Is there really enough time to do both? Im assuming we have the early dining. How long are the family game shows? Im thinking we would need to leave after half hour to get a seat for the nightly show.

It's tough to do both but you can; the 7:45 activities are generally over by 8:30 but you'd have to rush to get a seat for the show.

I guess that's another advantage of late dinner seating.
On our 3/23/02 Disney Magic cruise, the big shows in the Walt Disney Theatre were over at about 7:30 p.m. We then headed to a game shows in Studio Sea, or a family cabaret show in Rockin' Bar D, or a dual pianos show in Off Beat. By the way, these 7:45 p.m. shows were all very entertaining!
The shows ended in time for us to arrive at our assigned dinner table promptly by 8:30 p.m.
With early dinner seating, I could see where the Walt Disney Theatre would be be rather full by the time you arrived for the 8:30 p.m. show.
