Thank you for that comment Heather. I have to do my good mornings as soon as I get to work. Then I actually work for a while. Not because I want to. I will miss chatting with you while you are gone too. You will have to get an Iphone or internet on your phone so you can keep up. I have an Itouch and it does wifi. You just have to find where it is free. Get packing

Since I haven't read the whole thread, is it still a surprise?? How do you do it??!!
Happy packing and I look forward to seeing how your trip goes.

Hey Heather,
Thanks for thinking of my kids-that's very sweet of you...
I was thinking...I'd love to be able to do the Half Marathon in 2011-January right?
I wonder if I would be able to get in shape for it if I started training now...
(I am out of shape (weight) although I did start a little weight training in the summer-I've stopped over the past 3 weeks but I miss it and I need to start some excercise...what better inspiration...than running in Disney...
hmm I wonder if 15 months is enough time-it seems like with a little commitment and dedication it might just be possible...
I have to talk to someone more informed about these things but if I can manage to do it...I'd love to run it...I think it would be awesome...
hmmm....you've given me something to focus on that is exciting and self improving-I'm going to have to do some research...

Heather,
Your surprise plans sound a lot like the one that we did when we surprised Hunter. I made sure that he had all kinds of PSP games and the portable DVD player out the closer we got to Disney World. I really lucked out when he fell asleep for about 75 miles!
Go get your packing done while you have the chance. We'll be here when you have the time.
Lisa
It would be awesome if they fell asleep at about an hour out or so. Christian might actually do that. It would be close to the time he takes a nap at school (which I normally do NOT like-he'd stopped taking naps but they have "naptime" at school and he always falls asleep-which means he never wants to sleep at night :headache:). Will might just fall asleep too, which would be great. But if not, hopefully they will be so engrossed in technology they won't notice anything outside their windows. I know. Bad Mommy. But it's just this once, right? ;)
Your trip is close now! TAKE ME WITH YOU! :goodvibes
We'll miss you while you're gone. I've said it before, but I'm really looking forward to the TR that will follow! :woohoo:
You can come. But you have to bring Mitchell. He can play with Christian.
I hope my TR will live up to your expectations.

:welcome: Kathy! It's so nice to have you here. :) Mine may be almost as long as yours...but you still have almost two months to go before your trip and I only have a couple of days! Yours will be legendary by the time your trip gets here. Thanks for coming over. :goodvibes
Have a great day!!!
fun packing hope you were able to get a great deal done today!:thumbsup2
Yeah, a great deal done. Not. I did get all of the kids' clothes pulled except their socks. Most of it is not actually in the suitcase, but it is in my room laying on top of the rest of our stuff. I ended up only having about half an hour to work on it. I've already told Will I won't be able to eat lunch with him tomorrow (I did today and I will on Thursday). As soon as I finish running I'll be back here working on actually getting stuff in suitcases. Mine will have to go last since I have to wear half of it the next couple of days. It will have to be washed Thursday. The kids have so many clothes they aren't even going to miss the shorts, pjs, and underwear I pulled. I only grabbed one or two shirts that aren't brand new Disney shirts. I think they have about 10 each, so we should be covered. You guys need to MAKE me pack tomorrow!

Ginny, I got your wine today. Thank you! :goodvibes I can't wait to try it (or should I let it "age" more ;) ).
I doubt I'll be able to check in. I have a "web-enabled" phone, but we do NOT have a "web-enabled" plan, which means if I were to get online it would cost a LOT of $$$ and Matt and I are on my parents cell-phone plan (cheaper to do the "family" plan), so I'm not about to run up the bill. I don't have a laptop. My DSi can get on the internet, but only if I can find WiFi that is free. If I manage to find it, I'll check in for a minute, but I'm not counting on it. I really wish I did have something. I want to apply for the Mom's Panel and I'm afraid it will be full by the time I get back. I can't apply before we leave because right now I haven't been in the last 12 months, which is a requirement. So hopefully I can do it when I get home.
I haven't got to read your whole TR, but I just wanted to comment on your boys books. Great job! :thumbsup2 They are going to love them.:thumbsup2

