I love Theme Parks, like all of you. But I can’t enjoy half of the parks because I’m to nervous to ride any of the thrill rides.

If I can get the courage to get on the ride, I’m fine and love it. But it’s the getting on that’s the hard part.

Has anyone ever tried Hypnotherapy for ride Anxiety? I have been reading a lot about it online and just wonder if anyone has tried it.

I would love to be able to ride all the rides and not get sick to my stomach waiting in line.

Thanks

If I were that anxious, I would absolutely try it! I never have, but I once met a hypnotherapist and she seemed quite nice and normal and serious.

In the meantime, have you ever used Rescue Remedy? It's sort of homeopathy, one of the Bach's Flower Essences. There is a spray, drops, or a cream, and you can use any of them. I do on occasion get very anxious about nothing, and it calms me right down. Works on kids and pets, too. It's about $15, most grocery stores are carrying it now (used to be just a health food store thing), and it's worth a try, IMO.

Bumbershoot: I just placed an order online for Rescue Remedy. Have you noticed any side effects?

I know someone that did that for food aversions and it worked. But hypnotherapy does not work for everyone though.

I'm going to Magic Mountain here in a couple of weeks, and they have some BIG... BIG Roller Coasters. I am quite nervous. Im scared to death of hights. But, I would never get hypnotized to take care of it. I'm just going to suck it up, go, and prey to God that the coaster doesnt fall apart while Im on it. :scared1:

Whatever your choice, goodluck! :hippie:

Oh Great, I'll have to try that, I know the only way I'll probably ever go on Splash Mt. again is for someone to give me a tranqualizer before so that is the next best thing! :lmao:

Or Pot! :thumbsup2 Seriously though, the anxiety is the best part of the ride! To get the butterflies in your stomach and have them eaten by the adrenaline is soo much fun!
