Lights, Christmas tree's and FAKE snow nowhere else but Disney! New 1.22!

"Oh the weather outside is frightful and snow is so delightful"...ummmmm NOT!!!! I hate the snow but love the holiday decorations...That's why I'm picking up and going back to Disney World! Ok that's not the only reason I'm going...I simply can't wait to see my favorite place in the whole world all decked out for the holidays! Yup it's just going to be me on this trip.
21 years old, lover of all things Disney and veteran solo trip taker. I recently came back from a 10 day trip to Disney World and Disney Cruise to celebrate my 21st birthday. Like I said I love all things Disney and my favorite characters are Tinkerbell, Stitch and Belle. My family and friends support all my trips but they just don't get the magic. You can't explain that feeling you get when you walk down main street for the first time during your trip or the feeling Tinkerbell flies over your head during wishes. I went to Disney World for the first time when I was 5 and I've been hooked ever since. There is just something about walking down Main St and seeing Cinderella's castle that brings back the the memories of when I was little.

I've always wanted to head down during the holidays but my job just would never allow since nov and dec are blacked out. This year I asked my boss plenty of time ahead just to see what she would say and she actually approved my vacation! I was in complete shock. I figured I better book the plane tickets before she changed her mind.

The dates are set, plane tickets purchased, resort room reserved, annual pass renewed and I'm ready to go! Please join me in this pre-trip report planning the most magical holiday trip a 21 year old girl could imagine!

Like I said the dates are set: Nov 13-18 and the count down is on!

Wohooooo so yesterday was officially 2 months till my trip!!!

So I figure now is a good time to let you guys in on the details of the trip.

Let's see it's a 6 day, 5 night trip and I will be staying at Pop Century. I wanted to try All Star Movies but I thought about it the fact that Pop has it's own bus system out weighed.

Also this is a buget trip. I got the flight for free since I had enough credits on Soutwest rapid rewards. There will also be no dining reservations on this trip. I'm looking forward to trying some new counter service places!

Now here is the big thing...as many of you know from reading my other TR's each day is planned to a "T". Well not this time!!! I'm going to try "lets go with the flow" kind of trip. The only thing that is planned is Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on the 16th. Which I still needs to get my ticket! I'm excited to try this kind of trip because I feel like my whole life (not just my trips) are always so planned that it will be nice for 6 days to just relax. We will see how long that lasts though. Hopefully I don't break 3 days before and make a schedule. :lmao:

So those are the details. I'm so excited for this trip to finally see the Christmas lights!!! :wizard: LESS THAN 2 MONTHS TO GO!!!

"Go with the flow" trips are always good. Heck, that's pretty much what we do all the time. :) We have a couple traditions we stick to (like going to the MK our first morning) but other than that we usually don't even decide which park we're going to until the night before!

Your trip sounds very similiar to ours, we are on a budget too, and are only making like one dining reservation. Very go w/the flow, eating at CS, and only 2-3 park days. I can't wait to read about some of the places you go, since we'll be doing mostly CS too. And I can't WAIT to hear what you think about all the decorations and stuff. It's amazing. And the Christmas Party...I think we may do that too, not totally decided.

YAY! You're not planning! Good for you. Sometimes it's fun to not have everything planned, sometimes it is! I was going to try for a totally planned trip, but I just can't seem to do it. I can't even decide which park to visit when. I know I am doing CP on the 11th, and MVMCP on the 9th, and other than that, I have no idea! I have one meal booked at the Rose and Crown for the CP package, and then I'm going to have a list of CS restaurants that I would like to try, and snack places.

I know what you mean about the Pop... it's like there is an elastic pulling you back to Pop each time! I wanted to try another resort, but Pop just feels like home, it would be weird to be at WDW and not stay at Pop. I would love to stay everywhere but I don't know if that will ever happen when I just love Pop.

Yea the MK seems to be my last park before the flight home on my last day. It's kind of an un-official tradition. So I'm sure thats where I'll end up on that day... but we will have to see!

