Has anyone been to the Campfire/Sing a long at Ft Wilderness? We were thinking of maybe going to Trails End and then going to the Camp Fire one night. Is this something that 2 and 3 yr olds would enjoy?
How far is it from where Trails End is to where the Campfire is done? Do you walk or is there a bus?
Anyone have pix they care to share???? THANKS! :hippie:

The campfire program is something the whole family will enjoy. Catch the bus near the Trails End to the campfire [ Meadows area].
I have a 2 and a 3 year old...and they LOVE the sing along!! :thumbsup2 They get a bit antsy during the movie afterward though.

I personally think the walk is not bad and in some cases quicker than the bus. If you take the bus, the best is the Orange bus, picked up at the Settlement depot and get off at the Meadows trading post. You can also take the Yellow bus from the same location and get off at the 1500 loop and walk across the foot bridge to the movie location in the Meadows area. The walk is a half mile or less from Trail's End to the Meadows area.

Thanks for that link and for all the great info!!! Sounds like a lot of fun for the little ones...even if we ended up not staying for the movie.
QUESTION about how to get there....we'll be staying at the Polynesian and it looks like there is a boat launch not far from Trails End. ANyone know if the boat from Poly goes there or what is the best way to get there? (We won't have a car, and will have a 2 yr old and 3 yr old....probably won't bother with strollers if we won't have to do much walking....)
THANK YOU!

The Poly boat does not go directly to Ft. Wilderness.
From the Poly, we just take the monorail or boat to the MK. Then we catch the Ft. Wilderness launch. The campfire movie is a tradition for us. Have fun!

One of the few things I dont like about FW is the complexity of getting from another resort to FW. We solved that by just staying at FW whenever we go to WDW :thumbsup2

Thanks...sounds easy enough. But from the boat launch, is it fairly simple to figure out how to get to where the Campfire is held? Thanks again! :cutie:

After you leave the boat, walk from the marina past the Trading Post on your left and down the walkway through the trees to 3 way intersection. Cross the street and continue straight down the sidewalk about a half mile to the Meadows. You will see the campfire program area to your left before you get to the trading post. There is also a sign by the sidewalk. If you choose to take the bus, after you leave the marina head to the right past Crockett's, Trail's End and Pioneer hall to the Settlement Depot just past the petting zoo. Wait for either the Yellow or Orange bus. Orange goes to the Meadows Trading Post stop, Yellow to the 1500 Loop stop.
