We have a flight that leaves at 8:00 am and I was thinking about staying at an airport hotel. I have read a little bit about park and fly. Has anyone done this? I'm a little worried about all of our luggage and using an airport shuttle in the early morning. How much extra did it cost to park your car at the hotel? :)

We did park and fly in February in Milwaukee. We stayed at a Hampton Inn, it was GREAT!! They had a breakfast included in the room too. It was $99 for the room and we left our car there for the week we were gone. The shuttle worked out good both ways too. The only down part was the morning we left, we were supposed to be on the 6am shuttle, and they called and said it was full so we had to take the 5:30, thank goodness we all got up in plenty of time so we were able to grab a quick bite before we left.

I work at an airport hotel. Newark, so it won't be of use to you. But many of our guests find this very convenient. I myself have also done it for early morning flights.
One suggestion though. As silly as it sounds make sure the hotel you are thinking of using actually offers a Park and Fly Package, and the reservation that you book is for one. I can't tell you how many guests I've had who don't quite "get" that just because we have free parking, it doesn't mean they can just leave their car in our lot when they check out with no prior arrangements.

When we fly out of O'Hare, rather than do park & fly, we find that it's cheaper to get a hotel via Hotwire and then book parking through www.airportparkinglots.com
In this area, we get a great rate for a place called Avistar through them, and I know they have lots in other cities/states too. We usually end up at the Candlewood suites, and the hotel/Avistar price comes out much cheaper than park & fly.

Park and Fly hotels are really reasonable in Denver, there are 2 that are bookable online at http://parkandfly.topcities.com/denver.html , for about $54-69 / night on the nights I checked.