A budget trip is better than no trip in my opinion so thats why I'm going. Plus I think my boss wasn't all there when I asked her to go on vaca in Nov. So I better go just incase next year she comes to her senses and says no.

I so feel the same way as you. Pop is like my home away from home. Maybe thats why I felt so out of place at CBR in May. :upsidedow I don't care though if I ever have enough money to stay at the Poly I'm so gonna stay there! Other than that (or any of the other deluxe resorts) I don't think I would pay extra to stay any other place.

I totally had Disney on the brain! I guess sometimes (especially when it comes to Disney) I get really excitable, and I must have really gone overboard on the excited side of me... you were frightened that I was too hyper or something. On my first trip, even after being delayed by at least 12 hours and having to overnight in Boston on the way, I was doing little hops in the line of DME. Not quite a skip, but take a few steps and then jump up and then a few steps and a jump. :rotfl: And I was solo! The people ahead of me in the line got a bick kick out of it!

Hey guys!!! I haven't forgotten about this TR it's just this "no-plan" thing has left me with nothing to write. :confused3 I guess I will have to just find something!!!

I've been watching a lot of youtube Disney videos i'm missing my happy place and I decided to show you some of the ones I've been checking out. In case you have the missing Disney blues too! (*These are NOT my videos just ones that others have posted on youtube*)

Here is one from the last performance of 4 for a Dollar this week. If you never saw them they were great! They would be the warm up act for the Beauty and the Beast stage show. I'm so bummed I wont be able to catch them again.

This next one is of the stage show and lighting the lights on Cinderella castle. I'm so excited to see this show in November. The castle is just beautiful and from what I've read pictures don't do it justice.

And this is the thing I was most excited about. The Osborne Family Lights! Well after doing some research on the Dis...word on the boards is that they wont be showing this till AFTER Thanksgiving! UGH! I miss it by a week! I'm really hoping that they show it early and somehow I can catch it. The whole thing looks fantastic!!! I can't tell you how upset I am that I will be missing this.

Speaking of the Osborne lights another thing that I've read wont be starting is the Christmas tree lighting at Epcot. I really hope all the decorations are up at least at the resorts and at the parks. I mean they are doing MVMCP so they could at least do everything else. I hope the info on the Dis is wrong or I miss read it.

Ohhhh and I know WDWgirl03 already knows about this (since I was reading about it in her PTR) but did you guys hear about the promotion next year about what will you celebrate? You get in free on your birthday! And if you have an AP they will give you a Birthday fun card (gift card) to spend instead since you already have the pass. I can't think of a better way to spend a birthday then at WDW. Can you? It's not like I need another draw to go down there but that sounds awesome to me! Ohhh and I saw the new WDW commercial last night when I was watching Dancing with the stars and it's so cute!!! I think this new theme is really cute!

It did seem like forever away and now both our trips are just around the corner.

Flights are a bit pricey but I'm hoping for a seat sale!
It did seem like forever away and now both our trips are just around the corner.
We'll have to compare notes about the not planning everything difference (I don't know where I'm going to be when :scared1: or where I'm eating) I'm looking forward to going with the flow.

Alright guys so I've still been surfing youtube and I found this awesome video that I thought you guys might really like. It's from google earth and what it is is a virtual walk through of the MK! I just had a crazy idea... My new job only starts Nov. 24th (Unless the teacher I'm replacing goes into labour early!) I'm thinking about trying to get a trip in around the week before. The biggest problem is the flights, over $1200 out of the Charlottetown airport! :scared1: Mom would so kill me, but I'm thinking with the room discount I should be able to get, I might be able to get an okay deal on a room.... And maybe we could have a mini meet! This is so preliminary and it just totally crossed my mind on my drive home from the school I was at today! What do you thinK? (Of course, I am asking a fellow Disney Freak! :rotfl2: )

Just 28 days to go! I can't believe it's mid October let alone my trip being so close. Let me see if I can give you a mini update...

