All out of surgery and all is well. Actually it was wayyyy too easy.
I was uncomfortable coming out of anesthetia and the oxygen mask always makes me feel clausterphobiac so I ripped it off quickly.
I went in at 8:30, was in my room by 1:00 and at 1:30 they gave me some great knockout drug. That stuff was GOOD!!! When I woke back up and 4:00 I was 95% myself again.
Went home this morning and glad it is over.

Glad everything went well for you!!

Glad to hear that you came through this without any complications. You go ahead and rest for a couple of weeks and let Bill get everything ready for Christmas :rotfl2:

Cherie had a scare this week. She went for a stress test and the cardiologist was sure that he saw a tumor in her heart on two separate ultrasounds. She had to go in yesterday for an esophageal ultrasound so they could get a good look at it in preparation for open heart surgery. Fun thing, it wasn't there after all just a shadow or something. Needless to say we went through a lot of emotional swings this week. Miracles do happen!

Just hoping we can make it to my parents on Wednesday and the airport and off the ground on Thurs morning.

That was really cool!

We met up with Tom, Ellen, and the boys yesterday at the place where they put on the Pa Renaissance faire to see "A Dickens of a Christmas". I'm just waiting for Tom to post a video of the 12 Days of Christmas. Let's just say that I'll never be able to hear "Six Geese-a-Laying" again without smiling.

Without this my face book and youtube will not work.:sad1: :sad1:

John and I have been both working on this since we defraged computer on Saturday both have :headache: :headache: .

I guess it will be back to phones for me and now you all will not have a million little gifts I send.:rolleyes1

I wanted to let everyone know that my brother is doing so well that they were able to lower his dose of a couple of his chemo meds. :goodvibes

He still has the problems from the chemo but, at least now we know it's working! And that in the end it will have been worth it all!!!

He had his chemo last wed/thurs (his is a 2 day process). I took him today to get his shot (he thought he drive himself.....hhhmmmm...he couldn't!) and I'll take him tomorrow. He is hoping to hold out until Thursday to come to my house to stay for a while -- probably through the weekend, again.

His last chemo will be the week of Jan 1st. :yay: I don't know what will happen with radiation, etc....

He has a friend coming in town late tomorrow to spend Wednesday with him and I am sure he would rather visit at his house then over here -- with at least one nosey child and really no privacy since he can't walk up the stairs (where there are areas to visit with people in private).
I guess if I had totally finished the guest room it would have at least a small chair in there.........
Although the friend is someone I know since they've been friends since...Jr High!!!!! :) But, I'll respect his wishes.

Thank you all for the prayers and support!!! A few weeks ago I was having a really rough time -- and I KNOW this isn't about me! ;)
Poor Tom happened to be online when I really was at the *end* of my rope that weekend! And so I yakked with him and felt like *me* again. Of course the drink I was drinking helped some too.... ;)

Jon just wants to make it better for me -- he kept reminding me that Greg is doing soooo much better then last time. Last time he ended up with severe port infections several times that came close to killing him. This time he has been healthier overall. But, being 10yrs older just made it seem like a real posibility that I would lose him this time, kwim?

Today my mom sent me a really sweet email saying that she was glad that I was able to do all of this for him and that I had a great heart, etc.... I asked if she was dying. :rotfl: I have never heard my mom give a compliment EVER! LOL! She isn't *mean* at all but, she just isn't the type to say nice things about you to your face! LOL!

I've rambled enough.....

Thank you!

It's unusual here as well. We came home from DL to snow. Yup, the "S" word that Victoria doesn't know how to deal with, as we rarely see it. Like Terri - it comes and goes very quickly if we do get it. It's very icy here and more snow is apparently on the way. Brrrr! It's cold.

Watching the weather forecasts over the weekend in the hotel - it looks like the majority of the USA is getting ugly weather right now. Woke up this morning in LA to a torrential downpour and accidents on a lot of the roads. The lady at the front desk said it hadn't rained like that all year.

Very depressing waiting at the bus stop this time around and knowing I was heading for the airport and not the MAGIC.

I've always tried to stay positive/encouraging with my children...... Maybe that's why Michael (oldest ds) has never felt like he could be what *he thinks* I expect!

I just started shopping this week....and I have more children to buy for then you do....;) Unfortunately everything I've bought so far has been our *family gifts* from Santa.....

Thank you!

Steph glad to hear DB is doing better! See you must be a wonderful sister for your Mom to give such a rare compliment! :thumbsup2

Stephanie...I am so glad your brother is doing better.:woohoo: :woohoo: I am sure it was partially do to your tender nursing.

