If there are any scrapbook people around.
I had another class last night. Not finished gluing everything on, but when I do it will look like this:

Phew what a day. So I woke this morning still feeling really bad as I have for the past week. So I went to urgent care and came home diagnosed with bronchitis and pink eye in both eyes. No wonder I wasn't getting better! At least I have antibiotics now so hopefully I'll get better and not worse. If it triggers my asthma I'm in big trouble since I'm pregnant!

We gave Sydney a piece of cake for her birthday (2 today!) with 2 candles. She wanted to keep blowing out the candles and wanted nothing to do with the cake! *sigh* someday she'll want to eat!

Terri hope you're feeling better soon:hug:
When are you due:confused3

That's really nice Laurie. Linda got a Cricut for Christmas, and I've been playing around with it too. Maybe someday we'll actually get around to making a scrapbook page.

Mike, the woman who made the kits for the class used a Cricut to make many of the letters and shapes.
I'm just learning now- following someone else's lead and design.
Eventually I'll get confident enough to make a scrapbook for last year's TOAL:rolleyes:
I just didn't want to ruin the cool page kits I got at the scrapbook meet.
Now at least I know which glue to use:woohoo:

Gonna ask Santa for a Cricut next Christmas:idea:

Thanks! I am feeling much better now! Turns out Sydney is also sick now too :( I took her in on Tuesday for pink eye (like mom) and she also has an ear infection. So we're taking the same drugs right now.

I'm 16 weeks, due July 2nd. Haven't seen a Dr yet (Love NM healthcare....) but I feel fine except for this bronchitis! Baby's kicking like crazy already! We see the OB on Monday and have genetic counseling and ultrasound scheduled for Friday (a week from tomorrow). Finally got them to realize that we are high risk because of everything with Sydney and they should be doing something!!

Yeah, that pink eye does tend to travel through families very quickly:rolleyes:

Glad you are feeling the baby so strongly:thumbsup2 Having to wait until 18 weeks to see the doc and get an ultrasound would make me so nervous:guilty: Being your second though you know what you need as far as vitamins and stuff:confused3
Do they let you tape the ultrasound ? The radiaologist for my oldest told us to bring a blank tape (private ins), but the one for my DD wouldn't let me (HMO):confused3
Let us know how everything goes:grouphug:

The later ultrasounds that we had, they would only give us a few pictures printed and on CD. We forgot to ask what these people do. I need to call so that we can take what we need :)

I was at the Drs Thursday and they had a poster all about the feeding and swallowing clinic sponsered by Fl Hospital here in Orlando.See you have a reason to move to WDW. Hope all your medical problems get ironed out. I know how frustrating it is to get someone to truly understand your concerns.

well, hope everyone is doing good! congrats terri to you on your pg! we are also pg...and due a month after you. it was scary for us to find out, cuz of the mc we had before the toal...it was like deja vu, since we would be the same number of weeks pg for this trip as we were for the toal. went to the doc though and heard a heartbeat last thursday...so it seems all is well....keeping fingers and toes crossed!
well, here is a pic of the magic sailing by...not sure where we were exactly...we pulled over into some deep sea fishing parking lot. just as the magic blew her horn, a boat full of fishermen pulled up with lots of dead fish! yuck!!! we ended up moving down a ways to watch her sail by...(gotta say it was strange watching them sail away...lots of people had sweatshirts, and we even saw what seemed to be a few winter coats!! still better than being in snowy NY though!)

Here are some pics of Tori's birthday party. Her official birthday is actually he 29th but her party was yesterday. We took 9 girls to lunch and a movie. We had the party room at the movie theater. Tori's theme was "puppy" and the movie was Hotel for Dogs. The party also included a tour of the projection room in the theater.

Have you found a puppy for her yet ?

No, we haven't found the puppy yet..we found another one and he is available but the more we thought about the next few weeks...the more we decided we have to wait. Next weekend we are going out of town for the day and then the following we are having a big Super Bowl party here and don't want to scare the poor thing. We are spending Valentine's day at the GC at DL so..we told Tori after Valentine's Day..she can look. For her birthday - she rec'd a few PetSmart gift cards to buy goodies for her dog ..we thought it was a cute idea from her friends.

