By popular request. And yes the photos were taken before any of it was eaten.

Amuse Bouche. Don't ask me what all that stuff is.

TDC Nala, thanks so much for posting these pictures. It all looks delicious ... even the lamb which I don't usually care for. And I love the amuse bouche ... why eat one when you can have four? :rotfl2:

Edited to ask: Was the foie gras still on the menu when you were there?

I don't care for it either, that is why it is my friend's lamb and not my lamb.

If my friend's name was Mary I could type that Mary had a little lamb. But his name is not Mary. And "Bruce had a little lamb" just sounds wrong. (None of my other friends got the lamb but their names aren't Mary either)

And four amuse bouche in one! :yay: I'm hoping next time for the Hollywood Squares of amuse bouche.

Great review and pics. Those desserts look heavenly - the rest of it is just a little bit too fussy for me.

That looks great!!! We are also going next month (for the first time) and I can't wait. We wanted the Chef's Table but had to wait list for that. Is it true you can get the Chef's Table menu in the main dining room also?

Thanks.

Thanks for posting these pictures! We've been to the V&A's Chef's Table once, in 2001, and are about to return to the main dining room next month.

One question - pardon my ignorance - but how does one eat the cheese course? With a knife and fork? How about the grapes served with the cheese course? (I would know what to do at a cocktail party, but I don't think I've ever had a cheese course at such a formal restaurant before. ;) )

We wanted the Chef's Table but had to wait list for that. Is it true you can get the Chef's Table menu in the main dining room also? Not sure. We've done the CT twice, and both times we had dishes that were not offered in the dining room; though we saw dishes for the dining room that we did not have.

Anyway, thanks for the pictures and the review!!

That's great. Do you have to notify them in advance that you would like the CT menu? If so, how far in advance?

We were told be the maitre'd that you could order the Chef's Table menu in the dining room. He did say that they need advance notice of a few days. You can always call the restaurant and confirm how far in advance they would like to know.

All looks GREAT!!! We love V&A!!! Only 33 more days!!! The only mistake according to my DH is that you didn't order that carmelized banana gateau....it is so wonderful!!!! And none of the other courses look familiar....which makes me twice as excited!!!

You haven't lived unitl you've eaten at V&A!!! I feel sorry for those who don't think the pics look FANTASTIC!!!!

For those in the know, DH and I recently ate at Charlie Trotter's in Chicago. While the experience was fantastic, the food just didn't compare. V&A all the way!!!

I asked when I booked if I could do the CT menu and was told I couldn't, was going to ring the restaurent but didn't get round to it. I was in WDW from the saturday with a meal at Narcoossee's on the sunday and my meal at V&A on the thursday so as I was there early I went in and asked. When I got back to my room there was a message on the phone saying I could have it, it was well worth the money and I can't wait to do it again :cool1:

I miss Victoria and Alberts! It was the best $400 we ever spent. It was also our honeymoon so when else would you be able to justify spending that much. I didn't get to take pictures of everything but it was great to see yours to remind me of that amazing meal. For those who say it doesn't look appealing I have to be a bit judgmental in their knowledge of true fine dining. VA is fine dining it it's peak. The presentation is great but subtle, the flavors are amazing. The melon soup with sour cream AMAZING! We did the wine pairings too which where phenomenal and it was nice to have a waitress and waiter (you have two people serving you) who knew the food , knew what and how the wines matched in flavor and the regions. the harp player was great too not to mention the bathrooms. Ok I'm a little obsessed with VandA and I'm hoping that I can go again when we go again. It was a great experience!!

I want to do the chefs table for or Magical Gathering for all the couples. How much is it $650 for the entire table? You can have up to 12people though yes?

No, it's priced per person, so you don't get a discount with more people. Last time we were there it was $165 per person and an additional $70 per person for the wine pairing.

I think that might be the Chef's Domain details for Citrico's.
As someone else said, it's priced per person at V&A.
