I reservered a room through value trips for the Country Inn and Suites, calypso cay and I have a question. Can you cancel reservations through value trips without a cancellation fee? I am having second thoughts, I am afraid that it is too far away as we are doing Universal only. Maybe I should book something closer to Universal, this is for our first night only before we check into HRH and I thought that the kids might like the pools. Do you know when value trips sends you an e-mail confirmation, I sent in the information about 8 hours ago and I have not heard anything. Usually you get an e-mail confirmation right away.

Thanks,
Sharbear

It took me two business days to get a comfirmation. I made my ressie on a Fri. and did not hear from them until Tues. They must not work on the weekends. I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think there is a fee to cancel.

Thanks I am going to cancel this reservation because I got the Fairfield Inn for $18 a night through Priceline. Couldn't pass up a bargain like that.

WOW!! I don't blame you for cancelling Country Inn. That's a great price. I've thought about trying priceline but isn't it set up for couples, not families with more than two members?

You are exactly right. They only guarentee room for 2 although there was a big discussion about this on bidding for travel. People seemed to agree that in Orlando they have not had any trouble getting a room with two double beds because Orlando is so family oriented. In all of the times that I have stayed in a Priceline room I have always had a room with 2 beds or a king bed and a sofa bed. But in case I do get a room with one bed we alway pack our portable cots. I have a pre-teen boy and girl and we always bring these beds with us so they don't have to sleep in the same bed. My son is a boy scout so we have these cot anyways and they are really nifty. They fold up into a bag that is 3 foot long and about 3 in. wide. They are very comfortable, if fact the kids would rather sleep on the cots than in a hotel bed.
