How hard is it to gat a villa at Vb?

I was wondering how hard it was to get a villa at VB when your home is BW?I know that we would have to wait until the 7 month window. Has anyone ever been able to do this in April? Any ideas?
We are decideing between TV & a combo VB & BW.

I booked exactly at the 7 month window for a 2 bedroom at VB during Aderture Season. I got the last one, and kept my fingers croosed, as I had to book each day seperatley. We also (last year) tried to rent a studio with no luck. This seems like a difficult one for availability. We even considered an add on there to possibly solve this. Good Luck!

What do you think about the days around Memorial Day - I'd need to use the 7 month window (OKW is home) is this generally out of the question for me?

I have not tried to book VB on Memorial Day, but I believe it is Choice Season. Perhaps I just booked at the wrong moment in time (although I did get my first choice). I guess the only way to really know is to try. Good Luck!

We've been trying to book at VB for Memorial Day weekend, before the weekend, after the weekend, 1 bdr, 2 bdrm . ..

We were EXTREMELY flexible and it was just no go. I would have taken almost any room either before or after our WDW trip but VB was completely sold out except for a studio on one end with a garden view, which we wouldn't have fit into. That resort is apparently very popular near Memorial Day.

We were able to book a 2BR for early June at VB 7 months out....didn't call day by day. Two of our 5 nights were available immediately; I booked the other nights on cash, and put myself on the waitlist for those, and they came through at 6 months out.

We have some non-DVC member friends, and they booked a 2BR on Cash just under 6 months out.

We tried for a 2BR this past April.
Booked at 9am on day 1 of the 7 month window.
Only got 3 days and didn't get those until 4 days before we left.
Next April may be even worse due to where Easter falls (4/20) and sprin break for Mass, RI, etc (week of 4/20).
You might have better luck if you're trying for early April.

We'll be trying to get back to VB next Feb/Mar.

We tried to get a 1BR for June 29- July 5th, at the 7 month window(hadn't bought at VB yet.......but did buy in Jan:D ) and we had to settle for 4 nites in a 1BR, and the last 2 nites in a studio:( , we were put on a waitlist for the 1BR, It never came through as of last week so we decided to spend the last 2 days at OKW in a 1BR, we like the extra space:D , and we will be closer to the airport for our flight home.;)

Corbs, our spring break 2003 also fall on the 4/20 week yuck!WHY I as myself and then remember i work for the school district which means things don't have to make sense! I have thought about February break but we are skiers and that time is called for. And the kids don't think they are spoiled!
