We leave Saturday :) I think (having some faith!) that we'll be okay, I think Ike will not effect us much. I expect some rain but everytime we've gone to WDW, we've had RAIN pretty much daily :) I'm fine with that!!!

:tinker: You're going to be fine! Ike will turn northeast before hitting the peninsula. You'll have rain, but we always do this time of year!

:goodvibes Happy Vacation!

pixiedust: This is for all of you that have to fly down next week. I am a little concerned about Ike. However I would rather hunker down at Disney than at home. I honestly think if we get anything it will be rain and I will have the ponchos ready! SEE YOU ALL NEXT WEEK!

We'll be down there 9/10-9/15. Predictions for Ike seem to be getting further south of Florida.

A little more Pixie Dust for all of us for good measure!!

We will be there the 13 -19. It looks like we may get wet. Maybe the crowds will be even lighter.

I have a pen pal/friend living in Lakeland. She and I are both HUGE Dallas Cowboys fans (which is how we met) and she trys to come to Texas as often as possible to see our Cowboys play.
Our trip is scheduled for 9/12-9/20 and we're really, really concerned! Not so much about the Magic Kingdom weather but GETTING THERE! Current track is showing Ike taking dead aim for Houston/Galveston area. We fly out of Houston Friday at 1:30 PM. HELP!!!! To make matters worse, DH is a county official and on the H/G Area Hurricane Prepardness Comm. which means he'll HAVE to stay here. Making the trip with daughter, son-in-law and 2 granddaughters and will be the 2 year olds first Disney vacation. He's as anxious as I am to see her reaction and we'll all be heartbroken if "Pappy" can't be with us. While I'd enjoy a room to myself for a day or so, don't know if I could get him off my mind! Conference calls will start tomorrow so we'll hopefully know a little more then. He wants us out of town if Ike is headed to Texas but sure will be hard to tell him "bye" if we have to go without him!:guilty:

Hopefully there will be no hurricanes the week of 9-19 until 9-28. This is my families first time going and I would like it to be memorable.

WooHoo..It looks like we have dodged Ike for our vacation. I pray Texas and Louisianna are ok. weather.com says there is a good chance of rain during the week of Sept 13 - 19th. Anywhere from 20% to 60% depending on the day. I know Disney is still fun if its raining. I just don't like wearing ponchos.
