I decided to redeem my Airmiles for Disneyland parkhopper tickets for our early November trip, but still need to collect more airmiles to have enough for all the tickets. Just wondering how long it took people to receive their tickets so I know what my cut-off date should be to order to get them in time?

I ordered Universal tickets on a Saturday, and received them the following Thursday. My mom ordered the same tickets one day earlier, and received them two weeks later. I live in northern GTA, and she lives in the Niagara region. Your location may be a factor too.

Last year when we ordered our seaworld tickets it took about a week and a half to calgary. I think it definately depends on where you order from!

I'm from B.C. (I just updated my profile!) and based on your replies it sounds like maybe I can order about 2-3 weeks before I need them to be safe. I need all the time I can to collect enough airmiles for all the tickets (did a big Safeway shopping trip today!). I'll redeem for what I can and if I don't have enough for the last ticket I'll just buy that one from the Disney site I guess.

I hope they will be delivered by courier. Will Airmiles let me know when they've shipped the tickets and tell me the tracking number for the delivery?

No.....but you can pay for expedited service which is delivery within 2 weeks. The charge is around $35.

When I ordered my passes I only had 14 days until my departure and the AM agent told me not to bother with the extra charge for delivery. She said they almost always arrive in 7-10 days. I received them 5 days after ordering.

I have a related question...

I just ordered my disney tickets from airmiles yesterday evening and still no confirmation email from them. I got a transaction number and they deducted the account according to the website. Should I be worried? I can't call till I get home today.

I'm in BC too - I ordered Universal tickets two Saturdays ago and received the tickets via Canada Post ExpressPost (with our regular mail delivery) 5 days later.

I don't think so, but I did print out the confirmation page when I made the transaction. I wouldn't worry if you didn't get an email confirmation, honestly. If your airmiles are gone, then the transaction went through kwim? It can take up to a week for your transaction history to update, so don't panic if your redemption doesn't show up immediately.

Enjoy your Disney tickets! I hope your tickets are bigger in size than the Universal one - they're teensy LOLOL

I've never received an type of confirmation from AM. Unless they told you to expect one then I wouldn't worry about it.

That's great news! I'm glad everything worked out OK. I'll wait a couple more weeks then order my tickets.

Just wondering, did you order Disney World or Disneyland tickets? If they're Disneyland tickets, is there a value printed on them? I was planning on upgrading the tickets and heard that Disney will apply the value on the ticket to the upgrade, so I'm wondering what value Disney applies to Airmiles tickets (I'm getting both child and adult tix) -- I'm hoping it'll be the gate price!

These are Disneyworld tickets. I ordered 4 3day pass no exp. There is no value printed on these ones and have never ordered Disneyland tickets, so can't say. Sorry.

But I too plan on upgrading mine when I arrive in Disney and from searching these great boards every one says the same Disney applies the face value of the ticket you have on hand no matter what discount you got on them.

Someone else said just look up what tickets you are ordering from airmiles on the actual Disney website to get the value of the tickets then look up the price of the tickets you want to upgrade to and subtract. You will know what you have to pay in difference. I have really only been concentrated on Disneyworld so it may be worth a phonecall to Disneyland planners to confirm it can be done there as well. It wouldn't make any sense if one park allowed it and another didn't.

Good luck with the upgrades:thumbsup2

Thanks for the information! I am going to be contacting Disneyland to make sure there won't be any problem upgrading the Air Miles tickets. If I find out anything different, I will be sure to post.