Yes, an online game through Facebook. I do enjoy Facebook soooo much more then I did Myspace. In fact I really didn't enjoy Myspace -- I tease my kids because I think I got my *Myspace* around the time Elvis (almost 11) was a baby. So, I had mine ALOT longer then my big kids had theirs! LOL!

Facebook is quick and easy -- I go to *status updates* and look over everyone's first thing in the morning. And see if anyone has written a note that I need to read, etc...
I sent some of you my DH's link.

Todays' been busy as I installed a new garbage disposal (what a mess) ... and I bought the HD Camcorder off todays' WOOT ... a 720p with native 5mp CMOS sensor that records to SD card... at $130 it qualifies as a toy considering I paid 5x that much for my 1080p Canon HF100. I was thinking this might work as an occasional all-in-one recording security camera since it has automated recording when movement is detected - plus it seems to work as a 5MP still camera with a built in flash. It records 25 minutes at 720p and 30FPS with 1GB ... so an 8GB SDHC card will record 200 minutes in HD ... or a lot more at lower resolutions!

http://www.electronichouse.com/images/uploads/polaroid-dvc00725f.jpghttp://www.chinatraderonline.com/Files/Gifts-and-Crafts/Toys-and-Games/Tank/1-12-R-C-Tank-12333529228.jpg

At any rate - this Polaroid is todays' "toy of the day" purchase. I was thinking - maybe I could get creative with it - maybe put it on a R/C car or tank (I have a good sized R/C tank) or maybe strap it to the dog or perhaps now I have an excuse for buying a big R/C helicopter to carry this carry to record flights around various places of interest? If it crashed or was lost I'm only out $130 + the cost of the vehicle. OR... at this price it would be OK for the kids to use occassionally. Better to use this cheaspie camera versus the 1080p Canon HF100 which cost 5X as much.

Aside from that = alls been well around here... we just started AYSO soccer with Alicia coaching again - in fact, I have to run now as a practice session is starting in 45 minutes.

Hope everyones' been well - or at least limping through the days OK.

And may I add our Happy Birthday well wishes to Desiree:

::yes:: :lmao: For months he only had 1 friend -- a friend from High School....... I kept making fun of him so, he finally friended me.....and that was the beginning...... :rotfl:

He'll never play the games...they would interfere with his WOW time.

Of course I may force him to accept Flair from me..... :upsidedow

I am banned from playing WoW.... Seriously, DH has the router set up so that I can't play MMORPGs at all... Apparently he loses a wife when I play...

And now you are trying to suck DH in?

It is all your fault we all got suckered into facebook. :sad1: I was very content to post on the Dis. :hyper: Now I have no time.:crazy2:

Since you've been spending so much time farming, I gave your lil green patch a hot tub so you can relax there! :thumbsup2

Thanks Mike.....but now I have no time to relax because I am one of your crew with the fishing game. :rolleyes2 :rolleyes2

Thanks and congrats to you too!! That's exciting news!

Yeah I am pretty sure everything will be fine this time too! We finally saw the Dr yesterday and heard the heartbeat :yay:

Hi little baby.:wave2:

We are not coming to Chicago in Feb, mostly due to the weather out there (it's been in the 50's for the past week here!)

You are not missing a thing!!::yes::

Yup she got me sucked into the virtual farm too! I also have a virtual city, a zoo, and am trying to stop global warming.... Oh and a vampire game too....

I see we got you into the fishing game besides the farm too!!!  :lmao: :lmao:

I know a couple of women, my age, that play WOW. They both started so that they would have something in common with their teenage sons. ;) I know that one of them doesn't do much else anymore......I think her dh works an evening shift...and her teenage son is now away at college....
During the day she is a kindergarten teacher. :)

I have never been interested in those types of games......most of our kids & dh play them..... For years Jon only played after the kids went to bed, at night. Well....then he wasn't getting to bed until 2 or 3am...... So, now they play together -- in the same room and they do their *raids* and *stuff* together. And now Jon is in bed by midnight. ;)
My husband hasn't watched a tv show (except Family Guy......) in years.