You don't have to *accept* people as friends if you don't want.... I've done that......
Of course I now can't *gripe* the way I would prefer since there are a few of my *friends* that are way too judgemental...... They are friends of mine from 10 - 15 yrs ago.... the funny thing is that they *friended* me and then when I saw a couple of them this past weekend I tried to say *Hi* to them and I was ignored! UGH!!! The funny thing is that the reason they act this way to me is that I am not *Christian* enough for them! That always cracks me up! LOL!

I may delete them from my *friends* list...and yes, I've done that before, also! LOL!

Ack I don't get people like that at all. What does Oprah call them? I think it was toxic! Toxic friends you don't need! ;)

How does that work if you don't "accept" them? Doesn't it show that you didn't accept them? I mean I don't want to talk to these people, but I don't want them to know I don't want to talk to them. KWIM?

No. Just don't accept their *friend* request. Or press the ignore button. ;) They won't know you did it and just don't ever bring it up with them! LOL!

Can I join too! We got 4.1 inches and they say there is more on the way Thurs night! :scared1: So here is my dilemia I have 5 dozen tree shaped sugar cookies made for Kate's class. Was going to make another batch shaped like stockings for the kids to decorate Friday afternoon after the field trip. If it's bad and they call off school I'll be stuck with 10 doz cookies! :scared1:

I also shoveled the sidewalk in front of the house so my stupid postal carrier doesn't have a fit. Love shoveling snow before going to work.

Right now I'm so sick of snow I don't even want to see a snow globe! :lmao:

Oh my! How scary! I am so glad all turned out well. What an emotional rollarcoaster that took y'all through.

I only wish I could turn Christmas decorations over to Bill.
Thankfully our house is as Griswaldy as usual on the outside so the neighbors are happy. We counted over 20 cars driving by looking at our decorations Saturday in an hour period. I just have so much fun seeing everyone get so excited about our tons of Dalmation yard art.

She likes to be called Kate. Well this week at least! :lmao:

Well my jury duty lasted a whole 20 minutes! 21 of us sat in a cramped conference room plotting ways to get out of serving, cause we only saw 8 chairs in the jurior box! Than the judge came in and said the defendant was rushed to the hospital! So it's adjourned till February. But I did find a small butt end Smithfield ham at a very reasonable price. And then I shoveled the rest of the snow from yesterday!

I've seen it all now. The trash truck was way late today. As I'm taking my trash bag out to the curb I see the trash guy tossing the trash bags and cans with one arm as he is holding and talking into a cell phone with the other! :confused3

I don't have the opportunity to get on often, but wanted to wish everyone a very merry Christmas. This afternoon is our company carry in luncheon so I am stuck covering the front desk and nothing is going on. Fortunately we didn't get hit by the snow, but are expecting ice over the weekend. Tuesday it took me 2 hours to go 15 miles.

It has been a pretty rough holiday season as Brett got laid off the Monday after Thanksgiving. We are hoping things will pick up after the first of the year, but things are tight for now. We cancelled our Jan. trip to WDW. Sorry for being such a bummer. Hope everyone is well...including John's b*tt.

I think he needs bluetooth! LOL!

Yeah! A couple of years ago they made a big deal about your trash bags could only be 33 gal and 50 pounds. Didn't think it was so they could talk on their cell phones!

Thanks for worrying about us Tina. We got caught in the middle of heavy snow and ice storm. We got some ice last night but only c aught about 5 inches of snow here. :headache: John is off today and is snow blowing the drive as I speak.:thumbsup2 Where he does got to work.....they got about 10 inches of snow.

Say a prayer.....my DSIL has another interview today. :flower3:

I knew you guys would get it first. Went out and dug out with my trusty electric Toro snowblower! Kaitlin and I made snow angels. Really not a good idea at 48! Still snowing some. It has probably snowed another inch or so. Kaitlin came home yesterday and her winter jacket zipper died! We went to Meijers and they had some on sale for $16! Got some salt and couple of food items. Lot of people there stocking up.

Glad you guys are OK! :)

I don't have the opportunity to get on often, but wanted to wish everyone a very merry Christmas. This afternoon is our company carry in luncheon so I am stuck covering the front desk and nothing is going on. Fortunately we didn't get hit by the snow, but are expecting ice over the weekend. Tuesday it took me 2 hours to go 15 miles.

hhhmmm..... I don't think Jon would want it to be diluted. ;)

We've never had it diluted before, but it actually tasted really good. I think we'll add some extra mulling spices next time, even if we don't dillute it.