I finally (yes finally) ordered my MVMCP ticket for the 16th. I'm so excited to go to the party. I was reading one of the MVMCP tip threads and the party sounds even more festive and exciting than I had thought. Between the lights on the castle, the snow, characters all decked out for Christmas. It should be a blast!

I'm also looking forward to the new High School musical pep rally at MGM (ehh DHS). Did I mention I'm so excited for the new movie next friday! :woohoo: Anyway I love the last 2 pep rally's so I'm sure I will love this one too. The music is so catchy and the performing CM's are great! I believe it's set to debut the same day as the movie release (Oct 24) so I'll be just in time to catch it!

I think this weekend I'm going to start packing. Usually by this time I've packed and repacked about 3 times. So it's about time I get on that! :rotfl: Thanks to Disneyfreak06 for this awesome website (www.wunderground.com). The weather should be nice. It says on average November is high of 74 with a low of 60. That will be a lot nicer than the weather here at home thats for sure!

25 more days to go! I started packing today and man does it feel good. It's freezing here and just knowing that in less than a month will be in warmer weather excites me.

I also went out to the bookstore last weekend to pick up a book my hairdresser was raving about. Has anyone read the twilight books? It's not something that I would normally read about but everyone I've talked to about the series LOVES it! I figure I will keep it for the plane ride down and back to FL but from everyones reviews It's taking me a lot not to read the first one now. :rotfl:

It's been a pretty relaxing weekend. I'm going to head out for a drive and check out the foliage. We have some beautiful color on the trees this year I just wish it would warm up a bit. Hope you all are enjoying your weekend!

Yay Twilight! They are incredible! My DN told me I should read them, so I did, and loved them so much I finished the books within about a week. Then I had to wait for the newest one and took him to the Midnight Madness party at the bookstore. I had my picture taken with people they hired to look like characters from the book! :rotfl:

18 days left! Officially in the teens now!

I ended up going to Target the other night to do some Disney shopping. Well more like looking just to see if something jumped out at me. I didn't really see too much but I ended up picking up a bag of Dove chocolates for the plane ride down and back and the HSM3 Soundtrack! Now I haven't seen the movie yet but I love the soundtrack. I've listened to it all day today! :rotfl:
I'm really excited to see the updated HSM pep rally at MGM. Hopefully they have a good mix of the old and new songs!

I still need to make a packing list. It's so much easier to pack when you can put things in your suitcase and check them off a list. My last trip I ended up forgetting my cell phone charger! Not good when you have to call home to check in every once in a while. :headache:

Thats pretty much it for now. I'm getting so excited can't believe its 18 days away!

I am such a dork, the graduation mix of We're All In This Together made me cry. :sad1: At the movie it was really funny because the girls behind us obviously got the soundtrack too and when they did The Boys Are Back they said they hated the song but afterwards they were saying it was so awesome...I'm not going to give away what happens but that scene in the movie is pretty sweet. :thumbsup2

11 more days to go! :cheer2: That's all folks were getting down to the wire now. I've made up my packing list and checked it over and over. Most everything is packed anyway (well except things that I need now). I do need to get to the book store since I did end up reading the Twilight book. :headache: Let me just say.....I LOVED it!!! I'm going to wait till the last minute to pick up the second one though because if I get it now I will end up reading it now. :rolleyes:

I don't have too much to do between now and the 13th but wait. But as I do before everytrip I try and watch a Disney movie every night up untill I leave once I get to the 7 day mark. So thats something to build even more excitement...not that I need it! :lmao:

Also I've been reading some posts on the dis saying that some of the Christmas decorations are going up already! :dance3: Heres to hoping that I get to see everything all decked out in it's Christmas glory!!!!

6 days....I can't even really believe it. Tonights countdown movie: The little Mermaid. :goodvibes Love love love this movie! I have fond memories of watching this at my grandparents house when I was younger.