His routine is pretty much...come home from work, we eat dinner....he watches Simpsons (or something like it) with the kids and then Elvis & Jon get on and play WOW. Claire has brought her tray, with play doh, in the office so, she can hang out with them this week. :)
Samantha & I have been at the theater every evening for rehearsals.
They play for a couple of hours and then Jon puts the kids to bed -- even when I am home in the evening it has always been *Jon's job* to give the kids baths (when they are babies & little) and get them ready for bed. He brings them to me to kiss good night. ;)

Tom, Kevin has installed a small camera into one of his train locomotives and it plays back on a t.v. It's really cool when it passes other trains or goes through tunnels. Also has sound in it...fun way to eavesdrop! ;)

1.) The tornadoes that came through OKCity today were not anywhere near us.

2.) The results from my recent Stress Test came back and they're not good. It came back abnormal and he wants to run a Cath again(3rd time) and possibly put in another stent. The surgery part doesn't bother me,it's the no lifting or squatting for 6 weeks that does! :headache:

I feel for you Debi. I've been through so many of these with my mom. I'm praying it's just a blip on the test and there is not a lot of damage in there. Have they scheduled you yet?

On another note:sad2: , those of you who met my DH knew he was battling brain cancer. He had an operation in 2004 and was back on Chemo last year. We agonized about whether he was well enough to take the trip but he wouldn't miss it for anything. Some of you were aware he lost that fight Jan 21. I want to thank all of our friends who made the TOAL truly that. Rich was so grateful he got to meet many of you and I have many happy pictures and videos to cherish. He loved them so much, he even had me put them on his desktop so he could watch them all the time. Thanks Guys.. Thank You to those of you with all your kind thoughts and support. It really meant so much. We are still getting over the shock of the suddenness of it but time does seem to heal. Has anyone else noticed that this thread pretty much died now that so many are on Facebook?

Hi all,
we're just back from 10 days at WDW (Con & ALK). Susan's little sister got married at the Wedding Pavaillion (Sarah was the flower girl), with reception at the GF. Spent one day at the Kennedy Space center.

The easiest way is to search for "PC Pirates 2008" . A lot of us have joined this group, so you can go through the members list and "friend" us. From there, we'll all probably stalk you! Have fun.

Hi all
I have not been able to follow many threads lately due to "life". I hope today finds you all well and happy. Seeing this thread in my subscriptions always brings a smile to my face and very happy TOAL memories.
I have been on Facebook for a while with alot of old high school and childhood friends, so I'm thrilled to see many of you have started up over there too.
Arlene, my prayers to you and your family for your loss. I'm so glad you have wonderful memories.

The family is good...Kallie is busy with cheer and a wizard of oz play, Parker is playing basketball, Beau is heading into touring season for drumline with Pulse percussion and Jordan & Jill are less then 100 days from the wedding, so they are busy with planning. Hi Lisa. Thanks. I came to the realization, this is the first time I am living alone.:scared1: I'm not very good company to myself.:lmao: At least the dog is starting to come around. He was never my puppy so it is hard for him to accept me. Coordinating the kids to come walk him in the afternoon is more stressful than I thought. So my Sunday lunch hour,I go home to spend a few minutes with him. He can't cross his legs for 12 hours.:lmao:

Rich was a tremendous Yankee fan, in fact we announced our engagement at a Yankee game 40 yrs ago Aug. So when we were making the final arrangements the kids were practically hysterical when they saw a Yankees Urn. The decision was made. He went out wearing the Championship cap and pin and is sitting in his office still spying on the neighbors.:rotfl2: Some things never change. Looking forward to seeing everyone in August.

Thanks for posting this Arlene. We've booked the JUL04 Eastern, so will be heading down around June 30. Just starting to look into airfare.

Has anyone flown Air Tran? How solvent are they? I don't know much about them - so a little leary when they are the cheapest ones going. Will probably end up with Alaska, Delta or Continental.

Hi Wendy!

We flew AirTran last week. We went to WDW for an impromptu buy 4 get 7 deal. I had no problems w Airtran. They are based out of Orlando. According to the DIS Transportation boards, they seem to have a reputation of altering the times of their flights, but we had no issues.

Flights to Orlando (from NYC) last week were $600rt (since the NY schools have off for the whole week) so we took Airtran out of Baltimore for $150rt (I a sucker for a bargain).

Stay well,
Sil

So why haven't you broken down and joined Facebook yet?

I'm proud to say I've been away from the computer for the better part of a week. Just 30 mins or so every couple of days to check email and FB message... My screen on my laptop is almost kaput... Actually we thought it was totally dead, but it seems to be working today for some reason... The other reason is that the desktop is upstairs and I've been confined to the couch mostly for the last week. I woke last Saturday with the WORST pain in my leg ever! Steve had to carry me to the bathroom and then downstairs and to the car for the ER trip (Yeah it was THAT bad). By the time I got downstairs, I was dizzy and had to sit down before even going to the car. Many pregnant women have sciatic nerve issues while pregnant. Well apparently you can have the same issue with a nerve that runs in the front where the leg bends. Only, instead of a back ache that when I had it with Sydney, I could still move around, even though it hurt, I could not move my leg at all without excruciating pain! So since the desktop was upstairs, I chose to have steve carry me only once LOL! Luckuly, I am almost better now. I don't have full movement in my leg still and really shouldn't be carrying Sydney. But there isn't really any pain left... it just feels kinda weird. I am trying really hard not to overdo things to make it bad again (if that's even what happened originally!)

Yes, somehow that clinic seems to have done a lot of good for her. I can't even tell you what exactly they did. Maybe she was just ready and the different circumstance for a week is what did it. *shrug*

I think its going to be a more "adult" trip as the lease in LA begins January 1 and the Wonder is scheduled for a December 23 (Roger's Birthday) 7 night Western and a December 30 Eastern (the Magic is doing 10+ night cruises then). That would mean its out on cruises till January 6. So unless one of the new ships is in service early to take these cruises, the earliest any repo would leave is January 6, although I wonder if the Wonder will go to Virginia first for a dry dock and do a February repo?

Is there a season for Panama Canal crossings? I seem to remember we were the first ship to kick off the cruise season at Columbia. So now I'm really starting to wonder when they'll take her over.

I don't know if I want to go the other direction. I might constantly feel like we are going the wrong way. :rotfl:

Our oldest DD couldn't make the last repo, but she is going to be on sabbatical the 10/11 school year so this could be her chance to go. We were hoping that any repo would be later in the spring when the youngest is done with the spring semester and it could be a real family trip. But any move would probably have to wait till the new ship is delivered. Has anyone heard anything about when the new ship is scheduled to arrive in Florida?

Disney Wonder to Sail from Los Angeles Starting in 2011
Disney Cruise Line announced on March 30, 2009 that it plans to reposition the Disney Wonder from its Florida base in Port Canaveral to the West Coast in 2011. The company is working with the Port of Los Angeles to finalize a two-year agreement with a three-year extension option. The contract will be considered by the Port of Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners on April 2, 2009.

If approved, the new Disney Wonder sailings could generate more than 250,000 guests passing through the Port of Los Angeles over a five-year period.

The addition of a new homeport for Disney Cruise Line is part of the overall expansion plan for The Walt Disney Company. Two new ships, Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, will arrive in Florida’s Port Canaveral in 2011 and 2012, respectively.

Disney Cruise Line has successfully tested the West Coast market with two summer seasons of Mexican Riviera itineraries from the Port of Los Angeles. The Disney Magic cruise ship first called on the West Coast during the summer of 2005 as part of Disneyland’s 50th anniversary and returned again during the summer of 2008. Disney Cruise Line has not yet announced the details of its itineraries for 2011.

Yeah I did! That's the weirdest thing. I was telling my OB at the last visit that I was afraid it was going to last the rest of the pregnancy or at least come back. She agreed. It lasted a couple of weeks, but is totally gone now (cross your fingers!)

That's sort of similar to what I experienced. Erica sat on some nerve about 6 weeks prior to delivery. Our ensuite entrance is right at the end of the bed more or less. Would take me 10 minutes or more to get upright from bed and go 8 feet during the night. It went away at some point before delivery - but man it was annoying and painful for a few weeks. Fingers crossed that your little one doesn't move back onto the nerve before delivery.

Just thought I'd share this with all of you.....

Most of you know my mother made both my Tia Dalma and DS's Ragetti costumes. But did you know she did this without ever seeing the movies? She worked off a few pictures that I printed up for her.

Well, Dead Man's Chest was on this week and she caught some of it, enough to see each of our characters. She was shocked to see how well she did. She didn't know the characters names but knew right away which ones to look for because her costumes were so right on.

I hugged her and thanked her again for doing such a great job. I love my mommy!!!

Anyone have any photos?

I only know this because I know were are heading down to WDW on Aug 29, and I recall that I would "just" be missing the festivities.

Anyone have any photos?

I wish everyone well.

Is tomorrow our one year anniversary of the Canal transit? Boy I wish I could go back in time!

It was last week. I saw a post elsewhere that a lot were headed home this past Fri/Sat.

Tom or Roger posted that they had approx 30 for the Ohana dinner plus another 10 for Wishes.

Sil,

It was over the last ten days that a bunch were there. If you are on facebook, look for one of us, there were a bunch of pics posted by Roger, Des and others.

Thanks for posting Roger! We truly had a fantastic time & it really reinforces what a great bunch we had on the PC! For those that missed it...there's always next year! :goodvibes

Doubt we'll be doing another cruise anytime soon, but I would LOVE to do Alaska someday. I need to find a job too Susan, but first I have to stop being a professional student. ;)

Great pictures Roger!! Wish we could have moved our vacation one week later to join the rest of the meets. Darn school and football schedules! It cost us meeting up with everyone else and free dining! It was fun seeing everyone at Des's room though.

I believe June has been watching the facebook conversation on this. We would love to join in depending on the cost. At this rate, we'll never become DVC members. :goodvibes

Well I was thinking of taking the boys for Eric's graduation from High school but he stuck his nose up and said he wanted to go to the DVC in Hawaii ..if he goes anywhere..

then DH said.. we could go on the 8/30 cruise just the 2 of us since both kids will be in college.. and we will be heavily in debt but child free..LOL
- last alaska cruise ( yes we know it will be cold but..) and on the cruise back to LA for the same price as taking the kids in June.. sounds good to me..

It won't be that cold. It's still short sleeve/capri weather here.

Anyways, plan sounds great. FYI - there is a bit of a gap between the last Alaska cruise and then the repo back to LA. Drydock somewhere maybe?

It's a fair gap. I think the last Alaska cruise returns to Vancouver on Sept. 6 and the Vancouver - LA repo doesn't leave until Sept. 20.

There are quite a few places they can do drydock around here. Vancouver/Victoria and Seattle. Victoria did three cruise ship drydocks this past spring.

Well the gap will throw out any thoughts of doing the last Alaska cruise and then LA repo like some have talked about doing.

Someone mentioned prices... Have they been posted somewhere? That will be a huge factor in us deciding to go or not...

I think starting price for the Alaska ones is $939US. Prices will be posted on Sept. 28th. However, the DIS mods are hoping the lucky smucks who can begin booking on the 21st will let us lower smucks know the pricing available. Supposedly a thread will be started.

The CAT's are also changing for the 2011 sailings. Haven't really look into this, but have read a bit about it. Now a tier system 11A, 11B, 11C etc. CAT 1 - CAT3 are a letter now.

Hadn't heard that about the CATs, but then I haven't been following the cruise board either.

I'm guessing that would mean that a 9 or 10 on Deck 1 would cost less than a 9 or 10 on Deck 2?? Something like that?
