I just received a flyer for Dlps Halloween season.

It was had the intended effect and made me think that it might be nice to squeeze a trip in before the year ends.:yay:

So I went online and looked at prices during November. I'm not too interested in the Halloween things anyway and November is much cheaper.

I might take my 3 children by myself. They are 10, 8 and 6. The 8 year old is autistic, but he managed well last April when we went. The special pass was very helpful!

Since I would be on my own, I would much prefer the convenience of the Disneyland Hotel. We stayed at the Sequoia Lodge last time, which was nice, but it rained and was cold when we went and it'd be so nice to have a warm room to retreat to close by.

Also, as it was so cold and wet when we went before, mainly as we hadn't packed warm enough clothes, I reckon we could handle the all to expected cold of November, with thermal underwear and hats and gloves!

Have any of you visited during the winter? Any tips?
TIA
Sharon

Well firstly I think Sequoia is one of the cosiest hotels in winter with the big fire roaring.....

As for tips - lots of layers and things you can peel off. We've been before and been in tshirts in November but other times been in thick coats so that would be my top tip.

As soon as you get beyond the first week in November it is Christmas season anyway so you can see all the magic that Disney bring to Christmas (is it 8th it starts I think)

Hi Ruthiebabie, I have read about the lovely open fires at SL. But I think this time, the relatively low price of the DLH and the utter convenience of having a retreat close to the action, will swing it for me.

I'll do what you say about layers though! I'll pack for the worst and have a pleasant surprise if it's OK!

And wow, it'd be so cool to see the place decorated for Christmas!