I've been working on making a playlist for my i-pod for the plane trip down (and back). I have a wide aray of music on there including some Disney favorites:
Finding Nemo the musical (can't wait to see this again at AK)
Some park music
Various songs from HSM
Jonas Brothers
+ others
I'm also looking forward to getting Taylor Swift's album on Tues when it comes out! I've had her song "Love story" stuck in my head for days now. Very excited for her album! Good thing it comes out before I leave.

I need to finish packing this weekend since Mon-Wed will be pretty busy. So this weekend will be the only time I really have some time to do that.

I actually just got home from a trip to Lowes to get some window decoratons. This seems to be a big thing at Pop century with people decorating the windows with celebrations or the holidays. I picked up some really cute snowflake window clings, snowflake garlin and white Christmas lights. I'm also going to print out some Disney characters to put on. I'm thinking its going to look really cute!

I also stopped and picked up New Moon (the next in the Twilight series) and hopefully I can stop myself from reading it till I'm on the plane to MCO.

Now on to the movie countdown...

Tonights feature movie is: Ratatouille! I just love this movie so cute and creative. I also went to Paris last year and just watching ratatouille brings back all the great memories of the city. Remy is so sweet and you almost forget hes a rat!

Some other exciting news I can finally say I'm done packing! :woohoo: All my clothes are packed away and all I need to pack the morning of is my tooth brush, paste and cell charger. It's such a good feeling to be done and know your trip is so so so close.

Now on to tonights feature presentation. Aladdin! Now this is another one of my childhood favorites! Kind of on a side note does anyone else think of the WDW Full House epsiode when they think of Aladdin? I know the guy who played Steve was the voice of Aladdin but when I was little I always thought "Steve" really WAS Aladdin. Anytime I'm at the GF and see the piano I can't help but think "Thats the piano Uncle Jesse played" or "Thats where DJ saw Steve checking in". Cheezy I know! :rotfl:

Anyway back to Aladdin. Pretty much my all time favorite and the music is great...so thats my movie choice for tonight. :wizard:

2 days!!! I'm so excited and as I'm typing this the Disney World Birthday commercial is on the TV! As of 4:00 tomorrow I will be on vacation!

Tomorrow I have to make sure that I print my boarding pass in the morning and then at night go through my suitcase again to make sure I have EVERYTHING. I also have to pack a day bag for Thursday. Since I'm coming from NH and the weather has been freezing I'm not going to the airport in capris and flip flops. :rotfl: Wayyyyy too cold for that. Other than that I'm pretty much ready to go!!!

So as for tonights movie selection I picked a Goofy Movie. Hopefully I can run into Max and Goofy while I'm at the Magic Kingdom at some point. I just love those 2. Well I'm off to go watch my movie and catch some "Z's".

Leaving the cold to go somewhere warm is awesome but on the way home I hold on to that "warm FL sun" feeling as long as I can. I love the goofy movie! My son use to go around the house saying quotes from that movie. The greatest cast! I saw 82 for the sunshine state today.

Tomorrow is the big day! I feel like I have so much to do but I guess I really don't. Does anyone else get that stressed feeling before they go?

Anyway my boarding pass is all printed (Yay A-18 for Southwest!). Bags are packed and I just need to run to the to the store real quick in a bit. But after that it's movie time and bed early!

I'll be up early around 4 then off to the airport I go. My flight lands in Orlando at 9:55 and hopefully I can update real quick from the airport since I'm pretty sure they have free wi-fi. Hopefully check in with Magical express and Pop century is a breeze and after that I'm off to one of the parks! There will be tons of pics since my camera is charged and ready to go!

Tonight's movie feature is pretty fitting I think. The movie is called "Walt...The Man Behind the Myth". I got this at WDW in May and I love it! When I took the KTTK tour my tourguide talked so highly of this DVD I just had to get it. It's the life of Walt Disney told by people who knew him including members of his family and people who worked with him. It really is fantastic and I have such respect for Walt. Without him (and his brother Roy) we wouldn't have such a fantastic place to travel to and all those wonderful movies.

