I thought I read somewhere about a beach that has a trampoline in the water to jump on. Can anybody tell me what island/beach this is on? Also, what are the age restrictions and cost?
Or, am I just crazy? :D

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I BELIEVE it is only available on the teen beach at Castaway Cay.
I saw it on the cruise line video & got all excited, but then something made me think it was only on the teen beach, much to my disappointment. They must think adults don't like acting like children sometimes.

They have what you are describing at Orient Bay on St. Maarten. I am not sure if it is available on other beaches or not. At Orient Bay it is $10 per day. I don't know the age restrictions, but it looked like kids about age 10 and up were using it. They looked like they were having a ball.

The jumping and playing I saw at Orient Bay was a little intense for a 3 year old. The kids were bouncing each other into the water (about 4 feet deep). This was not quiet individual jumping, this was a free for all (not violent in any way, just frenetic). It might be different on other beaches.
There was also an inflatable slide attached to the trampoline. Kids would sit at the bottom of the slide while another kid jumped on the top of it. It would send the kid at the bottom flying high into the air and then into the water. It really did look like fun, but like I said, a little intense for the younger ones. Maybe it would be OK for the 6 year old.

There is a trampoline at Great Bay Beach on St. Maarten as well. Sorry but I don't know if there were/are any age restrictions.

Our 9 yr. old daughter used the one at the beach closest to the ship in St. Maarten. It was around $5.00 and we can't remember for how long. I know it was a long time, they gave her a wrist band to show that we paid. She had to swim out to it and I think the water was at least 4 feet deep if not deeper. She is 5'3" tall and only her head was out of the water when whe got to the trampoline. She found out if was harder than it looked because the trampoline moved around in the water. Kathy
