View Full Version : Is there any way to fix a blurry digital photo

My husband didn't realize there was a smudge/fingerprint on the lens when he took this picture. Is there any way to fix it???

The link is not working- but usually blur is tuff or impossible to correct.

it's not motion blur so I think it could be improved by Photoshop techniques (I'm not that skilled) In many retouching forums such as http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/forum.asp?forum=1006
you can post a photo and ask for suggestions and people will improve the pic - worth a try !

You can tweak it with photoshop and improve it but you will never get it perfect. I would suggest a quick fix might be to use whatever photo editing software you have and start by just sharpening the whole image as much as you need to see what the effect will be on that portion of the image... if it looks better to you that way then you can start over and using either select only the area messed up and that area only or using a sharpen brush with feathered edges to work the area...
