muppets had finished we still had time to spare so I thought we should head over to The Great Movie Ride we walked straight into the theatre and then only had to wait a few minutes before we got put on the ride because we was a party of two we seemed to keep getting put forward because there was spaces on the rides. This has always been a ride I have loved it reminds me of the first time I went to Disney and I still get jumpy when riding through Alien.

By the time The Great Movie Ride was over it was time to go on Toy Story Mania again this time using our fast pass this time Jonathan was determined to thrash me again and he did although I doubled my score so I'm happy I mean I don't spend my free time playing computer games. ;) To anyone who has not done this ride it is definitely worth doing and it is one of the only rides I would queue for.

We didn't have time to see both Beauty and the Beast or the Little Mermaid because of our dinner reservations and I knew Jonathan would want to do animation and One Man's Dream as he has a love of animation like me and I knew he wouldn't be to bothered about little Mermaid or Beauty and the Beast so I decided I would rather see Little Mermaid. So thats where we headed when we got there one showing had just gone in so to save us waiting we went into Animation. Where we was able to play about and see which Disney Character we would be I was Cinderella and after Jonathan kept messing about he ended up as Jafar hehe he really is Prince Charming. :lovestruc
I love the Animation tour when I was little it made me want to go into it as a career and I got tons of Disney animation books from the shop there so that I could learn to draw the characters. When we come out we got into the next Little Mermaid Show and sat down enjoying the air conditioning and the show we was one of the last in and ended up on the front row it wasn't as good as sitting further back because we could see the people with the puppets slightly as they moved from further back I have never seen this before. Jonathan liked it though which I was quite shocked about. After The Little Mermaid we had time to do One Man's Dream me and Jonathan both found it interesting and being my emotional self I cried during the film.

Finally it was nearly time for dinner we took pictures with our photopass in front of the hat and at the front of the park because it was quieter than before and then took pictures of each other outside Indiana Jones while we waited for our times.

After checking in at 50's Prime Time Cafe we had a 5 minute wait before being seated at our table which was literally the same table as another family. We soon got sent away by Papa to wash our hands(even though we already had) and I was starting to get scared as I heard everyone who hadn't eaten there veg get shouted at as I am a really fussy eater. For this reason I choose the pot roast while Jonathan had the Casserole. I was not keen on the pot roast as I just thought it was a really small portion and I did not like the garlic mash or green beans. Jonathan loved his though and Jonathan didn't think it was fair how I got away with leaving my veg when he had been being picked on earlier I said it was because he talked back to him, the girl next to us was like that and after she left her green beans had been made to stand in the corner I was shaking underneath the table thinking I would not have to do the same. After leaving me and Jonathan said how we would not eat there again because it was just not our style being how loud it was and how it made you feel pressured.

Are you doing MNSSHP? You should do it was probably my best time at Magic Kingdom. We both loved it I think its one thing that made Jonathan love disney so much we had the most fun just being like kids again. :cheer2:

Disney's Hollywood Studios ~ Final Part

On the way to fantasmic we stopped over at the Villains shop so that Jonathan could get his Jack Skeleton mug. We only had to wait a few minutes before they where letting people in to get fantasmic seats. We got good seats right in the middle section and decided to sit a few rows back from the front. We had about an hour and a half to wait before the show was to start so took a few pictures and talked about the day.

With about half an hour to go a really bad thunderstorm was circling to the east, and I kept thinking oh no the show is going to be cancelled. But it never came to close thankfully and the show began. I took a lot of pictures again some wasn't quite clear so ill post the better ones Jonathan also had pictures that where a lot better than mine.

We loved fantasmic its a must see for me every trip and Jonathan loved it too, we was now exhausted and made our way from the theatre to the carpark so that we could get back to the hotel and to bed, the trip to walmart would have to wait until tommorow because we was both knackered. The thunderstorm that had been circling when we was in the car on the way home and we took a wrong turn past the Boardwalk on our way home however within 10 minutes we was back at the hotel. We had a quick natter about the day and I kept asking Jonathan if he liked it so far but it was pretty much straight off to bed.

There day 2 is finally over with but day 3 or day 2(of parks) should be on its way shortly. And yay photopass pictures are here. I will put the HS up when I have had a look at the cd.

Day 3: Universal Studios

So today was an early start at 6:30 am getting a quick shower and change before heading down to breakfast toast and orange juice for me, and cereal, fruit and yogurt with an orange juice for Jonathan. We left the hotel at 8 expecting it to be a 20 minute or so drive but it only took us 10 minutes to get to our parking spot of 5th in the normal parking spaces. So we enjoyed a leisurly strole to the Universal Studio's Entrance where we took some pictures.

