Help! fastest way from AK to MGM bus or car

Can someone please help me. I am trying to do both afternoon parades, one at AK and one at MGM. Can anyone tell me If it would be better to drive or take a bus, and if so how long it would take?

Last March we found the bus to be very inefficient for this commute. Twice during our stay we hopped from AK, once to MGM and once to Epcot. I don't recall the Epcot ride, so it must have been pretty uneventful. I do remember that we had to wait for a second bus to MGM, the first filled before we could get on, and it took us 1.5 hrs. to get to MGM. We left AK about 1 pm both times. This Nov. we'll drive to AK. I've found parkhopping via bus or monorail to be quite good in all other instances. BTW, this was the first week in March and the crowds were not bad at all.
