We've stayed at the Swan several times and and we're very happy there. We did have some housekeeping issues our last stay there but they were resolved.

I'm getting a bit concerned reading these bad Dolphin experiences. Since this is our first Dolphin stay (next week), I'd like to hear some positive feedback from recent stayers?? Does anyone know if there are any big conventions there over the next few weeks?

I just returned from the Dolphin and had a wonderful time. There were two conventions at the time and we hardly noticed them. The facility is gorgeous, the staff friendly and the pool area can't be beat.

Just back also from 8 night stay at the dolphin. We had an outstanding trip, the place is spotless, service is incredible/ I ordered an extra blanket and they asked if I wanted 2 seeing as you have 2 double beds. Anyways the blankets arrived within 15 min. There is a group of us just back and our experiences all seem positive Last year I was leary about going to the swan after reading some neg posts here and nothing but great things to say about that also.

Thanks for the encouraging posts. I didn't scroll down to LBYC's thread until after I posted mine. She had some more excellent things to say. Our stay at the Swan last time was a little unusual because we never had problems there before until that visit.

But, they were as I mentioned before eventually resolved. It just seems like there are some kinks that need to be worked out with housekeeping. There's one CM, Juan who is a wonderful man, if we only had a way to directly reach him, we'd have the best housekeeping service in the world:)

I just wanted to hear some positive feedback, thanks again. Glad you all had a great time!

No worries, the Swan/Dolphin are wonderful resorts, and it's what you make of the "inconveniences" that makes or breaks your magical experience.

If a room isn't ready upon your arrival, roll with it, stroll around the Epcot Resort Area, go to a park.

Remember, this is your vacation, relax and enjoy! Remember too, WDW is a place where dreams come true, but it is also real as well--don't leave your camcorder in a stroller and go on a ride, etc, unfortunately, it's the world we live in today.

You'll have a great time! There are some conventions going on over May 3 but nothing so big that they have sold out the resort.
You should be fine! Have fun!

We just got back from staying at the Dolphion 4/13-4/19. It was wonderful. There was a very large convention there so the hotel was crowded, but it didn't bother us at all. The buses to the MK and AK, and the boat to MGM were never full. I thought housekeeping was wonderful. We had no complaints at all. We stayed using the teacher's discount and would stay there again. Check in was quick. They put our bill under the door and we never had to check out at the front desk. We didn't have any complaints about the Dolphin.

I was at the Dolphin 4/10 - 4/19. The staff was magnificent and we loved staying there. :)

We were at the Dolphin 4/7-4/14 and, to put it quite simply, we had the best vacation ever! We had stayed on site two other times (YC water view, and Contempo Tower MK view) and we prefer the Dolphin. The Dolphin was beautiful, our room was great, and the Grotto pool was huge, warm and uncrowded. Every staff member was friendly and accomodating and the entire resort (inside and out) was immaculate. We are already planning our next WDW vacation - at the Dolphin of course! :D :D :D