:welcome: and :thanks: very much. I'm not sure if you got there, but I made a book for myself first (it doesn't have any Disney in it at all-yet-it's just "travel" themed), then decided it would be fun to make them for the boys. It took a long time, but I'm really happy with them.
Yes, it is definitely still a surprise (although I don't know if you saw where we aren't taking Will's friend anymore-so it's just my boys). I'm not really sure how I've kept it a secret this long. I'm just so excited to see their faces. It helps that they are totally clueless. The 4 year old hasn't gotten any hints Matt (DH) has dropped and the 7 year old is just totally CLUE LESS. I mean, if I saw all the stuff we have around the house and heard half the conversations he's heard, I'd be asking a lot of questions. And it's not that he's just keeping it to himself. He would be asking 100 questions if he had any clue at all. So I'm really excited to see what happens when we get there and they figure it out. Plus all the little surprises I have planned. It's going to be a lot of fun. :yay:

As far as I know the Marathon and Half Marathon has always been in January. I'm out of shape (the same as you) too and decided one day in June when I was a little worried about something that was nothing that I was going to do something at least. I got the bright idea to run the Donald while I was out running a couple weeks ago. I could never be ready by 2010 (and the Donald is closed anyway), but I think I can be ready by 2011. I've already told my family and I'm really excited about it. I have no idea what I'm doing as far as "training". I basically just run every day I can M-F. I'm going to try a 5K in October if I can find one around here. I'll probably try to get some more serious information after I get back, but I'm not planning to run to win, I just want to finish.
I'm doing it for exactly the same reason you said...to give me something to focus on that is exciting and self improving. Gives me something to look forward to every time I'm out there.
I've heard it's really fun. We get to run through the parks (the Donald is mostly MK and a little part of EPCOT. The whole Marathon goes through all four, but I'm not up to 26 miles in the near future).
It would be a lot of fun to work on it with somebody. :)
Hope the kids had a good day at school and you're having a good evening!

Oh, and Disney called me today to confirm that we need 5 rooms for our group and who was in the rooms. I told them that we wanted Alligator Bayou and she said she'd put it down but we probably wouldn't get it because we don't have any groups of 5 and they have to save those rooms for people who DO have groups of 5. Darn it! I told her she could just give US Alligator Bayou and put everyone else in the Mansions. She thought I was joking. UGGG. So they really ARE going to put all 5 rooms together. Is it awful that we were hoping they wouldn't? I can't decide who I want to be next to. My parents I guess. My nephew is teething (and apparently has a virus, though he should be over it by then) and we do not want to hear crying all night (we did our turn). Oh well. At least we'll be in Disney, right? :upsidedow
not awful, just honest :)
It is good to know though on a purely selfish level. If our group grows any larger then those rooms that sleep 5 are one of our back up plans. If it makes you feel any better we all hope our group stays at 9, which is a little crummy of us. But honest.
The books are adorable!
And thank you for sharing the belt loop frenzy. DS9 was was able to do several at camp last summer, (thankfully since we didn't make it this summer) but his pack only does one event at a time. The boys would love that! Great idea and I will pass it on.

Heather, Sorry for the hijack I'm about to do. I hope you don't mind, but we're all friends here right:goodvibes
15 months is definitely enough time if you're committed and accept you probably won't run the whole thing, but will have to do some sort of run/walk combo. I'd start out with the couch to 5K program (google it) and then after you've done a 5K look towards longer distances. Marathoning for Mortals is a great book with lots of great advice and running plans. Disney races are tons of fun! As you know I'm doing the half in 2010 and my plan is to do the full in 2011. It would be so much fun if both you and Heather decided to do it. We could do a DIS meet sometime that weekend:goodvibes Anyway, if you want any more info PM me and I'll give you my advice and experiences (but remember you usually get what you pay for);) Good luck!

Yeah, we really did want to stay on our own. We live with my parents, so I was hoping for a bit of a break. Doesn't look like it's going to turn out that way, but we'll manage. It is Disney after all!
Will's pack only pretty much does one thing at a time too. The frenzy gives them a chance to actually "get" something at the first Pack meeting and it gives the boys in the district a chance to get the BB and Archery belt loops which you can only get at certain things. The frenzy is a District-wide event (I think) so there are usually quite a few people there. It is fun for them. :)

Now you know that you are free to hijack at any time. :goodvibes This is actually some good info for me too. I'm going to have to check out that book. I haven't actually done any research at all. I've just kind of done like Forrest Gump and started running. :rotfl: I really need to start doing some research myself when I get back.

I never thought my PTR would get this long. The chatter does have a lot of good stuff, but you'll probably get the gist of it just reading the updates. I probably should have done some links at the beginning, but I don't have time now. ;) Thanks for reading though. I hope it's somewhat interesting! :thumbsup2

Good evening Ginny. Obviously I haven't made it here all day. Thanks for my "good morning" though. ;) I will pass along your hug and kiss. Any excuse works for me. :thumbsup2
I am quite sure the wine will be excellent. I'm trying to decide what to save it for. Or if I want to just go ahead and open it. After we get back, of course. I don't want to risk bringing it.
I'm working on the packing. Gotta get it done tomorrow so we can load the car on Thursday. Can't BELIEVE it's almost Wednesday!
Hope you have a great day at work tomorrow!

I can't believe my ticker says 2 days either. Even though it's really 3. Or 2.5. :rotfl: We are leaving awfully early on Friday. It's necessary to get through before the traffic starts though.
Wow. Two days.

Well, as Mel so kindly mentioned, we only have TWO DAYS left. Can't believe it. SO not ready. Well, kinda ready. I'm working on it.
Today my friend came over to "meet" Jordan and Bailey. Bailey fell in love with her and her older son in about a tenth of a second (Bailey loves everybody). Jordan growled but also allowed petting. She's such a booger head. Hopefully there won't be any problems, but I don't think there will be. Mel (my friend, who ironically has the same name as my DISfriend, though they are short for different things. This Mel is short for Melissa, while MICKEY4EVER! Mel is short for Melody-bet you all already knew that! :rotfl:) has a lot of experience working in vet offices, so hopefully she won't have any major problems. As long as Jordan EATS. She still isn't eating much and it's not unusual for her to go on a hunger strike when we go out of town. Hopefully that doesn't happen this time. She's still too skinny. :sad2:
I packed the boys' suitcases today. I decided to use a small suitcase for each of them so I don't have to figure out what belongs to who when we get there. I'd already pulled out their clothes, so it didn't take long. Matt already has his pulled, but not packed. I haven't even pulled mine because most of what I'm bringing (other than shirts) either needs to be washed, or will be worn in the next couple of days. I'm gonig to have to wash all my stuff (including my running stuff) on Thursday and then pack that afternoon. The other stuff is all together, but not packed. I'll do that tomorrow. I had to go to the post office today before I picked the boys up (and after Mel and Joey came over) so I didn't get as much done as I wanted to. I actually packed the boys' suitcases with them in the house (upstairs) just to get it done. I kept being afraid they'd walk in on me, but they didn't.
The Cub Scouts are going hiking on Saturday and I was waiting for Will to ask if we were going, but he never did. I would have used his baseball game for an excuse but I didn't have to. Now I'm (secretly) hoping their games will get rained out so they can be there for the make-ups, but it's okay if they're not.
My dad said that Will asked him some question yesterday (or the day before) about where he was "going" but my dad managed to not really answer. Hopefully he's not getting suspicious. He hasn't said anything to me anyway. I'm so hoping we can keep them from figuring it out on Friday!
Just TWO more days!
I'm so glad tomorrow is Matt's last day of working days. I'm really tired of getting up and bringing him to work. I mean, I'm literally TIRED. Which means I should get to bed. I'll be back tomorrow with any updates (if there are any). Hope you all have a great night...
...TWO DAYS!!! :woohoo::yay::cool1::cheer2::banana::dancer:party: :jumping1:
Oh, I almost forgot! I got an email from Universal tonight about The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It's opening in SPRING 2010!!! I am STOKED! That means it will be open when we go in June. I can't even tell you in words how excited I am. Almost as excited as the fact that I'm going to Disney World in TWO DAYS! Almost.

Yeah, the kids are packed! I swear that's always a load off my mind when it's done.
2 days!!!! And it's still a surprise. I love that!!
You won't be in the same room as your folks though right, just the same building? I need my space and I don't live with them. When we were on a recent tournament trip my FIL and his wife ended up in building on the other side of the hotel from ours. It was a lovely thing. Close, but not TOOOO close. I can relate.

Twooooooooo days! At least you got the boys stuffed packed. That's one thing, well, two things you can check off your list. I am pretty lucky in that I have to wear dress clothes during the day so I can pack up all my Disney clothes ahead of time because I don't wear them every day. But, I always seem to wait until the last day to pack mine and John's clothes.
Lacey used to play softball and her coaches didn't like it when she missed a game or two while we were in Disney. They just had to get over it. Maybe you'll have the rain-outs you are wishing for and the kids will still get to play in the make-up game(s).
Have fun today!

We will most definitely NOT be in the same room as my parents. But since we're all booked as a Grand Gathering they are going to try to put our rooms together. So they might be right next door. And if they aren't right next door, my brother with the 8 month old who has yet to sleep through the night might be right next door. :headache: I'm hoping we're the end of the group. And that my SIL's mom is next door to us. We'll deal. We're going to be in Disney, right?
As far as HP it sounds like they were waiting until they were sure it would open next Spring before the made the announcement. There weren't any live pictures, but it sounds like it's pretty much done. I am SO excited (should I say that on the Disney boards...oh yeah. Guess I can. Since I'm irritated about the Fantasyland expansion and it's catering to girls, so I'm fine with saying how excited I am about Harry Potter... :snooty:).

I am pretty close at this point. I'm ready to admit it. It does kind of seem like it's gone fast. Now that it's almost here. It didn't seem like it while I was waiting. ;)
Thank you for the advice. I will keep it in mind. You'll be there with me in spirit.

I'm glad I have the boys' stuff packed. That helps. I will get as much of mine and Matt's stuff packed as I can tonight, after he gets home. He wants to load the car while they are in school tomorrow, so I need to get packed tonight. We'll probably just go ahead and do some laundry. In fact, I think I'll start some in a minute. I don't think I've ever even been this ready at this point. ;)
Tony has pretty much been at the hospital every day for the last two weeks. His dad is still hanging in there, though not much has changed. He's pretty much handed the team over to the assistant coach. Because it's fall, nobody is too upset that we will be gone. Next summer when we go, he will probably miss an All Star tournament. They won't be thrilled then. They'll get over it. I will be planning the trip to make sure we don't miss District. That's the best I can do. ;)
Have a great trip. can't wait to find out how you all get on! How exciting!

:snooty:).
I will send SOLID WALL vibes to you! I can relate, supposedly my MIL's DH is a horrendous snorer, not that I've had the occasion to hear it yet. In one villa...should be interesting!
I found this Harry Potter (http://www.wdwinfo.com/universal/parkinfo/Harry-Potter.htm) link, which links to some more info and live pics...or I googled them lol, not sure. I'm very excited about this so was poking around a bit last night and saw some great under construction pics. Somewhere. It looks VERY cool! I couldn't agree more about the fantasyland expansion, although I'll be able to talk them into Beasts castle, they love B&TB too! Although I think Kathy has a brilliant idea to convert the Indy Speedway into CarsLand...
Personally, I think it's ok to love both Universal and Disney. They couldn't be more different and it's a very different experience. Thrills versus MAGIC! All are good.

Hey Heather,
I haven't been on the boards all day-wow probably for even over 24 hours now....:lmao:
I hope I caught you before you left-your "ticker" says one day...so I just wanted to say:
That I hope you have an absolutely, perfectly magical trip
and that it is everything you want it to be
for yourself and your family...pixiedust:
Enjoy yourself and each moment...
and I can't wait to hear all about it
when you get back...
Thank you so much Patricia! :goodvibes I'm still here. That 1 day I guess is a "technical" thing. We actually leave at 6am on Friday. I'm not sure I'll make it on here tomorrow, though. Still so much to do. :) I will be thinking about all of you while I'm gone.
Thanks for the pixiedust:
WISHING YOU LOTS OF FUN! YOUR TICKER SAYS ONE DAY! :dance3:
Do you want me to PM my cell number so you can call if need be? Just kidding. You will do just fine. I'm here for you anytime tho. I'll think of you daily and vision your trip.
We will be fine. Matt and I have no problem walking away if necessary. Disney is big. ;) We are going to enjoy ourselves no matter what! :rotfl:
I think I'm going to miss you all though.

And, no, I haven't finished packing. Though I'm headed in that direction in just a minute. I have to listen to a story first for a little boy that has to take a Reading test a day early tomorrow, though he'll have no idea why. :rolleyes1

For those of you that thought once you were 1 day out from your Disney World vacation everything was set in stone...(did anyone here actually ever think that?)
we have a couple small changes.
One of my friends from Florida (who I haven't seen since we moved from there 3 year ago) texted me today and said "Are you going to Disney this weekend?" I texted back, "Yeah. The 18th-26th". She says, "What are you doing this weekend? The girls and I can drive over to see you." So I go into the whole Gator game on Saturday and a million and one people with us on Sunday. But, if you're not busy on the 26th every will have gone home. So she and her girls (ages 8 and 5) are coming over to spend the day with us on Saturday. We will probably still do Hollywood Studios EMH, depending on what time they get here, but I'm not sure about after that. We will probably end up canceling The Plaza, though I'm not sure about that either. They may just eat there with us. The kids don't really remember each other (Christian was 1 and Jacqueline was 2 when we left), but Will and Pam (the 8 year old) got along pretty well...and actually took 2 trips to Disney together. So I think they will have fun. The only thing that will be a little weird is that Julie is in the middle of a divorce and Matt was pretty good friends with her XDH. Oh well.
I still plan to leave around 5. The other change in plans is that we're going to stop in Gainesville for dinner. My best friend lives in Gainesville and we've been trying to figure out for months how we can see each other on this trip. She has Sea World passes but can't pay for Disney. We can't pay for Sea World. We're not going to be at DTD for a long enough span for them to drive down. So we're going to stop and have dinner on the way home. At least we'll get to see her and her girls (8 and 6), who love the boys-and the feeling is mutual-for a little while. I doubt her DH will come, but Matt will live. He doesn't really know her DH anyway.
I'm looking forward to seeing both of them. :goodvibes
Now, the not-so-good news. I haven't checked the UG website BUT, my cousin that is coming just for the weekend has been trying to get a value or moderate hotel for Saturday night.
There are NONE! :scared1:
Or at least none that they will let someone have for just one night.
What do you think that is going to mean for crowd levels?
Yeah, I'm not thinking it's such a great thing either.
I guess we'll see.
Okay, I have to go read with Will and then work on some packing. I'm sure I will be on a little tomorrow, though I don't know how much. Probably mostly tomorrow night.
Hope you all have a great day tomorrow and anyone that doesn't happen to be on tomorrow I hope you have a great weekend and a great week!
You are ALL a blessing to me and I'm going to have a better trip because of you!!! :grouphug:
OH! One more thing...anyone that would like a postcard, PM me your address and I'll get one to you. ;)

As you know, Lisa just had to open another Photobucket account. I hope Photobucket isn't as mean to me, but I'll have about a million pictures so we'll see.
Hopefully the rest of the trip won't be as crowded as it looks like Saturday will be. It shouldn't affect us too much. We're just doing Typhoon Lagoon Saturday morning, and then going to ESPN to watch the Gator game. We won't even get to a park (though it will be MK) until Saturday evening. Maybe crowd levels will make them want to keep MK open a little later. :thumbsup2 I can hope!

Dare I say I'm glad to be home?
I'm already missing some things though. Matt called his mom on the way home yesterday and told her to "get ready" for June. I spent half the week wondering if we were crazy to be planning a trip in June.

I know. 24 hours and the trip feels like a dream already. Yes, the boys went to school this morning. Matt and I had to take Jordan, our dog, to the vet. She's still not really eating. Then I went to Publix with my mom. When I wasn't catching up on Connie's thread.

Ok, I've decided to start a new thread and link it here, but I haven't done it yet. I uploaded my pictures (about 1500) and I've put all my Photopass Pictures in (168, I think-a lot less than last time for some reason). I still have to upload my dad's picture to my computer (which I will do tonight) and wait for my brother to put his photopass pics on the site.
I'm working on adding borders right now. I went from 20 MK pictures, to 60. I'm not sure why I do this. I added every border possible last time and I've never done anything with the pictures except let them sit on my computer. I'm not adding every border this time, but I am adding some. I have to make my photobook too. I prebought both the CD and the book.
My dad doesn't have any pictures from the first day (he wasn't there LOL), so all of those pictures are on my computer. I just need to upload them to photobucket. Hope to do that soon.
I'm hoping to have the first installment up by the end of the week...maybe sooner...but I still have all of your TRs to catch up on too! Thanks for hanging in there, everyone!

WOW! :thanks: for all of your responses. I'm not getting emails when I get these messages for some reason, or I would have been over here soon. Thank you all for sticking with me! I'm working on my Photopass pictures now (got my brother's yesterday). When I finish working on them and putting the book together and get that ordered, I'll be here. Hopefully by the end of this week. All of the pictures we took are on my computer, I just have to upload them to Photobucket.
Life is going on and kind of getting back to normal. "Normal" wasn't necessarily what I came back to. But the baseball park is getting there and we're supposed to have games on Saturday.
Tony's dad passed away yesterday, which was kind of a shock because he was getting better. The viewings and funeral are in the next three days, so we all have that added to our plate too (I know it might sound insensitive, but we won't actually make the funeral as if falls between Christian and Will's games on Saturday. We are Christian's coaches and have to be there. I talked with Will's assistant coach tonight and even though some people might not agree, we both feel that Cleveland would be ticked if we forfeited a baseball game to be at his funeral. He loved baseball as much as any of us. And he would expect us to play. I have a feeling he'll be watching the game). It's not really going to be easy for any of us who have been together so long, but we still feel like we should play. Cole, of course, won't be there. So, if anyone could send out some prayers to the Scott family, I know they would appreciate it. Especially for Tony's mom, Francis. She's having a pretty rough time of it. Everyone had kind of started thinking he might get better, but he got a clot in one of the stints yesterday and when the rushed him into emergency surgery they lost him. But we know where he is now, so that is some comfort for his family and friends. Matt was at the hospital at work and called me, but I was at Cub Scouts with Will and didn't find out until later. Anyway, sorry to bring up so much gloom. I know some of you have been following this with me.
Anyway, like I said, I hope to get started on the first installment by the end of the week, depending on whether I end up having to work tomorrow or Friday (I worked yesterday, but not today). There is still a TON of unpacking to do. I mean, the clothes are unpacked, but not put away. As usual, I brought way too much.
So thanks again for hangin' in. :goodvibes
You know we wouldn't miss your TR for the world! Take your time. We'll still be here!
Thanks so much Mel. That means a lot to me.
I will be patiently waiting. I don't have anywhere to go. Even tho I would like to. I am so sorry about all the rains in your area. They have been crazy this summer. That was an awful thing to come home to for sure.
Ginny
It was, but it could have been so much worse for us. We were very lucky. I have friends who had some damage, but we were pretty much fine. So many people in our county were out of town for the break (MANY at Disney) and some people really did come home to messes. I am very thankful.
Have patience
HAve patience
Don't be in such a hurry
When you get impatient
You only start to worry
Remember, remember
God is patient too
And think of all the times when others had to wait for you!
I am being patient! :cool2:
Isn't that from Music Machine or Bullfrogs and Butterflies? I always get them mixed up, but I loved those ALBUMS (we have them on CD now) as a kid. I know that song is familiar. If that's not where it's from, I'll have to figure it out. ;)
Welcome Home Heather! :goodvibes
Can't wait to hear all about your trip! And JUNE!!!??? LUCKY YOU! :thumbsup2
Yeah, we're supposed to be meeting some friends from an online group I'm in who all have kids who will turn 5 this June. We've been a group since we were pregnant. Except I'm not sure anyone is coming. Some don't get out of school in time and some can't afford it (not that I really can). But I'm determined to go. I want to battle 2 million people and see Harry Potter at Universal. And we're going to celebrate Christian's 5th birthday (which actually is while we are there), Will's 8th birthday (which is in March) and our 10th Anniversary (which is in April). Matt's mom is coming, supposedly, but that's the only family. I'm hoping to stay deluxe, but I have to wait and see if there are any promotions.
I think I've just revealed half of the PTR for that trip! :lmao:
Good morning Heasther. Hoping you have a good day and getting back in the routine of life.
Ginny
Thanks for the 'Good Morning' Ginny. You always make me smile. I'm trying to get back in the groove. It's not working to well. It's hard to go back to focusing on life when you've been focused on a trip as long as I have. Especially when there's still evidence of said trip all around you. ;)
Stopping by to wish a you a good day! :goodvibes
I know it's so hard to get back into the swing of things. And if you're anything like me, you're probably still having Disney withdrawals!
Definitely having withdrawls. I was ready to go last Saturday, but now I'm wishing I was back. I keep thinking "I wish I'd done that" or "I wish we hadn't skipped that" or "I can't believe I forgot to do that!" Oh well. The good thing is there's always a "next" trip.
Welcome home Heather!!!
I can't wait to hear all about your trip....:yay:
Good luck settling back into "real" life...;)

Thanks Patricia! I've SO got to get over to your TR. You're going to be done before I can get there. It's hard getting back into real life. And I feel like I have so much to do, even though I could get it done if I would just start.
Are you back to "real" life yet? How are the kids doing in school?
Good morning Heather. Hope you are having a good day. Have you gone back to your walking yet?
Yes, I went to the track today. Haven't posted on facebook yet. It was HARD. I only did 3 miles and all but one lap was walking. And that one lap was barely a jog. My mom said with all the walking I did down there you'd think it wouldn't be so hard, but it is. It's gotten COLD here too. I mean, not freezing, but it was 50 degrees the last couple of mornings. The highs have been 72. That's just a little different than the 95 it was in Disney. ;) Thanks for thinking of me!
Morning Heather,
Hope you're not suffereing too badly from the Disney withdrawals!:lmao:
Lisa
Yeah, I'm probably suffering as badly as you are. How are you holding up? I've got to get over to your TR too. I've got to be 20 pages behind! I wish I could just print the thing out and read it like a book. I probably could, actually but that would waste a ton of ink.
How is your Mom?
Okay, I'm going to head for bed. I've been going early this week. Just plain tired for no good reason. I'll be back tomorrow and hopefully I'll at least get caught up on some of YOUR TRs. Gotta finish Photopass too.
Have a good night! :goodvibes

Prayers are with Cole's family!
I agree if you show your support at the wake; he would want you to let the boys enjoy their game!
Take your time to start your TR! getting back into the swing of things is hard; I did my TR so fast thinking I needed to do it before Ashton's surgery. I did not realize that people drag it out and make it fun! Now, when I review it I think this is horrible no wonder no one wanted to read it! :lmao:
Have a great day! tomorrow and a wonderful weekend!

Heather I'm sorry about Tony's dad. That is always hard to deal with. If he were sports minded like Tony then def you need to be at the boys games. There are other events that you can show your support to him and his family.
Take care of you.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear about Tony's dad, too. Prayers for the family.
Take your time about getting the TR started. You know we can be patient when we need to be! Besides, we all know this is a can't miss adventure :yay:.

Good morning and hugs to you Heather!
I am sorry to hear about Tony's dad. I will definitely have their family in my prayers.
I don't think it sounds insensitive at all for you not to attend the funeral. I think it is a personal decision whether or not a person attends a funeral or not. I hate funerals and everybody close to me knows it. I don't want a funeral at all for myself. I told John to just build a box out of the scraps in the cabinet shop, put me in it, bury me in the backyard and tell everybody I left him. Hope that made you chuckle a little 'cause it sounds like you need a few chuckles.
We'll be here when you get a chance to start the trip report. There's no need to hurry.

Oh wow-I'm so sorry to hear that Heather...I will certainly send my thoughts and prayers out to his family and friends...
I think the way you grieve is a very personal thing...there is no one right way to do it...I think you do what you need to do-you know what's in your heart...
Gosh...don't worry about your TR-we'll all be here when you are able to get back...

Well, it's not morning anymore so Good Afternoon Heather. I have been pokey today. I just had to post on my thread a birthday wish for Austin. It turned out ok. I hope he will like it.
Have a great day. High five the boys for me.

I am sorry to hear about Tony's Dad. The loss of a parent, whether expected or not, is always hard. I will be praying for peace, comfort, and understanding for the family as they work through their grief.

Just checking in to see how you are doing, you have a lot on your plate!
Yeah, it did go fast. Funny how that works. Matt is excited to go in June because his mom is going. And the rest of my family is not. :rotfl: I'm excited because Harry Potter will be open!
we are excited about that too! June :)
I do that too with the borders..the kids really like copies of those ones so I'm glad I did.
Looking forward to hearing about your trip, when you're ready! take your time.

Thanks for hanging in there with me everyone! I so appreciate seeing your messages every day. :goodvibes I'm trying to get caught up on your TRs in between taking baby steps here.
I'm almost done with my Photopass pictures. I only have one or two of my pictures left to add stuff to, and then I have one "set" of my brothers. It's a much bigger pain to add borders and stuff to his because I don't know what he would want and I'm not adding every single border to every single picture. I think I see a light at the end of the tunnel, though.
I uploaded all the pictures from the first day to my photobucket account tonight. So I should be able to do the first installment soon...notice I said "should"...since I haven't been able to meet any of my other "deadlines" I don't want to make any promises.
I substituted three days last week and so far I've substituted every day this week (tomorrow too). Monday and Tuesday were at an elementary school near the house. Today and tomorrow were/are actually at Will's school which is the first time since he's started at this school at the beginning of last year. It's so much easier to be where he is (though he got really upset this afternoon because I didn't get to "carriders" as early as he usually gets picked up-I was talking to the regular teacher about tomorrow-and his dad parked rather than getting him on the drive-though. I'll make sure he knows I'll be a little late tomorrow).
We didn't have any "activities" tonight, so I thought I might actually get started, but I had to get all of the photos uploaded, and it took a rather long time to do Will's homework today (he had to do some work he didn't finish in class last week). Other than that, I'm really tired (fighting a cold-and not used to working every day), so I've been going to bed at the same time as the boys. Which is VERY early for me! And I haven't had my "evening" computer time.
Hopefully it will be soon though. Thanks again to you all for hanging in. I hope it's worth the wait! ;)

Okay everyone. I finally started my Trip Report. There's not much there yet, so don't get excited. Just an introduction for the 4 of us for anyone that's new. But hopefully now I'll do a better job of updating.
I've got to go see why Matt has been screaming at the TV (the 'Bama game is on) and then watch Florida beat LSU with or without Tim Tebow. I'll try to get a second installment up soon.
Thanks again for everything, guys. You know I  you all!
