Dining Plan discounted for DVCers?

We are renting points to stay in a Beach Club Villa for 10 days in May. I saw somewhere that Disney Vacation Club members get the dining plan for $1-$2 cheaper per day. Is this true and if so do renters of points get that discount passed on?:confused:

Never heard of the dining plan being cheaper for DVC members. It was a big deal that we were even allowed to purchase it - and we've always purchased it at regular price to my knowledge. No idea what they're doing for 2009 though as I haven't bought the plan since 2007.

Not that I aware. We have always paid the same rate as other guests.

Nope, DVC members don't get a discount on the DP (none of them). DVC members do get some discounts on meals, but you need to be a member (and have the membership ID).
