I asked a question similar to this ages ago, but this one is slightly different!

We were thinking about using the iPod for the music during the ceremony, but thanks to the knowledge of others, I decided that this REALLY would NOT be a good idea for us, as doing the mixing and timing would be super difficult.

However, we DO want to use it for at least our first dance song, as it needs the words. I was told that having the setup through DFTW was $$$$$ . If we just bring a set of portable battery powered iPod speakers will it cost us little or nothing. Will they even allow that?

TIA

i'm sure they would. i looked at having the ipod set up there for like 3 seconds because it is RIDICULOUSLY expensive...

Amy,

I'm doing exactly that. I have purchased a battery operated (Bose type) mp3 player that we will be using for our VR at SBP. It is not costing us anything because I am having a guest operate it for us. If your coordinator operates it for you, then there is a cost involved. I'm an Escape now, but that was true for when we were a wishes couple also.

kinda different, but I used an ipod in Palo for our reception and the SONIC speaker system is AWESOME!! very clear sound and has a battery so no plug in needed

They sell it at Target and Apple

I know of several brides who've brought their own portable, battery-powered iPod system to SBP and it worked out great. :thumbsup2
