We are leving for WDW next Saturday and doing the Dining Plan for the first time. How does it work? Are the credits on your room keys or do you get vouchers/tickets for each meal? We have a party of 8 with several different ADR's for different sub-groups and I want to explain how this works. Any help would be appreciated.

I believe they´re on your room keys.

Yes they are linked to your room keys. And if you need to find out how many credits you have left you can go to the concierge and they will give you a print out. I also got a print out from the with my totals at the Pop century food court. I would assume you can do that at most food courts on Disney properties.
Have a wonderful vacation!!

I'm just back from 6 day stay with my family and was wondering if I misunderstood how the DDP worked or if the CM who set it up when we checked in had it wrong. I thought the DDP for my family of 6 would all be bundled together, so anyone could use the credits at anytime as long as there were some still available. But because we were in 2 separate rooms, 4 DDPs were 'assigned' to 1 room and 2 DDPs to the other room. Made the accounting a little more difficult and had to have someone from both rooms present when we ordrered CS meals and used up the last of the snack credits before we left.
So which is it...one DDP for the family/party, or separate DDPs for each room?
