We got up a little later again and had breakfast at the hotel before heading back to Six Flags Magic Mountain for its opening at 10:30am. The one thing that had struck me about this park was how short the lines were. We were there on a weekend and with the exception of 2 rides all the others were walk ons. I guess there are so many coasters and water rides there that they can handle the queues. We rode X2 again, then Goliath and Deja Vous. We had wanted to ride Tatsu again but it wasn't working.

At 2:00 it was time for us to leave and drive to our next hotel, the Rennaisance Hollywood. We were given a lovely suite on a high floor

with a great view out of the window.

The suite also had a seperate dressing room and a huge bathroom.

After we unpacked we headed out of the hotel through the Hollywood and Highlands Centre.

Then we went over to the Chinese Theatre

To look at the hand a foot prints. I took loads of picture here too, it was amazing to see the prints of such famous people, Frank Sinatra, Shirley Temple, etc

Soon it was getting late again so we headed back to the hotel to enjoy the free bottle of wine that came with the room!

Mighty fancy digs! And soooooo close to everything fun on Hollywood Boulevard. I sure missed seeing that old street this trip. Your report is helping conjure up fond memories. Thank you very much.

It must seem very surreal to actually see the Hollywood letters for real ~ a bit like seeing Cinderella's Castle for the first time I suppose!
