Anyone care to predict on currency change...

With the currency exchange rate dropping, anyone have any thoughts on what it is likely to do / not do - we're going late november, so plenty of time to sit on our hands before buying if necessary!

No-one can say what's going to happen,but my opinion is i can see it dropping even lower.That is why i bit the bullet+got our few $$+loaded my Fair fx card with all our holiday money for next April-done and dusted+out of the way,at $2 to the £1.x.

I did the same not going until December but I have booked my $ with Crown and got 189.87 in plymouth yesterday in M&S they where only offering 1.77

The word is it will drop even more, although I thought that was inevitable with the rates that were been offered back in January.

We travel in 5 weeks :cool1: and banked all our $ over 9 momths ago, although I accept it's not so easy on the budget having to purchase your spends so far in advance. We got 2.04$ to the pound with Crown.

I bottled out today and exchanged 1/2 out spend cash at 1.84 at a local bank. What a difference a few weeks makes!! here's hoping poor figures from the US before November. A selfish thought sorry to any US members reading:)