That just bites. I speak to so many people with similar situations. Some of them only had 1 salary coming in so that is harder to recover at all. Best wishes to the both of you and tell Brett lots of luck for the new year.

Rich celebrated his 62nd Birthday yesterday. We had doubts he would make it a while back. And DS got some good news yesterday so it was a double celebration.

Busy weekend as I still haven't done much shopping. I have made decision to just give mostly gift cards this year. Worked out great last year.

OK, It is now official. I am the worlds worst mother.
Last night we went to a birthday party for our next door neighbor. Kids were welcome as they have kids the girls ages too. We are a very close neighborhood where all the kids regularlly sleep over at everyone else houses.
Well. thankfully, even though next door, I chose to not drink last night.
We stayed for a few hours and the kids played upstairs and the adults watched the disastrous Cowboy game downstairs.
The kids periodically would come down for snacks but mostly stayed upstairs.
Well All of the sudden Miranda was wearing different clothes than she was when we went to the party. I asked her about it and she said she wanted something more comfortable so she went home and changed.
Well at about 10:30 Bill goes home because he had to work at church pretty early this morning (he volunteers running the AV dept). I stayed until about 11:15. Megan was downstairs and I thought Miranda had already gone home when Bill did so Megan and I went home.
The house was pitch black so I sent Megan up to her room and went to bed.
Fast forward to this morning when Bill calls me from church and says we should go out to a steak place for lunch and when he would be back to get us and go as soon as he got finished with the last service.
I go upstairs to wake up Megan and when I get to Miranda's room- she was not there! :scared1: Ok, after I run screaming for her through the house I try to mentally retrace my steps from the night before. There was no way I was calling Bill right in the middle of the service when he is in a control room with 5 other people to say "Do you know where Miranda could be?" :sad2:
The possibilites were either that Miranda was:
a) kidnapped on my frozen porch while waiting for us to let her in the night before
b) She froze on our doorstep and hungry wolves carries her away
c) One of my neigbors had realized what a deadbeat Mother I was and taken pity on Miranda and she was still there.

I throw on clothes, run next door and there is Miranda - in the same clothes as the night before, eating at the next door neighbors!! Oh yeah! Imagine how stupid I felt saying "Uh, thanks for letting my kid sleep here since we locked her out of the house last night" :sad2: Did I mention it was 25 degrees here last night?
Turns out she tried to come home and the door was locked and house all dark. She went back to the party and played until my other neighbors left and walked her home to our house. When the house was locked, they took her back to the party where they just kept her all night.
yep- Mother of the year!!!! :scared:

Ken has posted some images up on our website of what this place we call home looks like right now.

Victoria rarely sees snow and if we do - usually only lasts for a few days and then it's gone. We have over 12 inches on our deck right now and it's still snowing. According to history, we only have a 7% chance of snow for Christmas and they are already confirming that we will have a white Christmas along with all the rest of Canada for the first time since 1971.

Sneaky.....

Well, given the Eagles disappointing performance today, there is only one goal left this season, beat Dallas and knock them out of the playoffs!

You know they don't deserve it. I cannot imagine they will get very far this year. Disappointing.

I feel quite sure the quiet knocking had something to do with wanting a sleepover. Good call! :thumbsup2

Both of you make very good points.
My suspicion is the rest of the adults were in a little worse shape than me.
They were partaking much more of the alcohol than me.
Miranda said my other next door neighbors stayed until at least 2:00 am and just left their kids too (although I think on purpose and not forgotten like me :rolleyes1 ).

Victoria rarely sees snow and if we do - usually only lasts for a few days and then it's gone. We have over 12 inches on our deck right now and it's still snowing. According to history, we only have a 7% chance of snow for Christmas and they are already confirming that we will have a white Christmas along with all the rest of Canada for the first time since 1971.

http://www.islandnet.com/~kpolsson/snow2008/index.htm

Wendy.........we keep getting hit with all the storms coming down from Canada. Would you please stop sending them this way!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Both of you make very good points.
My suspicion is the rest of the adults were in a little worse shape than me.
They were partaking much more of the alcohol than me.
Miranda said my other next door neighbors stayed until at least 2:00 am and just left their kids too (although I think on purpose and not forgotten like me :rolleyes1 ).

Coral......sounds like my kind of neighborhood.;) :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm sorry ...

