According to Barnes & Noble, who is selling a 75th Anniv. edition of the complete tales of Winnie the Pooh,
"In 1926, the world was introduced to a portly little bear named Winnie-the-Pooh. "

I'm not a Pooh aficionado, though, and they could be wrong.

hmmmmmm seems I need to do some research here..........I am thinking Disney introduced Pooh in the 60's but Milne originally wrote the stories in the 20's? Not sure.......

You are correct Dar. Although Disney did not make Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree until 1966 the original story that the featurette was based on was first published in 1926.

you need to study up on your pooh facts. Pooh was around along time before Disney found him. Shame, shame, shame ! Only kidding....you can't know everything.