We managed to have our vouchures converted in 5 minutes and was then sat with about 10 others waiting to be let through the turnstiles. Once let in we headed for the Simpsons and was straight into the holding area. This ride is brilliant and is a must do for everyone who can manage with motion simulator rides as it is quite intense.
After the ride through smallville we headed to MIB which is right next door only to be told it was broken down ok no problem we would head over to do Jaws Disaster and the mummy before returning that way. Well we walked by and both Jaws and Disaster were not open until 11 although it never mentioned this in the guide map.
Oh well we made our way to mummy which was a walk on and we got straight into a ride car because we was only a 2. We both loved the mummy but was disapointed that the ride photo's where down. Oh well we headed off to twister and waited about 5 minutes before we got into the nicely cold twister affected rooms.
On exiting we decided to get a drink however all the drink/icecream carts had no one working at them and as we made our way to the one outside the mummy to get a drink there was a few cockroaches walking past our feet. Ewww we are not getting anything from there. We got one from outside Disaster and after discovering MIB was still not open and with an hour to spare decided to take some photos.

After taking photo's we sat in the shade outside the Animal show and had a nice relaxing drink before ET was to open. I went into the toilets and was disgusted at how filthy it was in there especially when I discovered the horrible dragonfly type insect that was hovering in my cubicle im not joking it was about the size of a bird, im suprised that I didn't scream and run outside making a scene. Once outside me and Jonathan talked about how much more we enjoyed Disney over Universal, Jonathan said except for the 2 rides he wasn't impressed with the place, people and atmosphere like he had been with Disney. Finally it got to 11 and we went on ET Jonathan commented on how he could see why I loved this ride as a kid. I was hungry at this point so we went to get Lunch at Mel's Drive In before the Animal show came on at 12. I had the chicken strips meal while Jonathan had the cheeseburger meal.

We sat down to watch the Animal show I wasn't as impressed with this as I have in other years the dog that they had doing tricks they only had him playing dead ok my dog can do that and well the monkey was no longer in the show. :mad: Jonathan thought it was ok though. An finally when the show had finished MIB was opened and the queue to get lockers was longer than the queue for the ride. We queued about 10 minutes from the ride and managed to get from about 12 back in the queue to gettin straight on again thanks to being a 2. I was really impressed that I beat Jonathan on this although he keeps coming up with excuses.
It was then time for Jaws and the squeeze breeze came in handy as we waited in the 20 minute queue to ride. Again being a 2 we managed to get into a boat a little bit quicker. I still kept jumping when he comes by the side of the boat early on in the ride which Jonathan found hillarious and kept saying how many times have you been on this. Disaster was a 30 minute queue and I didn't like what they had done with the new theming however the ride was still good and the video they show on the way back to the station is funny.
With this ride over we only had Shrek and terminator to do there was only a 10 minute wait for shreck so we jumped straight in the queue however once through the staging area's we sat in our seats only for the power to fail in that screening area after about 10 minutes of waiting and awful jokes they said we had to be moved into the second screening area. I like this 3D show it is very cool.

Once outside Shrek it was about 3:45 I was losing my patience especially in the heat, was tired and said to Jonathan lets just do terminator before we head back to relax get tea and have a nice swim in the pool. We got to terminator and was told the next showing was in an hour so decided to head straight back to the hotel calling in at Walmart on the way where I was horrified to discover didn't have any hair straightners. Oh well back to the hotel where we chilled out watching house before freshning up before we headed to the onsite Golden Corral for dinner.

Jonathan really liked this place like I always have and we both had quite a lot to eat. I took this picture of Jonathan with his desserts.

Once back at the hotel at the hotel we quickly got changed and headed down to the pool where we spent a few hours relaxing in the pool and Jacuzzi before heading up to bed for a shower and an early night.

Day 4: Typhoon Lagoon & Chef Mickey Limo Dinner

We woke up at around 8:30 am after being able to have a lie in because we planned today as our waterpark day. Once the bags where packed and we had got our suncream and everything on ready we got in the car and headed down the road to The Sizzler for breakfast buffet. After filling our stomach on lovely breakfast food we headed to Typhoon Lagoon and got a really good parking spot close to the entrance. We had arrived before it opened again and after being let through the turnstiles got our refillable mug and a waterproof camera and rented our locker while we waited for the ropes to be dropped for us to be let into the main park area. Once being let in we found our spot on the beach right next to the wave pool we went and had a quick jump in that before heading off to do the Lazy River. We spent most of our time in the Wave Pool and about 30 minutes relaxing on the beds before we had to leave the park at 1 as our limo was picking us up at 3 from the hotel. (We took photo's here but the camera needs to be developed yet).

After we made it back to the hotel it was time for a quick shower and to get a bit dressed up for our meal out. Once the limo arrived we was seated inside and had the limo to ourself for the first part of the ride and our own bottle of champagne. So I had my first alcohol in America actually before I was 21.

When we picked up the other family me and Jonathan was both horrified we had landed the family from hell and im not joking, but I wont go into that infact I was getting upset thinking my birthday meal out is ruined. The daughters were giving me evils the whole duration of the trip. Anyways so we are travelling along in the limo and im thinking ok we are heading towards downtown disney not the Contempory and so we pull up at DTD Westside and our given the intinery the DTD time is before the meal not afterwards on this me and Jonathan who had no lunch thinking Dinner was going to be early headed away on a boat to the marketplace as far away from the family from hell as we could. Once at the Marketplace we grabbed hotdogs before looking around the shops although we didnt buy anything this time as we knew we would have to carry them around. We took the boat back over to Westside as we didnt want to get hot and sticky in our clothes by walking back in the heat.

Back to the limo then for the ride over to the Contempory stuck again with the family from hell at this point I wasn't very happy about things and was praying for pixie dust.:wizard:

So we arrive at the contempory and the guy hands me a birthday badge and the place mat saying its your special day Virgin had told them how it was my birthday the next day and the company wanted to celebrate it with me that night. So the disney magic was beginning, and I was starting to grin and smirk at the family from hell's girls who's evils at me only got worse as I got called Princess Ariel. After we had the Chef Mickey photo taken we sat and waited for a while before we managed to get a seating. We got our food and enjoyed the characters who were great and giving me lots of attention with it being my birthday disney had started to give me the pixie dust I wanted which only increased as they brought me a cupcake out and sang the celebration song for me. :wizard:

I was beaming and litterally skipping our way down as me and Jonathan made it down the lift to the lobby to wait for the limo's to take us back to the hotel I didn't want to leave Disney and was now detemined to make it to a disney hotel stay on my next holiday. Day 5: Magic Kingdom Birthday! ~ Part 1

So I wake up bright and early at around 6 I had hardly slept being the fact I was now 21 was excited about getting my present off Jonathan and more so about the fact it would be our first day at Magic Kingdom.

So we did the usual of showering before Jonathan gave me my present a lovely matching Aquamarine and diamand ring that matched the necklace that he gave me when I had my party back at home.

After breakfast at the hotel we headed off to Magic Kingdom and managed to get a spot in Pluto, after parking the car in pluto we headed off on the tram to get to the TTC so we could get on our monarail to Magic Kingdom, despite wearing my badge we didnt get to ride upfront however we did get our own carridge on the monarail.

It wasn't long before we was at the Magic Kingdom and me and Jonathan hurried down the hill from the station because Mickey and the gang on the train where pulling up at the station to open the park.

Once inside we rushed off to frontier land straight over towards my favourate mountains fast passing thunder although it was a 5 minute queue and heading straight onto Splash. Jonathan was nervous about the drop especially because the queue wasn't long and we walked right onto splash into the front of the boat. I made Jonathan more apprehensive by winding him up saying the first drop was the big one while I happily sang along Zip...

Haha needless to say he loved it and we didnt get to wet just a little splash. An when we got out of Splash they announced Michael Phelps was in the park and going to be in a special homecoming parade at 10:30 brilliant every American will be over watching that so very short queues. Our fast pass time for thunder was 10 we had plenty of time to work with to get Pirates and Haunted Mansion done before any crowds. So off we went to Pirates of the Carribean and when the cast member saw my badge she gave us our own boat, it made the ride something else and it was quite romantic to be going around in your own little boat in the dark.

After Pirates was over we headed to haunted mansion which was also a walk on I love the new Haunted Mansion it made it great again especially as I knew the old one like the back of my hand. When we got off Haunted Mansion it was time for our fastpass so we headed back over to thundermountain and got staight on the ride. We was near the front so we had a fairly tame ride compared to what im used to as I usually always manage to get near the back. However Jonathan was loving Magic Kingdom and Disney in general so I was very happy.

We decided to get to Space Mountain before any queue's formed and took the train over to toontown where we then used the dis recommended quiet path over to Space.

When we got to space I was suprised that there was only a 5 minute wait. So we headed straight inside and found that their was actually no wait at all and we walked straight on. I was at the front and had the scariest ride ever and could hear Jonathan laughing as I screamed my head off it seemed a lot better than I remember it.

Straight off of Space Mountain we headed to Buzz lightyear and got straight on I got a lot of Happy Birthdays again from the ride attendants I got so many even from non castmembers. Jonathan thrashed me but we both agreed that compared to Toy Story Mania it was mediocre, and I used to love this ride. After Buzz we crossed over to Stitch and walked straight into the first room. Jonathan thought it was ok and I still prefer Alien Encounter although it scared the life out of me.

Wow it was not even 11 and we had done all of the really big rides I was starting to get hungry so we went over to Columbia Harbour house to grab lunch we decided to share a fish/chicken basket because they was so big and I was impressed how the fries had been replaced with proper chips. I was also very happy when the attendant at the counter saw my birthday badge wished me a happy birthday and gave me a free chocolate muffin dessert to the envy of Jonathan.

Well now it was time for fantasy land we headed over to Winnie the Pooh to get a fastpass before we went to ride the others, at Winnie the Pooh we got given not only a fastpass for that but dream phillarmagic passes brilliant we thought less queuing. So back over to its a smallworld which was about a 3 minute queue and again when the castmember saw my badge we got given our own boat I was so happy and excited and well as mentioned during this ride I went very snap happy. After its a small world it was time for our two fastpasses before going to ride them though we grabbed another fastpass for Peter Pan, then off we went to Mickeys Phillarmagic I never get tired of this show and we made it straight in Jonathan thought it was really good and we thought it was so cute how the little kids all try to grab everything and there was one little girl who was singing along to be our guest so cute. :)

Then it was off to ride Winnie the Pooh I love this ride its so much better than Mr Toad. Sorry Mr Toad. I took a few pictures in here although its harder to get good shots because of the motion I kept getting Jonathan's head.

After we had been on Winnie the pooh we decided to go on the Carousel as there was not any wait.

When we got off we still had half an hour before our fastpass time for Peter Pan so we went over to Dumbo which had the longest queue of the day. I hadn't been on this since I was little it gets some good views though.

After Dumbo it was Peter Pan time which also had a long queue which we wouldn't have queued up for but we had our fastpasses. I can't wait to take my kids on these fantasy land rides when we have them.

We decided to go over to Adventure land to do Jungle Cruise and Tiki Room we stopped on the way to have some photo's taken on our photopass.

After the photos we grabbed some water and headed to Jungle Cruise. Our guide was quite funny although we laughed a lot of the time at how lame his jokes was. I love this ride just for taking a cool of and relaxing.

Once done we got in the queue for Tiki Room because the next showing was in a few minutes. Agh Air Conditioning, I like this show I think its cute.

Haha and next disaster happens. Well being a hot day and because we had a lot of rides done we decided to get some icecream. So i had my Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar while Jonathan just had a strawberry Icelolly. Well what did I go and do but drop it all down my white shorts. So after finishing up my lolly we made a quick rush over to one of the adventure land stores and I found a pair of Billabong shorts which was good as I wanted a pair of board shorts anyway. This is why you will see that in the next pictures im wearing new shorts.

Anyways we had two hours to go before our reservation at Liberty Tree so we decided we would have a look round the shops on Main Street as I wanted some ears, an autograph book and a pen for our meal.

After we browsed Mainstreet shops we headed to Tommorowland to get a slush and go on the Tommorowland Transit Authority we stopped on the way to have photopass pics by the castle.

Right Jackie i am all caught up now :thumbsup2 .This has got to be the trip report with the MOST pictures in that i have ever read-fantstic-keep them coming :thumbsup2 .
Not a great start to Universal i must say,i can't believe how much went wrong,was'nt open etc..shame.We love Uni+IOA,but do agree about the different atmosphere,cleanliness compared to WDW.I know you should'nt compare the parks- i don't when it comes to other stuff,but do when it comes to what i mentioned.
Shame also about the family from hell in the Limo,glad you never let it spoil your time though.
I can never get enough of the Golden Coral.
So looking forward to more from you.x.

Thanks Snowy I never have in the past but just something about this time made me think unlike Disney I wouldn't be bothered about going every trip say if I was to go every year. I think its not just the politeness of staff but Universal I think gets a different crowd to Disney that isn't as family friendly and people not just young girls but some into their 60's were walking around IOA in bikini's and costumes, now I know you get soaked but its not a spanish beach or one of the waterparks for that mater.

Michelle I have always liked Universal before to me though it had changed from what it was before.

Day 5: Magic Kingdom ~ Part 3

After we had rode on the Tomorrow Land Transit Authority we headed back towards Liberty Square riding again on Haunted Mansion before we went to relax outside of the Liberty Tree for our Dinner reservation.
The cast members where very friendly especially when they saw it was my birthday about ten minutes after waiting our buzzer went off and as we got seated the lady sprinkled confetti on our table which I put in my bag after we had finished so that I could bring it home. :)

Right time to eat so I filled my plate with what was on offer and I can tell you it was a gorgeous meal one of the nicest ones we had it was nice to have a bit of roast dinner in America. It was really good as because it was my birthday and with my ears on I kept getting lots of attention from the characters. Goofy told Jonathan he had got a good catch and wrote his goowsh in my autograph book. I felt like a princess:

Once the cake was boxed up we decided to head back to the hotel it had been a long day and as we had the box we would watch the fireworks tomorrow because we was due back for Spectro Magic after our Grand Floridian photo shoot.

Day 6: Shopping, Grand Floridian Photo shoot & Magic Kingdom

Woke up bright and early as we planned to head for Kennedy Space Center went to Sizzler for breakfast buffet so that we could head out for the day on a full stomach. So we set off on the long drive down to Cape Canaveral going through all the tolls etc well when we get there the entrance is all closed off turns out they aren't open today the shuttle was due to launch that day as it had been put back because of Fay however we wasn't impressed as this wasn't shown anywhere until you got to the gates to enter. It was drizzling and we didn't have costumes so a day on the beach was out of question right lets head back to Orlando. By the time we got back it was after lunch so we headed to the Orlando Premium Outlets that where down the road from the hotel. I got a few things but Jonathan couldn't find anything. While we was there it really started to thunder I was thinking great we are booked in for our photo session and its really starting to get stormy.

Back at the hotel we got changed and headed out to Black Angus by the crossroads before we head over to the Grand Floridian. We both had steak and really enjoyed it. However I was really starting to get a tummy on me not good when we had the photo shoot a big dinner and the fact that I was due on the next day made me look pregnant. :sad2:

When we got to the Grand Floridian it had stopped raining we went over to the desk to tell them we had arrived and as we had time they told us to look around the resort. Me and Jonathan both absolutely loved it. We saw the lady that sits by the piano with all the teddies. The band was amazing and Jonathan was left saying that we will stay there one day. Hooray :cheer2:
We also saw a bride and bridesmaids come into the lobby hehe was this a sign did it know what I had on my mind in trying to get Jonathan into the idea.

During the last one the man was telling me to flash my rings then when we went back to the desk and he was getting our photo he put a were engaged banner up on it now I know he said it jokingly but when he said you can add this one on in future I kept thinking ok major signs here hehe. :goodvibes

Sadly we then had to leave Grand Floridian as we wanted to get to Magic Kingdom. As we had time before Spectro we went on Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean as well as having some photopass pictures done outside the castle.

Spectro Magic

There are lots of pictures so before I show them ill finish the story. After Spectro finished I was feeling hungry so we headed to Columbia Harbour House I got a chicken basket and we both got drinks. As we came out Wishes started as did the rain so we quickly put on our poncho's and headed for the castle. Thankfully the rain wasn't so hard yet. Once wishes had ended we went to leave and decided to get the ferry boat as we could get straight on that rather than wait for the monorail. Well as soon as we get off the monorail it starts to pour down. Probably the heaviest storm ive been in, it was mad I think it was the tail end of Hurricane Gustav. We quickly went for the tram and it was so bad that babies where screaming and all the adults that had brollies or coats where holding them up to shield all the babies and children. When we got to our stop the carpark was flooded I kept slipping as I was in my slip on shoes we was drenched when we got to the car and the weather was that bad we had to stay in the car with the heat on before the weather settled enough for it to be safe to drive. We was waiting about 30 minutes before it started to ease a little so that we could drive back safely.

It was gorgeous, and all freshly done it wouldn't fit in the hotel fridge though and they was large so the buttercream ended up going off. I think we had to through about half of it away.

Day 7: Animal Kingdom

Well today we woke up early and had a quick breakfast at the hotel before we headed off to Animal Kingdom. Once we got to Animal Kingdom we went straight over to Expedition Everest to get fast passes and then went over to Africa to go on Kilimanjaro Safaris.

We saw a few animals out and about and got to see a baby giraffe and elephant quite up close but other than that not many animals where about. :sad1: Once we had finished on the Safari we still had about half an hour before our fast passes to everest so because the queue for the rapids was only 5 minutes we went and literally walked right on. I was quite surprised when we both came off only slightly damp.

We had a quick drink and looked at the Monkeys before heading off to Everest to use our fast pass. Jonathan was quite worried about this one like I had been the first time I rode it, but once the ride was going he absolutely loved it and I was screaming my head off all the way round. Another good thing was we had managed to dry off while riding Everest so we didn't have to walk around damp.

We walked from Everest over to Dinoland grabbing a fast pass for Dinosaur before getting lunch at Dinosaurus I had a hot dog meal and Jonathan had a burger meal. After lunch we headed over to Dinoland and it was the first time I managed to keep my eyes open the whole way round usually being a scardie cat they are kept shut for most of the way. After Dinosaur we went on Primeevil Whirl and absolutely loved it I hadn't been on this before so it was a first for both of us we kept thinking we was going to go over the edge.

We decided that next we would head over to the Lion King show I can never get enough of this one, Jonathan liked this one as well especially the Tumble monkeys my favorite is Can You Feel The Love Tonight.

After The Lion King it was time for Its Tough to be a Bug, then we would head over to Asia grab a fast pass for the Rapids before going to look around the Africa and Asia trails and going on the train to Rafiki's planet watch. We got absolutely soaked the second time on the Rapids and we both had to go and attempt to dry off a little at the hand dryers as it was nearly time for our reservations I actually thought about getting us both t shirts and the combat trouser things you see at the stalls.

Well what can I say about Rainforest Cafe we absolutely loved it the food was amazing as was Jonathan's Smoothie and my multi flavour Icee I think Jonathan had some tuna dish while I had steak, we both thought about getting a Volcano but decided against it as we was both full from our meal.

Back at the hotel we did think about going out to DTD afterwards however when we got in Jonathan litterally callapsed on the bed and fell asleep I was quite worried about him as he had quite a high temperature and was completly out of it, I kept waking up because I was worried so was checking he was awake and spent quite a bit of the night watching films and House on the tv.

Jonathan took those his camera is really good and lets you zoom right in. He loved Animal Kingdom he was born in South Africa so it was like a second home to him seeing them all. An he is letting me plan for our next trip although I had already started hehe.

Day 8: Blizzard Beach & Downtown Disney

We woke up at around 8 I hadn't set an alarm with Jonathan being ill all night I thought we should rest rather than do Sea World on this day like planned so we headed to Blizzard Beach and had breakfast at the hotel before we left.

After we got to Blizzard Beach we got our spot on the beach by the wave pool and headed straight over to Lazy River. Which was empty which was nice. We went round once and then headed up to the Teamboat Springs. I love the view from the top and I love this ride it really feels like your going to fly over the edge. We then headed back to the beds and filled up our refill mugs and had a lie down on the sunbeds for a while before going in the wave pool.

We headed off for lunch at around 11:30 I had the hot dog meal and Jonathan had a panini meal I think. We spent most of the afternoon lounging on the beds, in the wave pool and on the Lazy River and we left around 4.

Later on in the evening we had tea at Golden Corral I loved having this restraunt on property as it had always been a family favorite. We then headed off to Downtown Disney to look around the shops and go to Disney Quest. We really liked Disney Quest we did quite a few of the games and loved the Buzz Lightyear game and the virtual reality stuff although we was rubbish at the Jungle Cruise raft.

Day 9: Sea World & Islands of Adventure

Well today we went to Sea World and got there just after the park opened at 9. The first thing we did was look at the Dolphin Nursery before heading on over to the dolphin viewing area, the stingrays and the Manatee's. After this we went in to see the Clyde and Seymore show which we both liked I thought it was very fun. We then went and got drinks before heading over to Blue Horizons.

After Blue Horizons we went to see the sharks and the penguins before grabbing lunch and heading off to see Shamu.

We had then done everything Sea World had to offer and thought as we had two hours left before Universal shut that we may as well head off over there.

When we got to Islands of Adventure it was very quiet and every ride was walk on. We went on Spiderman twice, and got absolutely drenched on Popeye, Ripsaw Falls and Jurassic Park.

We ended up having Mcdonalds that night because we had headed off to Magic Mining Co after getting changed and dried only to find out that it had now become a Cici's Pizza now I know people like those but i was devastated one I don't like Pizza and two that restraunt has been there every time the family visited and had always been a tradition for us we liked it because it was a nice family run restraunt that wasn't part of a chain. :sad2:

Great days again.We also love Golden Coral-always visited when i went with my Nan+Grandad and for some strange reason Grandad would always call it 'The Golden Nugget' :confused3 .He still calls it that now :laughing: when i speak about our upcoming holiday.

I like Seaworld and the amount of times i have been i have never seen the Horses,it is something i am determined to do next year so the girls can see them,as they love horses.x.

Thanks you two. In regards to Sea World we loved the shows but both of us thought that some of the enclosures where really small for the amount of animals in there its weird as I haven't really felt bad about those before it was mainly the Wild Artic one and for the first time the Polar Bear looked in very bad condition he was filthy and looked like he hadn't been kept well and they had hardly any real snow in there for him which I thought wasn't nice. We both thought that except for the shows we wouldn't go again until we have children.

oh my god i feel for you i really do if i had a frog on my ring i would have cried i am petrified of them i got in our villa pool las year and relised there was in there i was so scared lol

Oh he is converted and like me wants to Stay in the Grand Floridian on our next trip so we are saving for 2010. Thanks for the comments guys and on with the trip report.

Day 10: Epcot

Today was Epcot day as well as being our anniversary we had some breakfast at the hotel before heading out for Epcot to get to the park for opening. We got to Epcot just after 9 and headed straight for Test Track as I wanted to get the big one's out of the way with before queue's formed.
We got in test track and got straight through there was no queue's at all which I was pleased about as I love this ride, and Jonathan loved it to so we was happy that they said to us we could stay in our car and ride again because there was no queue.

After we came off we headed over to the Land Pavillion and got fast passes for Soaring before going to Spaceship Earth. No Queue at all so we was straight on the ride. I was always a fan of Spaceship Earth but we loved the interactive bit at the end and had so much fun doing lots of different shows over the various times we went on during the two days we visited. After we exited Spaceship earth we went to get photopass images from infront of Spaceship Earth.

We then headed up to Imagination and went on Figment and Honey I Shrunk the Audience before we went back over to Land to ride Soarin It was the first time I had been on it in Disney World although went on it in California when I was younger, and we both absolutely loved it. We then got on the boat to go and look round the Land. After we had done this we went on Nemo and then spent a lot of time looking around the sea's.

By now I had built up an appetite so headed to the Electric Umbrella where I got a chicken meal why Jonathan decided he would have something from World Showcase which is where we was headed next. Jonathan ended up having lunch in Japan although I can't remember what he had. We enjoyed our nice stroll around World Showcase until I came down with heatstroke and felt sick to my stomach so we ended up calling it a day for the afternoon and I was worried sick about not being able to go for our dinner reservation for our anniversary.

Luckily after a few hours rest back at the hotel I was felling better and so we made our way back to Epcot at about 6. We went on Spaceship Earth twice so that we could do different stories and took a few pictures of our future selves.

We then went to the Rose and Crown and checked in for our dinner. I had the Steak and Fish while Jonathan had a stew. I also enjoyed my first glowtini.

We didn't get any photo's of Illuminations as we was eating our ice cream while watching. We had an ok view but we was blocked by the canopy slightly.

Neither did my bf he didn't drink except when we went to Chef Mickeys in the limo as he was driving, so next time we are staying onsite. We don't drink a lot but it would be nice for him to enjoy a drink with his meal. Thank you guys.

Day 11: Epcot

Not any photo's from today as we did Epcot again as because I was ill we didn't get to have a proper look around World Showcase. We got there for around 9:30 and did Soarin, Test Track, Spaceship Earth and the Land ride. When World Showcase opened we walked round starting at the Morocco end this time. We both love all the world showcase shops especially Japan and Germany. When we got to the UK we grabbed fish and chips and sat in as much shade as we could get because it was boiling. We was then a bit fed up with Epcot and feeling a bit exhausted so decided we would take the rest of the day to rest at the hotel.

Back at the hotel for around 2 we lounged by the pool for a few hours. In the Evening we was tired from the last 3 long days of Epcot, Sea World & Islands of Adventure so grabbed hotdogs and curly fries from the hotel foodcourt before relaxing back in the hotel room. Hoping to do Aquatica the next day before Mickey's not so Scary Halloween Party.

Day 12:Shopping & MNSSHP

Well today we planned on going to Aquatica before going to MNSSHP however it was raining so we headed out to the malls for a last stroll around them to look for clothes as well as souvenirs before heading home. We had dinner at Golden Corral before heading off to MNSSHP at the Magic Kingdom.

We got there just before 7 and was amazed at how close we got to park to the TTC. When we got to the park everyone else who didn't have to be there where leaving it felt really strange seeing more leaving than coming in when it wasn't the park closing at the end of the day. (I have lots of pictures so ill post these all at the end.

When we got to the castle we stopped and watched the end of the Year of A Million Dreams show and I kept telling Jonathan to snap Aurora and Prince Phillip as you never get to see them two. After that had finished we headed over to Splash and walked straight through to the front of the queue no one else was on it and we got our own boat yay! So we was singing our way through Splash Mountain no one on any of the boats behind us or infront and as we get on the ramp to take us down into the Laughing Place it breaks down and we have to listen to bees over and over for about 30 minutes. And we was missing our party and candy. :( Finally it started again and we could finish our ride. When we got off it was nearly time for the first parade. So we went on Thunder quickly as there was no queue I love Thunder and Splash when its dark.

When we got off Thunder we went and watched the Parade after our first Candy Stop near the Tom Sawyer rafts. We barely managed to snap a picture of the headless horseman but I got loads of the parade. I loved this parade it is probably my favorite we was loving our first magic kingdom party. We went and got some more Candy down by the riverboat where a scary man was walking the boat and a coffin lay in rest and then from the Hall of Presidents we was building quite a collection now. We then headed over to the castle for the show and then Hallowishes. I liked the Villans show but I wouldn't neccessary watch it again without kids with me but well as for the fireworks I loved them. I love wishes and I thought Hallowishes was even better, again I snapped away with my camera. After the fireworks we headed over to Tommorowland and did the candy stops as well as rode Space with no queue and Buzz.

We also stopped and did the mad hatter party sweet trail before heading back through Fantasy land where I stopped for pictures with Eeyore and Pooh before we went over to Haunted Mansion for our first ride of the night, when we came out we had pictures at the carridge before heading over to Adventure land, we did the candy stops here and then rode Pirates we both loved all the smog that they had around the Pirates entrance with the lighting affect it looked really good. We went on Jungle Cruise as we still had plenty of time left then we headed back to Winnie the Pooh to see if Tigger and Piglet was there before they finished for the night. I got in line for Tigger and Piglet and then we did more candy stops before heading back to Haunted Mansion to do it again so that we could be on it at Midnight hour.

Day 13: Magic Kingdom
Our last full day at Disney before we had to leave for home. :( We head out first thing as we have a breakfast reservation for 8 at Crystal Palace the first time I was having a meal at Crystal Palace. It felt great to get to go through to the park when it was empty because of our reservation. It was empty when we got there but we didn’t have time to take pictures by the castle while it was empty because we had to rush for our reservation time. We waited about 2 minutes by Crystal Palace until we got called in.
What can I say about Crystal Palace I absolutely loved it. The best thing about the place is the character interaction and add this to its choice in breakfast foods which was delicious and you have the perfect combination. I will definitely be booking this place again for our future trips. When we had finished it was just after 9 so the park had opened but was still quiet we headed straight over to Frontierland like usual and we went on Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain as well as grabbing a fast pass for Splash. We then went on Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion before going over to Tomorrow land and walking on Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, Carousel of Progress and Stitch. We had done all our must have’s and it was only 11. Our fastpass time for Splash was coming to an end so we went to go to that grabbing fastpasses for the Winnie the Pooh adventure on our way and again getting a bonus fastpass for Phillarmagic. So we went on Splash again and the fastpass times where literally 20minutes before the actual time for both Splash and Thunder that we got to take advantage of this all day as you will find later. After Splash we went on Thunder before going for Lunch at Cosmic Rays before using our fast passes for Pooh and Phillarmagic.
We went on Haunted Mansion again before heading over to Frontierland where we got a Splash fastpass and Thunder fastpass because of the time’s on them being so close that we could get as many fastpasses as we wanted. So we went over to Tom Sawyers Island and had a wonder and a relax in the shade because it was sweltering before we headed back to ride Splash and Thunder which we kept doing repeatedly and did a total of 5 times Thunder Mountain, and 6 times Splash in the course of the day. We did Pirates again and Jungle Cruise before we went to ride Splash for the last time on our holiday.  We was pretty tired by this time despite it only being 5. So we headed back to the hotel stopping at Black Angus and having a nice meal before we went back to the hotel to finish the packing. We did think about going back for the fireworks at one of the parks but we was to exhausted to be bothered with driving back. If we had been at a resort we probably would of gone back to watch one of the fireworks. So sadly we headed back to sleep knowing that we would have to leave tomorrow and not wanting to go back home.

Thanks Michelle yeah I was saying to Jonathan earlier its making me depressed I want a new ticker and to start a pre-trippie he said but we haven't got anything booked I told him I know but I can plan for 2010. :) I already told him I want to go back then I have never had a gap longer than 2 years and its 50 years of florida Magic Kingdom so got to go. :wizard:

Day 14: Downtown Disney & Trip Home :(

So we woke up at around 7 as we had done most of our packing, we showered and got changed before heading to breakfast and then back up to the room to get the final things in the bags ready to go home. :( It was about 9 am when we went down to check out at the front desk, which was done very quickly. We then went to the car and drove to downtown disney to check in our bags etc at the Virgin desks. No one was there and we had done everything within 5 minutes most of the time was spent filling in the questionnaire. So we had a while to wait until everything started to open. So we just sat and looked around Downtown Disney it was very hot already we went in Disney Quest for a while when it opened it was more enjoyable this time as it was quieter but I was getting really down about having to go home. We went over to Mcdonalds and had lunch before we got in the car to drive up to the airport we had a lot of time before our flight but it was to hot to stay out in the sun so we thought atleast if we got everything done at the airport we could have a look around the shops.

The flight home was on time but it was an awful flight the turbulance was really bad, Jonathan got no sleep and I hardly got a wink, we was on a back row of the block at the wing but the air hostess had her seat behind ours so we couldnt recline them. I started looking to go again as soon as we got back in England where we was both freezing.
