View Full Version : Best and worst TS and CS of our trip - I'm shocked myself!

Big surprises this trip as far as best and worst meals.

Best TS - Beirgarten. The food was wonderful, especially the Pork Schnitzel. Even picky DS ate that. Saurkraut was superb, too. The Bavarian cheesecake was absolutely delicious.

Best CS - Wolfgang Puck Express, Marketplace. (Set up as a CS, but pricing makes it a TS.) The food was excellent - in particular the signature BBQ chicken quesadilla (sp?). Also excellent - roast beef pocket, pasta, and BBQ chicken sandwich.

Worst TS - My eyes are welling up saying this, but it was my beloved Kona Cafe!!!! Besides DH's yummy prime rib, the food was unimpressive. DD said her mahi mahi was bland, and my pan-asian noodle dish was mushy. My coffee was good, tho!

Worst CS - Electric Umbrella in Epcot. We ate a lot of adequate burgers this trip (the weather changed some of our plans and we cancelled some ADRs) but these burgers were really greasy for some reason. The second floor, however, was deserted and a nice place to chill out.

Thanks for the report. We've never tried Biergarten but would like to. DW & I did have a good meal at WP Express a few years ago.

We're just back, too. We had dinner at Biergarten on Monday evening. It was a first time for us, too (except for my one time there years ago before it was a buffet), and we also loved it! And I know what you mean about that Bavarian cheesecake ( I actually went back for a second piece)! It was by far the best dessert of my trip!

I just started a thread on Biergarten :) While not everything is authentic, I do like it because there are enough 'real' foods on the buffet to make it worth my while. I think that it is underrated, or people may be afraid to eat there! I just wish that they had more authentic foods, but it is good as a reminder of my food when I have been away from Germany for awhile.

Thanks for posting, I agree that WPE is pretty good for Counter Service. Never tried Biergarten, although I love pork shnitzel so maybe I should :)
