Confused--AAA and Dining Plan with AP

Sorry if this question has been answered, but my search never told me a straight answer. Can you book a room with a AAA discount, add the dining plan, and not purchase tickets? We have APs, so we don't need tickets. And I do know this would have to be booked through AAA because it would become a package. I thought AP holders could do a room only (even with AP discounts, right?) and add the dining plan when booking with Disney, so I am assuming this can also be done? :confused:

You cannot get a AAA discount and DDP without buying tickets. You can book through AAA but it will be a passholder dining package, not a AAA dining package
