book BB 2009 dining for a friend if not going in 2009?

My friend is headed to WDW on Saturday for free dining 2008. She is not sure if she and her family will book a free dining bounceback package for 2009 for themselves or not. Could she book a 2009 free dining package for a friend (not on the trip) if she (my friend) will NOT be going in 2009? Thanks :)

The flyers say the offer is non-transferable. I doubt they would allow her to make a reservation in any name other than her own.

absolutely not. Whoever books the reservation must be on the reservation

True. The reservationist will check to be sure the friend going this year is actually staying onsite at the time of the reservation; therefore, if she were to try to make that reservation in somebody else's name, the somebody else would come up as NOT being onsite, therefore not being eligible for 2009 bounceback.

Thanks for the replies :). I'll pass the information on to my friend. I will be arriving at WDW in 18 days for my third free dining and plan on booking for 2009. I will be losing my job at the end if the year (after 22 years :scared1: ), so I have no idea where my life will be in 4 months, let alone next September, but I'm booking "just in case" :thumbsup2 .
