it's still august...
it's just a wee bit early for me to get all excited about pumpkins and fall colors....especially considering i'm still sweltering in august heat as i type this....
the first halloween party is september 5th...only one week from today....
so they had to get the place decorated...
but it just doesn't work for my small brain....

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party starts on September 5th. That's next Friday. Where did the summer go???????

I can't wait to see all the decorations in person in a few weeks.

YAY! I'm so ready for this summer to be over and fall is my favorite season.

I'm so glad that we'll be able to see all of the Halloween/Fall decorations in person in just a couple of weeks!

WOO-HOO!

Great pictures. Only 34 days until we're in WDW to see them in person.

They are fast! We left last Sat and there wasn't a stitch of Halloween anywhere.

Now that they are "doing" Halloween earlier, I wonder if they'll start "doing" Christmas earlier. So many people want to "do" Christmas in WDW. It would be nice if they'd start decorating in early November. When you've got kids in school, Dec is so hard.

I am with you. This is too early for me. We arrive in a week and it is going to be so strange to see these decorations. :snooty:

I kinda agree. I love the decorations. But, I am still trying to figure out where the 4th of July went.

I have to agree with the above. We will be arriving on the 6th. I am still in summer mode, not ready to see the Halloween stuff just yet.

I've never done wdw for fall/halloween and would just love to!!!

They do decorate the other parks as well, right? Does anyone have pics of that? I'd love to see ALL of the halloween decorations!

I guess it just depends on your frame of mind! I am obsessed with Halloween, I start shopping mid august for decorations, and I try to have them set up some time within the first two weeks of September. Of course I continue shopping and add to it, but September 1st cannot come fast enough for me for Halloween!!

I understand why WDW might decorate early and the MNSSHP is a money maker for them. But I saw a Halloween store in a strip mall ... last week, it isn't even Labor Day yet. I'm just not ready for Halloween until at least after Labor Day (which is the end of summer in my brain)

I had asked this earlier but.....are these all the decorations that are gonna be up?

I don't mean to sound so unenthused but the only other time I saw a Disney park dressed up for Halloween was DL and it seemed like they had more. I had thought that they'd be about the same. For instance, in the middle of Main St. Disneyland had a HUGE Jack-o-lanturn Mickey that lit up at night. Also, the Mickey Mouse foliage that's right past the entrance turnstiles was replaced with white and orange pumpkins instead of flowers. Are they going to do that, too, at MK - are they only putting up SOME of the decorations now? Or is this it?

Just now I saw that they had Halloween stuff for sale at Walgreen's. It's my favorite time of year! I'm so excited!

My understanding is that this us just the beginning of the decorations (I hope!!!). I too was expecting a lot more decorations but it is still early. We're going in two and a half weeks for the Halloween party and cannot wait! I love decorating for the holidays and was just thinking as I cleaned the house this morning that I should start hauling out the decorations...better judgement prevailed and I decided to wait until we get back from Disney. ;)

Because I love decorating and the holidays so much, we're also going in about 3 months for MVMCP. It will be cool to see how quickly and how much things will change in that short amount of time. :santa:

My dream jobs would be to decorate Disney for the different holidays and plan Disney vacations. With my list making skills, I would be organized at the least! :rotfl:
