December/Mousefest PTR

Alright I have finally decided to write down my plans for my December trip. This past January I was trying to figure out when I wanted to go again this year. My plans have been go this year and then wait to finally take a cruise in 2010. So after much research I finally combined my favorite season with something I've always wanted to do. That is how the December/Mousefest PTR came about.

Trip Dates: 12/10 - 12/15/08

Cast of Character:

Dania(me)- 35 years old at time of trip. Full time child care provider. I also work partime at a local retail shop on the weekends. I love all things Disney but espically anything related to Chip & Dale. I have done the Disney College Program twice, 2002 and 2005. Since 2001 I have been 7 times and before that it was only 3 day trips. I have vowed never to go more than a two years between trips ever again.

Now why did I choose december besides Mousefest? I LOVE the holiday decorations. It is my favorite time of year and the weather is just wonderful. I also love the Candlelight Processional, it is my one must see of the trip.

Now to the day to day breakdown. This will not include my very busy mousefest schedule as that is still being fine tuned. I am also including my places I am eating.

12/10 Arrival Day no parks
Trails End Buffet for dinner

12/11 MK
breakfast is Chef Mickey's but that is possibly changing
dinner is LTT but this may change due to it being after MVMCP starts

12/12 AK/DHS
breakfast is with Donald @ Tusker House
dinner is Prime time 50's cafe

12/13 Epcot/MegaMouse Meet
breakfast ?????
dinner at Yorkshire county fish and chips at the UK pavillion
Illuminations desert party

12/14 MK/Epcot
breakfast Crystal Palace
diner Biergarten with the Candlelight Processional package!

12/15 DHS/depart
breakfast somewhere at POFQ

I also have a ticket for MVMCP on 12/11 and that is why that day's eateries may change.

Resorts

Well at first I was only staying at Pop Century for the entire trip. Then when I began working full time instead of part time I had more money. I debated several things before finally deciding to upgrade to a moderate. Here are my plans thus far:

Pop Century on 12/10. I got a room only rate here since I will not be needing a park ticket this day. I LOVE Pop and it's hard for me not to stay here the whole time. I decided though this might be my only chance to try a moderate so I jumped at the chance.

Port Orleans French Quarter 12/11 - 12/15. I will have my bags transferred here on 12/11 but won't see my room til after MVMCP that night. This will be my very first moderate stay and I am excited. I had first wanted CBR to try out their new rooms but there was no availability. So this was my second choice and I am very happy with it.