... about Brett getting laid off... and I thought about an article in yesterdays' USA Today (or LA Times?) about how Northrop was having trouble HIRING folks. They have a lot of vacancies now (for specialized positions) and as such were engaging in very aggressive tactics to get folks to interview with them. I have no idea if Brett has any experience which Northrop could use - but I took the liberty of checking if Northrop has any business in Ohio - and it seems they have 14,500 enployed in Ohio http://www.irconnect.com/noc/press/pages/news_releases.html?d=128550 and maybe you'd want to check thier site and send a resume - or ask around for friends who might be employed there about openings?

I hope my thoughts were not in error or diplomatically incorrect. It's just a stab in the dark in trying to help. :confused3

Hate to have to be asking again, but I need your prayers.

I've been at the hospital all weekend. My mom had a mild heart attack on Saturday. Not sure of the course of treatment yet. They need to do a stress test, but they don't like something in her kidney levels. Hoping to regulate it by switching her medication. She's not a candidate for bypass surgery since she's had too many already.

Hoping to know more tomorrow when her usual cardiologist is on duty.

I just wanted to say thank you to all my "family" for the Christmas cards that have been delivered to our mailbox. I have them scattered all over my diningroom and familyroom. I also have to give a special thank you to Crash, your's is the first envelope that I will cherish! You are quite the master artist. ;)

When you do your crusie..........please come over and do my last 3 cruises.:lmao: :lmao:

When you come to visit me this Spring we'll work onour cruise scrapbooks. ;)

Spoke to Steven today and he is bruised pretty bad on his hip. A bit of road rash on his arm but he was really lucky. Testament to wearing a helmet and an expensive one at that. He is luckily a very cautious guy. She was supposed to post the pics of the helmet on facebook but as of a bit ago nothing.

I am so glad that it wasn't worse!!!! He must have a good Guardian Angel watching him! Or like my youngest brother (not the one that is sick now but, one that has had more injuries then anyone I know!) always says *You can't kill Superman.*

Hmm- I really had no clue you could have 9. Is that 9 separate surgeries? What do they do for veins at that point? I would thought he would be striped clean by then. I am sure hoping we never have to find out.
When Bill had his open heart 3 years ago they mentioned they were working on artificial venis instead of stripping your own.

Jon has said that he will hook up the wireless part of my new printer (an Epson Artisan 800).
And then Jon and the kids are planning on playing GH world tour today. Jon said that it is really fun. ;)

Thank you all for the prayers, they definitely were answered!!!!!

After numerous tests they determined that there was no further damage to my mom's heart. In fact, they think that it was so mild that if it had happened just a few years ago, they would not have been able to detect it. They've made so many advances in their tests over the last few years. Mom has been home since Tuesday and getting a lot of rest.

Cheryl, we've been told that 9 bypasses is the limit. (for the uninformed, not 9 surgeries, but 9 veins bypassed). My mom has had 2 surgeries with 7 veins and they told her on the last one that they would not be able to do any more, even though she's not up to the 9 limit. I don't know why they cut it off at 9 but that's what they've told us. Don't want to scare you, but maybe you should discuss it with John's doctor. Maybe John's case is different?

Debi, thanks for the picture. I have a similar one but mine didn't come out as good. I also have one of Todd's son Destin feeding Trevoy. On a sad note, Geddings, the server pictured, is no longer with DCL. I don't have all the details but I believe he has hired an attorney so it's not pretty.

To everyone else, let me take this opportunity to thank this wonderful group of people for getting me through a very difficult year. Thank you for the laughs, the tears, the drinks, the games, and the prayers. I love you all! Happy New Year.

Hopefully John will not need anymore by-pass. It took him 10 years to clog his arteries(he gave up all red meat and fat when this happened 20 years ago)
from his first 5 bypass. You are right about medicine and the advances made. The newer drugs are much better today than Mevacor. Crestor has been keeping his Cholesterol to 135 for the last 3 years.

Glad your mom is feeling better. Sometimes your heart will just have a little bleep.:flower3:

Hi Everyone! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We just got back today from an awesome WDW trip. At some point when Sydney and I have recovered I'll find time to go through all of our pictures and give a better summary... For once, we had beautiful weather for almost the entire trip. We had 1 day that was just cold and Sydney and I weren't feeling great so we went back early. We didn't have any rain or freezing temps at all down there. As of the 1st, they are REALLY into the Celebrations thing. We had a couple of restaraunts give my SIL and I certificates or free dessert since we're both expecting (we just found out about her) and BIL and Sydney dessert and cards for their birthdays.