There were so many more Christmas decorations up around the parks than I was expecting so that was great. I will say MVMCP was amazing and the MK is beautiful all decorated. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I'm so sorry I havent gotten this Tr going yet. My new computer is all set up but I dont have the internet working yet. I wanted to try and wait because it takes forever to do anything on this laptop. It's so SLOW! Anyway I really want to get this tr going so here it goes. 4:00am my alarm went off. Could it be? Finally time for Disney! I had my clothes layed out from the night before and I quickly got washed up and dressed. My mom drove me to the airport and it was pretty un-eventful. I got checked in and made my way through security. Once through security I found my gate and decided to check the Dis and read. Before I knew it we were ready to board. The flight had 66 people on it so it was pretty empty. I took a window seat up by the front of the plane and watched as they loaded the luggage. If you look closely at their cart you can see my hot pink suitcase!

Once the flight crew went through the seatbelt and emergency exit spiel we were cleared for take off. It felt so good to be up in the air knowing I was leaving the freezing cold and heading off to sunny FL (or so I thought more on that around day 4).

Even though the flight was only 3 hours it felt like forever. I just couldnt get in a comfortable position. I was so happy when we landed (15 minutes early at that!)

Once off the plane I knew exactly where I was heading...the Magical express counter! When I made my way downstairs there was a pretty long line to check in. I was hoping that this wasnt a sign of what the parks were going to be. There were about 8 CM's working the check in desk so the line moved pretty fast. Once I checked in I headed over to the Pop century line which was empty. Meaning I most likely just missed the bus.

So I had arrived at Pop Century and made my way into the lobby to check in. There was no line and the girl at the desk was very sweet and helpful. She said my room was ready and I was excited to check it out. I was really bummed that my room ended up being in the 90's section (the furthest building out). I usually always request the 50's section because being a solo traveler I don't want to be very far from the main building. I decided not to ask for another room and I that I would just be extra careful at night walking back. Sadly even at Disney you have to be very careful. Anyway the girl at the desk handed me my check in packet and a map showing me the quickest way to my room. I decided to head out the long way and enjoy the resort for a little bit. But one thing I did notice was the Pop didn't have their Christmas tree up yet. I was really hoping to see a lot of decorations at the resorts and parks. But I wasn't too upset since I knew from reading on here that everything was pretty much pushed back till after Thanksgiving. So anyway I headed out from the main lobby in search of my room...

After dropping some stuff off in the room I was ready to head out to the parks. I made my way back down stairs toward the bus stop taking the short cut and cutting through the parking lot. I decided to head to the Magic Kingdom because nothing says "your at WDW" like the MK.

Luckly I didn't wait very long for a bus and I was at the MK in about 20 minutes. First stop was heading to the guest service desk to change over my old annual pass for my new one and pick up my MVMCP ticket. While the CM was printing my tickets I could hear the Christmas music coming from the park and I was so excited to finally be there. I couldn't believe that less than 12 hours ago I was at home and now I was at the most magical place on earth. The CM handed me my tickets and I couldnt wait any longer off to the gates I went!

Infront of the Train station was beautiful. All decked out with holiday flowers and like I said they had the Christmas music playing. I headed under the decorated archway and I was finally in the park!

I headed into the Emporium to pick up the 2009 park calendar (I have one for 2008 and love it! Would have to say that the best souviner, its a little bit of Disney everyday!) After getting my calendar I headed back out to main st. to find a band marching down the street.

The weather wasn't too bad. It only rained once for like 10 minutes. The first three days were great just like summer. Saturday even had a record of 89! Then on sunday a cold snap came and it was so cold!

