We just booked our February 4-12, 2009 trip for our stay at WL. We booked our trip with dxdp for us and our 2 and 4 year old sons. We are trying to decide if this was our best option. We prefer ts bc it allows our boys to really kindof shut down and relax for a little for our meals. Obviously with having two toddlers they love character meals. The meals we have planned out are Crystal Palace at least once if not twice (for breakfast and maybe lunch), Cinderella's Royal Table (dont ask my sons love their princesses), Chef Mickey (twice breakfast and dinner) Ohana for breakfast, Hollwood and Vine for breakfast, 50's diner, Coral Reef, Le Cellier, Whispering Canyon, and maybe Tony's. We are not big on counter service bc honestly after pushing a double stroller all day I need a break and to be served just a little bit. I think the dxdp will work out best for us or if anyone has any suggestions I am defianetly open to them
Thanks,
Sharron

Go deluxe but use some extra creativity. My daughter and I are on the 6 day, 5 night plan and we are not duplicating a single restaurant. Think of how much stimulus this trip will provide for your two year old! My daughter was two on her first trip and she & I have returned every year. Each year better than the last.

With the Deluxe Dining Plan you also get appetizers, you no longer get those on the regular plan. Plus it is three meals a day but you could just schedule two and take advantage of CRT and HDDR, and other two credit meals... plus two snacks a day and a resort mug? Can't be beat.

Belle30012,
Which other restraunts would you choose. I was looking at the hddr? Where is at again? Do you know if you can refill the resorts mugs anywhere during the day or only at your hotel? I really appreciate the advice.

The resort mugs that come with the deluxe dining plan are refillable only at your resort.

We just came back from 5 days dlx, a breather, then and 5 days ddp (during Fay).

We got a much greater bang for the buck on the dlx, and really perferred that plan to the regular, but realize that a lot of our time was done eating. We did 2 credit signature restaurants every night - this may not be feasible with your 2 boys. That and a sit down lunch every day as well. I can't imagine what it would be like to do 3 sit down meals a day! You also get 2 snacks, which we used for continental breakfasts each day.

HDDR is a dinner show (2 credits) and is located at fort wilderness. That is limited on the DDP - It may only be for the later shows and not necessarily prime seatings except for the late (9:30) show. Again, this may not be optimal for your boys.