We had the worst travel day ever today geesh! We actually got to the airport early for once, but then it took Steve an hour to return the rental car and get back to the airport. He also sat in something that really smelled like pee on the shuttle back. We then decided to do the curbside check-in to save time and barely made it to the gate as they were boarding. We got on the Southwest plane with the family boarding and found the last 2 seats together - in the very very back where the seats don't recline. Sat next to a family that was vomiting the entire time - apparently some sort of virus :scared: They lost Sydney's carseat that we gate checked so they couldn't lose or damage it.... Then while trying to figure out how to get the SW loaner seat into the car, a taxi backs into us! Then the lady could care less... My dad went and knocked on her window and she's like oh well (at least we didn't see any damage!!) So on our way back to my parent's house, we had to get around a good accident... Not 2 blocks later there was a little OLD lady driving the WRONG WAY on the road... A cop was trying to hold traffic so she could turn around, but she kept driving the wrong way... Then steve narrowly avoided an idiot that ran a red light. Phew made us want to curl up at my parents house and not do anything else today. After that was OK, except for people driving weird and coming home to snow. I haven't been able to warm up all day!

The pictues are adorable!

IS that a park across the street from you??? I would HATE for my kids to be able to see that! LOL! Claire would cry everyday for me to take her there! LOL! I thought it was bad enough that at our old house there was a park a block away......I had to go there ALL THE TIME! Some months I took her everyday........
I HATE the park! LOL! Jon tells the kids all the time *Your mom must really love you because she HATES the park!* :lmao:

Yeah we now realize that moving across from the park was a BAD idea... It is always busy! I can't believe how many people come and go from there all day long. It's always weird to work in our front yard with an audience. And the park is still too advanced for Sydney (or I'm too paranoid, but either way...)

Awwww Mom! I can't put my arms down!

:lmao: We kept saying that all day!!

Well since I've been up since 2:30am NM time and it's now 9pm, I think it's time for sleep! So if this all made no sense or I'm really rambling, that's why! Keep your fingers crossed that Sydney sleeps OK tonight... We decided that it's time for the pacifier to go away so we "forgot" to bring it home from WDW. So far, so good since she only took 20 mins to fuss herself to sleep.

Elvis has never met my Abby... She's all lapdog... (of course she's also 118 lbs)

But it's like having a real live bear in the house. (i've always wanted my own circus.)

She's real gentle with all the kids we meet though. (The kids at the dog park always love to come over and pet her.)

He would freak. There is no reason at all for him to be afraid but, he is.....of cats, too.
He's never been tramatized by an animal and he knows that there is no LOGIC for his fear. :sad2:
Just seeing a dog puts him in *fear* mode. I will say that in the past year he can finally be in the same house with the dog of his best friends. It is a rather small dog that leaves the room as soon as the boys arrive. ;) But, it took a year of them putting the dog in the garage every week when we would come over. And then gently introducing him to the dog -- they would wait until after we arrived to put the dog up and then after a year....he finally wasn't bothered. :goodvibes He still doesn't want the dog to come near him. ;)

Now Claire would LOVE your big dog! LOL!
Elvis uses Claire as a defense with animals -- he puts her between him and the animal. :rotfl2:

I can't figure out which was the worst thing to happen.....I think the vomit family wins....... I can't wait to really hear aobut your trip!!!

If you never take her over to the park she will never know that she CAN play on some of it! LOL!

Good luck with the *no pacifier*!! I have a thumb sucker....you can't get rid of a thumb......

Well.....It looks like we were all too optimistic..too soon.

Greg is back in the hospital....All over something so minor to most people...

He had developed a pimple right underneath one of his nostrils. He had put a band aid on it yesterday (becasue the plastic tubing from the oxygen irrated the area). During the night he started feeling really terrible....night sweats....vomiting.....the works. His lip then swelled up to about 5 times its normal size - he says he looks like a duck ;) . He is now at the hospital waiting for a room. :sad2:

Yesterday afternoon he was feeling better then he had in months. He could see an end to all of this -- his last chemo is scheduled for 2 weeks from yesterday.

He could use any and all prayers.

Steph, we'll definitely continue to keep Greg in our prayers. We'll also say an extra prayer for you as well. From our involvement with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and Linda's previous work in radiation oncology, we know that one of the most important things for people dealing with chemo is to have a good support system of family and friends. Greg is very lucky to have you there to help him through this.

