Well cheer practices and try outs for the 2002-2003 year have started!! this is my LEAST favorite time of the year. I was on JV my first year, last year i was on Varsity, and i dont feel the need to try out again!!! there are like 60 girls trying out, and by next week 20 of them will have stopped going to the practices. Well just wondering if anyone else is tired of trying out year after year? when you know your gonna make the squad/team anyways?? im not trying to sound like im the best or anything, but i just know im going to make it!

p.s: anyone else doing cheer this year or has done it in the past? if so what do you have to do to try out? for my high school, what you have to do it:
*toe touch
*optional jump
*cheers and chants taught at practices
*dance
*a made up cheer

well atl east you know you are going to make it!

just pratice hard and you will have no problems! :)

We don't have cheer's at our school. I wish we did though.

I have never tried out for Cheerleading, but I did try out for our dance line w/ the band for football games. I was soo nervous, but I did make it and I am soo happy!

Hey, I know how you feel. I had to tryout for my dance team in highschool every year when in the end once you tryout the first time you basically have it for the next four years. It still is stressfull going tru the procedure especially when you know that the coaches are looking even harder to see if you still got what it takes. Good luck and don't forget to smile and like my mama always said to me...don't forget to point your toes!

i tried out last year and i made it all we had to do was a toe touch, a cheer we learned at the practice, and a cartwheel
it was easy but i was so nervous