...Things seem to be falling into place and the buy 4 get 3 deal is just too good to pass up so I booked a 22nd birthday trip for May! I got the b4g3 package but to get the free part it has to be a ticket package. So since I have an AP I got a 1 day ticket that I will save for later and hopefully upgrade. I also decided on the quick service dining plan which will be new for me. I think I will come out even (money wise) on the dining plan but I like the idea of pre-paying my meals. The dates are May 11-18 and my birthday is on the 12th. I'm really excited to start planning this trip! Hopefully the flight prices will be reasonable when it comes time to book. So like I said my stomach was getting pretty hungry so I made my way over the bridge to Liberty square.

I figured Columbia Harbor House would be the perfect place for some lunch. The place was packed but there wasn't a line to order so I had my food in no time. I made my way upstairs to grab a seat and found a table by the window over looking fantasy land (well where fantasyland and Liberty square meet). It was a perfect place to enjoy lunch and people watch.

After lunch it was time to hit the park full force! First stop...Haunted Mansion!

The wait time was posted as 20 minutes but I couldn't of waited more than 10. To me the haunted mansion just screams Magic Kingdom so it's kind of fitting as my first ride.

I must say I love seeing first timers getting nervous in the streching room then when the lights go off and they scream. I just can't help but laugh! :rotfl:

After hanging out with the happy haunts I saw the Liberty Bell at the dock and people getting on. I've never done this so I figure why not. Try everything once!!

The ride was nice and relaxing but nothing I would race back and do. After we went back and docked I took a stroll down to Pirates of the caribbean just enjoying the atmosphere on the way. The wait time was posted as 5 minutes and it was a total walkon! After the ride I decided to make my way back to Liberty Square to get a snack by the bridge. Let me just say this is my new favorite snack.

I had my funnel cake and grabbed a seat overlooking Cinderella Castle.

I decided to spend the whole day at the MK and that I would cross over the hub over into tomorrowland.

So I cut through the hub and made my way over to Tomorrowland. My favorite area of the MK besides Main st. I decided to ride Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger spin since the wait was only 5 minutes.

After Buzz I just had to ride the people mover....not once but 3 times! I just love it! Something about it just is so relaxing.

After a couple relaxing trips around on the people mover I needed to make a stop at the restroom so I went over to Merchant venus to use those restrooms. Now you are probably thinking why I'm saying this but when I came out of the restroom PUSH the talking trashcan was just outside!

I hung around Fantasyland and saw the Phillarmagic show and of course had to ride Small world! It was getting late at this point so I decided to head to the castle forecourt to see the Christmas lights. I had read conflicting reports on the DIS that the lights were either at 5:30 or 6:30. I made it down to the forecourt at 5:15 and turns out the dream lights would turn on at 6:30. But I was able to catch the Dream along with Mickey show! I had never seen the full thing so I was excited.

Once the show was over I decided to wait where I was since the lights would be on in less than 30 minutes and I had such a good spot.


The 30 minutes went by fast and let me tell you I was so excited to see the castle all lit up. Just seeing the pictures online I knew it was going to be so beautiful. For the 30 minutes I watched the CM's transform the stage to a Christmas theme. They added decorations and trees.

Before I knew it it was time for the lights to be lit. But before they light up Cinderella castle there is a little show with Mickey and his friends trying to decide how they want to decorate the castle. They can't decide so the fairy godmother asks Cinderella and she wants it to sparkle like her glass slipper. So with a wave of her magic wand...her dream comes true!

Let me just tell you the castle was so beautiful and I got goosebumps seeing it for the first time. No picture can really show how much it sparkles and how truely beautiful it is. I have TONS of pictures of it...more to come in other updates!

After the show I stayed down at the hub and enjoyed the atmosphere with the Christmas music. It was truely a perfect night! I decided to make my way up main st after about 30 minutes

Anyway I was getting pretty exausted at this point since I had been up since 4am. I decided to head back to POP, unpack and hit the bed. But not with out getting a picture of the beautiful mickey display outside the train station.