Right now Greg is just *sick & tired* of being sick and tired! And I don't blame him!
He is sounding much better this morning -- and the swelling has gone down so, he doesn't look so *freakish*. His upper lip was at least 5 times its normal size........
He is responding quickly to the antibiotics -- since this time around his blood cell count is close to normal :yay: -- and they expect to release him tomorrow. :thumbsup2
I'll be going up to the hospital later (Claire has a playdate today & Girl Scouts! :) ) to bring him some real food. Knowing him he probably wants some fried shrimp & french fries w/ a Dr Pepper! LOL!

I was trying to find a pic of Greg (where no one is making some wierd face or has their eyes closed....). Here is Me & my siblings (I'm the oldest) and my mom & dad at My dd's wedding last year. Greg is the one standing next to me. And yes, I am the only one with dark hair! LOL! The rest are natural blonds! LOL!

What a nightmare:scared1:
Glad you made it home ok.

Linda decided to try to conquer her fear of heights by ziplining in PV. She ended up threatening to walk down the back side of the mountain with all of the snakes because that was preferable to continuing on the zip lines. She eventually made it by zipping through the jungle with several Mexican men wrapped around her.

I'm proud of her for doing it, and I thank God that it was her idea and not mine.;)

I would have walked down with her! there was a reason I didn't go zip-lining with you all! My other fear is flying so this summer will really test that.

I just have to keep thinking.if I fly I get to be with all of you! And with all of you - there is rum! :woohoo:

Well, even IN CONTEXT it sounds pretty great . . . when I ziplined there the videographer zipped with me on one of them (and let me hang upside down without holding onto anything) and it was a fairly memorable experience;) Hmmm, Mike, maybe I'll have to pretend to have a fear of heights and see how many Mexican men I can get wrapped around me next time:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Give my congrats to Linda:goodvibes

Thanks y'all.
Yes, this has been quite the roller coaster ride and Monica, I do want off! LOL!

LOL!

That would scare me even more!!!!

I don't think any of the 5 of us would have been able to do it....Well...Claire (7) probably would do it! LOL! Elvis would look at me and ask *Are you TRYING to kill me?* Samantha would of had a panic attack (she is afraid if heights).... I'm the type that would just close my eyes and do it! LOL! Jon would probably look at me and say *I'm a little old for this ___.* :rotfl2:

Phew what a day. So I woke this morning still feeling really bad as I have for the past week. So I went to urgent care and came home diagnosed with bronchitis and pink eye in both eyes. No wonder I wasn't getting better! At least I have antibiotics now so hopefully I'll get better and not worse. If it triggers my asthma I'm in big trouble since I'm pregnant!

We gave Sydney a piece of cake for her birthday (2 today!) with 2 candles. She wanted to keep blowing out the candles and wanted nothing to do with the cake! *sigh* someday she'll want to eat!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I really thought about including myself in the zipline, but the anxiety was awful:rolleyes: After weighing the disappointment in being left out with the anxiety and fear of going,
I settled on chips and a pina colada at the bar:cool1: With Pamela and Chris to hang with:cool1: :cool1:
I somehow missed a few others that day (Enna and Julie and her gang:confused3 ) But I had fun anyway.

You should have joined us at the bar instead of ziplining.
My Mom is also afraid of flying and I've developed that fear as well:guilty:

Now I found xanax to just make me sleepy, so I was sleepy and anxious on the plane. I guess it did calm down the pounding heart and sweaty palms though:laughing:

I was kicking myself for forgetting my bonine for the Jolly pirate excursion. DCL has so spoiled me (with those stabilizers) that I've been forgetting it:headache:

Laurie, I am sorry that you had problems on the smaller boat. I know the feeling!! I wear a patch on the ship to keep me from getting motion sick.

Is there a fingers crossed smilie????? I KNOW this feeling!!!! We weigh Claire all the time........ She is 7 1/2 (her b-day is July 1st) and weighs 38lbs.....

I tell her that God is keeping her tiny because he knew she would be my last baby and I wanted her *cuddle size*. ;)

I used to have a horrible problem with motion sickness, but not in several years:confused3

Bonine works well for me, when I remember to bring it:rolleyes1
That day it was sitting in my cabin, not with me on the pirate boat:rolleyes:

I probably would have been ok, except for the combo of empty stomach, sea water and rum punch (or punched rum):upsidedow

That was an excellent excursion though.
Thank you to whomever suggested the Jolly Roger Pirate ship:thumbsup2

The folks around here didn't want a Disney park. Afraid of what it would do to the area:confused3
I'm sure my family would visit more if there was a park here...maybe it's good that there isn't one now that I think of it:idea:
