Has anyone booked a stretch limo before?
My son wants a stretch hummer for his bday party to go up to London but the quotes I am getting are £400 return!
That seems rather a lot to me.... I can get a luxury coach for 52 people for £380 return!
Even the Stretch Limos are coming in at £350... - looks like we might hire a citroen picasso instead!!! haha not the same qudos i know.. but i can get one for £58!
Anyone know of the limo price is about right or am i being taken for a ride! ;):rotfl:

Thats sounds about right, when I was looking for one for my mum & dads anniversary & we were being quoted silly money.
I think the distance travelled matters too.

I guess it depends on how long you hire it for and the distance you travel.
When I hired a stretch limo for my DD's prom we got a few quotes and some were ridiculous amounts. So I phoned the taxi licensing dept at our council to get the names of any voluntarily accredited firms, there was only one so I checked they were members of the NLCA (council told me this is very important as apparently limo hire is a very dodgy area regarding non-checked drivers, improper insurance etc) and got a quote. They turned out to be the cheapest of all the quotes we had got so far. It cost us £100 for 8 people for just over an hour, some of the firms had been quoting more than double that. They would have done a return journey for £50 more (£150 total)
How many miles is it from you to London? My DD's venue was only 5 miles from our house ~ I guess distance will have a big bearing on the price.
