My SIL called from WDW last night. She said it's very hot and humid. The fans with the mist spray bottle are a must. Even at $17.95 everyone is buying them. I just ran out and got two at KMart for $7.99 each. Saved $20 even before I got there! Just wanted to give everyone a "heads-up".
We leave in the morning!!!! Can't wait!!!!!:smooth: :Pinkbounc :smooth: :Pinkbounc :smooth: :Pinkbounc

THANKS for the tip - we went last year and bought 2 at MK - I don't remember them being that expensive but we were so hot we would have probably paid twice that!! Leaving in 5 days - of course i don't have the old ones - will have to try our walmart!

I was there last August and yes they were 17 bucks. I refused to pay that even though they felt so good when the cms squirted us. I already bought mine for our august trip this year at walmart for 5.99.

We bought some last year at Kmart and Target. While they worked OK, they didn't work anywhere as good as the Disney ones. You just couldn't feel the great breeze..the squirt part was okay..but the Dis ones were great fans!

You won't notice any difference anymore....
the fans sold at Disney now are the Squeeze Breeze fans....exactly the same in size, looks, color, everything, as the ones I bought at Wal-Mart last year (on clearance) for 4.00.
The fans even have the name Squeeze Breeze on them. No mention of the Disney name or anything, anymore.
Definitely buy them at home!

when we bought ours in MK they came with long canvas straps that you could cross over your shoulder/chest (kind of like how you would wear a long-strapped pocketbook)

Are they the same brand name, and the same bottle, or different? We have a Squeeze Breeze that is really junky..junkier than the first one we bought..hardly any wind (well, the wind feels fine, when it's in the 40's, but not in the high 80's!). I didn't notice the Dis name on them last year..anyone who bought one know if they are a higher quality squuze breeze? I think ours are really junky..and we planned on buying the dis ones..that one was wonderful..I'll be so disappointed.

These are exactly the same Squeeze Breeze fans as sold at Wal-Mart. Same brand name, same bottle. same colors, even. On the bottle, in big letters, "Squeeze Breeze".
The shipping boxes even say "Squeeze Breeze" on them.
Trust me--they are exactly the same fans as sold at your local discount store--only they cost a lot more!

3.99 for the small and 7.99 for the large and Toys R Us has a bunch of different kinds one of the fans was for 7.99 then a saw a hat with a fan on it, then a saw a fan that clips on the stoller viser the thing you pull over they heads I looked at it real close it runs on batteries and there is no way there fingers can touch the blades.

I have a squeeze breeze bottle fan from Wal Mart. I took it a couple of years ago and it worked fantastic, I will be using it this July!!! I have never had a problem with it.

I didn't realize mine wasn't that good til I tried Disney's last year. We were thrilled with it, until we used a Disney one..and it was FAN tastic. I also didn't realize that Misty Fans came is several different "models" until last year.

Thanks to everyone on the DIS!!! I got my "Misty Fan" at Wal-Mart today for $5.96 and I love it. It's Model #2050 in case anyone wants to compare it with the ones at WDW. I got the green one (DS favorite color!) and it says SQEEZE BREEZE on the front. I also read on the inside that if the fan does not work well or runs backwards to check the batteries. I put long-lasting Panasonic Plus Alkaline batteries in mine and I'm very satisfied. At this price I can afford to buy two compared to the WDW price. Anyway, I'm thankful to all you guys who educated me on the Misty Fans! :D

How funny that those fans don't even have the Disney logo anymore! Disney is really cutting corners everywhere.
I bought mine at Wal-mart last year too. It was a must in August! It is still in perfect shape so we are taking it with us this year.
But my advice is to get it out of the package and check it out. We bought two last year and one of them "sucks in" air rather than fan it. Weird, but I'd replaced it if I'd known earlier.

Wanda on the one that sucks check the batterys to make sure they aren't in the wrong way. Change them and see if it helps.

I will do that, Tink, but I'd think that if the batteries are in the wrong way there'd be no current rather than air flowing in the wrong direction. I think it could be that the way the foamies are attached is wrong.
But I'll try that, thanks

If you find an "old" Disney style mister left at the parks grab it! These are the ones with a opaque white base and have a Mickey head on them. We bought one of the old style 5 years ago for a little under $20 and it's been running great since.
We've gone through 4 of the Kmart/Walmart/Target style with the clear base and they've all been broken, and I don't think any of them have gone through a significant amount of abuse.
If I could find one, I'd gladly pay the $20, instead of $5.99 and have one that will last.

I was looking for the Squeeze Breezes around here and could not find them. I logged onto the company website and checked out the list of retail outlets. Lo and behold, there was the Disney Store listed, as well as the parks (i.e. Animal Kingdom). I was a little surprised, because I remembered from our last Disney trip that the misting fans sold in the parks seemed superior to our Squeeze Breeze for one simple reason: the Disney park type had a big wide opening where you could put big ice cubes right in through the neck of the bottle. The Squeeze Breeze bottles have much narrower necks. You'd have to use little ice cubes, which of course melt faster. I tought that I'd buy one Squeeze Breeze here at WalMart, and then spring for the deluxe park version. But if the parks are only selling Squeeze Breeze brand...
By the way, I bought them at WalMart and paid $3.00 each! They are definitely this years models. Green and a sort of reddish, IIRC.

We were in Disney April 13-20. We bought a blue water bottle spray fan for $17.00. Ours does have Magic Kingdom written on it plus pictures of DW. As we walked around we saw the Squeeze Breeze bottles for the same price! Shop around before you break down and buy one. If you are going to pay that much it might as well say WDW!

We bought two of these last year at MK...It is blue with a red fan on them...I love them...it has the MK name and pictures of Disney World on them...we actually got them just for the kids because it was so hot out, but I think DH and I were using them more! LOL! The fans were awesome and the work really well!! They are cute and I am glad we bought them! The kids use them at home as well, when needed! :)

We were at WDW a few days ago and like the above poster, we also bought a Disney water squirter fan (I had never used one before but it was HOT and the kids were so much more pleasant to be around once they used it) We did see the white squeeze breeze ones being sold as well. I would suggest that it is a good purchase and if you can get them for less money somewhere thats even better. I guess if you want to avoid the cost of it, there are also those "cool you off when you stand under them " places, like near Buzz lightyear. That one sounds like a soda being opened and poured and then a mist of water sprays out under a canopy. People were really using that spot a lot too, along with a bunch of cute little birds.
As far as taking the squirter fan on rides, i carry a straw bag with me and i just put it in there when one of the kids didn't want to wear it.
I can find the fans, but none of them have the strap. Anyone find one recently with the strap attached?

the target near us is selling the ones with the strap for $6 :)

The Squeeze Breeze bottles w/ fans that I bought at Walmart have an opening in the side for large ice cubes. Thought you might want to look for those! :)

Just one more thought....
It's probably stupidity on my part, but I thought the Misty Fans at Walmart would be in the seasonal stuff, or with the lawn chairs and other vacation/summer paraphanalia. But, low and behold, they are with the fans!!! What logic!!!
My Walmart had three kinds - the teeny one (looked like a waste of batteries), a "sports" one - where the bottle was a baseball or soccor ball or whatever, and the clear color ones that everyone is talking about. All were Squeeze Breeze. I got the clear one -- it has the large opening on the back for cubes. Haven't tested it yet - and really should since I leave MONDAY!!!
Another safety tip - if you have more than one Walmart - hit them all, because the selection was very different at another Walmart (only the sports ones).
There ya go!
