I'm thinking of booking Poly with bounceback for the end of Aug 09. I'd think an AP rate or a public code would be for more $$ off since 30% off the room is probably worth more dollarwise than free dining. I know the Poly books up fast. I'll be booking it with bounceback anyway just wondering what the chances of having availability at the Poly are when/if a better discount comes out closer to the trip. What is your experience?

AFAIK the 30% off with free dining would only apply to SSR & OKW

Whats AFAIK? I'm not looking for free dining and a discount, just wondering if there has historically been availability at Poly with a discount for the end of Aug. Value of dining plan for my family 2 adults, 2 children is about $110 where as 30% off a $400 room is $120 so I'd actually save more with a % off code.

Gotcha. Yes when staying at a deluxe resort, you're usually better off with a room discount vs. the free dining. I have this thread saved as we may be staying at the Polynesian in 2009 too. The rates are discussed toward the end of the thread:

We had a garden view room for $202 and upgraded it to a MK view for $268 a night. We had a 40% off pin code Dec 07 so we booked 4 trips with it, one of them was the third weekend in Aug. The resort was quiet, the parks were dead.

DH and I are going to return that same weekend in 09....it was perfect! Now lets hope I can get a code....

Oh I would KILL for a room at the Poly for $202!!! I'm hoping that last week of Aug works out for us, I have to see when school starts here. It's a poop shoot with Labor day on Sept 7th for 09. Totally confusing!:confused3
