Hope everything is okay. :lovestruc I wanted to check on you since we haven't seen you for a while.
Also, I wanted to see if you had a delivery confirmation number for my surprise swap package since it hasn't gotten here yet. I know Tinker doesn't have hers either in case you need to go rattle the cage at the PO.

A little over a month ago I started noticing this small inflammation and sore, which has grown . I didn't think anything of it. but over the course of the month it has gotten worse, infected and just sore. I wasn't concerned to much until I noticed that it is actually a hole. So at the nagging of my daughter I called and talked to the doctor.
The think I was bitten by a brown recluse spider. So tomorrow I have to go in and they are going to slice the wound open and cut out the venom sack that appears to have been left behind because it has formed a lump. If that is what it actually is. If there is no venom sack then they are going to do a biopsy.

Right now I'm just worried..lol.. I am a big chicken when it comes to anything involving pain. I know it's going to feel better after they "fix" it. I don't feel all that bad I just ache.
I will be glad when the summer is officially over it's been a a doosie..lol..

EWW, never ever go to google to find information:
It is estimated that 80% of reported brown recluse bites may be misdiagnosed. The misdiagnosis of a wound as a brown recluse bite could delay proper treatment of serious diseases.[3] There is now a ELISA-based test for brown recluse venom that can determine if a wound is a brown recluse bite, although it is not commercially available and not in routine use.[24][3]
There are numerous documented infectious and noninfectious conditions (including pyoderma gangrenosum, bacterial infections by Staphylococcus and Streptococcus, herpes, diabetic ulcer, fungal infections, chemical burns, toxicodendron dermatitis, squamous cell carcinoma, localized vasculitis, syphilis, toxic epidermal necrolysis, sporotrichosis, and Lyme disease) that produce wounds that have been initially misdiagnosed as recluse bites by medical professionals; many of these conditions are far more common and more likely to be the source of mysterious necrotic wounds, even in areas where recluses actually occur.[3]
Reported cases of bites occur primarily in Arkansas, Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, and Oklahoma. There have been many reports of brown recluse bites in California (and elsewhere outside the range of the brown recluse); however the brown recluse is not found in California[25] (though a few related species may be found there, none of which has been shown to bite humans). To date, the reports of bites from areas outside of the spider's native range have been either unverified, or - if verified - specimens moved by travelers or commerce. Gertsch and Ennik (1983) report that occasional spiders have been intercepted in various locations where they have no known established populations; Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Maine, Minnesota, New Jersey, Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Wyoming and Tamaulipas (Mexico),[26] which indicates that these spiders may indeed be transported fairly easily, though the lack of established populations well outside the natural range also indicates that such movement does not lead to colonization of new areas.
Make sure you tell us what the doctor says.

With the curse being so bad, did you want me to host the Surprise Swap for you? I don't mind. We are in a holding pattern on the basement and school is good and sports will be done in the middle of October. I'll have time to do it.

I am home from my appointment all is well:) The doctor looked at it and she said that it is indeed some sort of insect bite, but she does not know what kind and that it is infected so she drained it, cleaned it and put me on antibiotics :)
I am so glad it wasn't the other spider!

 You still need to keep an eye on it. If it has been infected this long, it could be staph. I don't want you to have that. Did your doctor test for that? If those antibotics don't show improvement in a few days, go back and make her take a sample for testing.
