Directly in front of the theater on Yonge Street is Baton Rouge http://www.batonrougerestaurants.com/
Also there is a Moxie's on the same block http://www.moxies.ca/
The Keg is in the Sheppard Centre at Yonge and Sheppard http://www.sheppardcentremall.com/
There is a Novotel nearby that has a restaurant called Cafe Nicole http://www.novotel.com/novotel/fichehotel/gb/nov/0910/fiche_hotel.shtml
Milestones in Empress Walk is a block north on Yonge on the east side.

I guess it boils down to how much money you want to spend. We like Baton Rouge for special occasions, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Moxies and Milestones are good too. Certainly there's a lot of restaurants to choose from in that area.

Mezza Note is just down the street - same side a little further north and it's quite good - Italian food.

For future reference:
If you join Dancap's Customer Appreciation Program (You can become a Bronze member for free), you can get up to 20% off food at select restaurants near the Elgin/Winter Garden theatres, and Toronto Centre for the Performing Arts. Plus, you collect points. I've gotten $20 off tickets so far just for going to their shows.
Also, Dancap does catering before the show at the Centre (depending on the performance). It was $25 for a prix fixe menu when I went and they had very good food. Plus, it was nicely timed to make sure you're on-time for the show.