Hey everyone!!!! I don't know if you heard but here in New England we got a really bad ice storm last thursday. Well we just got our power back today! Let me say no heat, water, lights will drive a person crazy. It's been so cold and now we have a few more storms heading our way. We (my family) are some of the lucky ones who got our power back some people in our town/state will be without for another week or more! The reason I'm telling you all this is if you could keep everyone in your thoughts. It's been such a crazy time for some and with Christmas next week I can't imagine it without lights and heat. I really hope everyone's power is restored soon!


Anyway that's where Ive been all week! No computer or anything. So hopefully now without any more interuption on with the TR!!!! :cheer2:

Nov 14th

Mickey called my room around 7:30 to wake me up for my first full day! I was up and ready in no time and excited to head out to the busses. Now because on my last trip I skipped Animal Kingdom entirely last time I made it my first stop this day.

It didn't take long to get to the park and I had arrived just after park opening so I missed the mad rush at the front of the park. As I walked from the bus stop I could see that there was a HUGE tree outside the enterance and I was so excited to see that it was a Christmas tree! Now before I left I had heard that no other park (besides the MK) was decorated for Christmas yet and it was going to be after Thanksgiving. I went down with out high hopes so I was THRILLED to see decorations up!

Straight ahead was EE! It ended up being down. The ride stopped and they actually had to walk off. I just kept thinking about those poor people on the incline having to get out then walk down the stairs so high up!

After about 15 minutes the CM's started to let us in the theater. I didn't have to wait too long before the show began and let me just say I love it! The music and puppetry are fantastic. Here are some of my pictures from the show...

Yup my job had power. They lost it on Friday and were closed (I was off anyway) but got it back that night.

Oh you were lucky! Only 8 hrs! Some people in towns around here are being told after christmas. Up in New Ipswich they are being told they wont have power for 4-5 weeks! NUTS! Now with the storm that we are getting now I hope its not delayed more.

It ended up being 6 days. The first couple days I roughed it out but by the end of it I was wayyyyyy too cold. So I stayed with some friends who had power. Thank goodness for them!

When I left the theater I noticed that EE was still down so I headed the other way over to Dinoland to ride Dinosaur. Now I'm gonna be honest this ride scares me to death but I always find the need to go on it every trip to the Animal Kingdom. Oh and I forgot to mention the wait was only 5 minutes!

After that I headed to Africa to take a ride on the safari.

The wait was posted at 15 minutes but I don't think I even waited that long. I love listening to this guy in the queue line.

Once on safari it was great. So many of the animals were out and active!

After the safari I decided to walk the trail. Sorry I can't remember the name but its the one right as you exit the safari.
Anyway it was a cool walk through the "jungle". At one point you come across an underwater view of the hippos and look who was there taking a little nap...

At another point on the trail you get to come face to face with gorilla's. They were behind glass of course but face to face none the less. So first this guy was up in the back.

Then down in front in the corner was this guy. He was actually pretending to sleep because every few minutes he would open his eyes and see who was still watching him.

All in all the trail was really cool. Something I had never done before. It was a cool expierence to come face to face with animals you wouldnt normally have a chance to.

After walking the trail I headed over to the tree of life and saw the "Tough to be a bug show" which was another complete walk on. It was around 1:45 at this point and I decided to make my way out of the park and over to Epcot for some lunch and fun around the world showcase.

Wow. 6 days without power! Crazy! I'm glad you had friends that you could count on. I cannot imagine what it must have been like living back in the old days without heat or power... (Or Disney!)

Yes I'm greatful to them. It was a rough 6 days let me just say. I wouldn't be able to survive like in the old days. There are still so many without power and it's going on day 10. We got a big storm friday were we got a foot of snow nd were getting another 10 inches today.

Haha and I was going crazy with out the Disboards!!!!

I can't wait to read more! Great pics!!! We leave in 3 days, and seeing your first day experience post, is getting me even more eager to arrive!!! :cool1:
