For those that upgraded your free dining to the deluxe. Be it this vacation or for next year. How much did it cost you extra per person per day to make the upgrade to Deluxe dining? Trying to price things out before we arrive for our vacation. It is DH and I. Thanks!

You pay the difference between the 2 plans.
This year the difference between the 2 was $32.00 per day/per adult
and $10 per day/per child.

yes, $32/adult PLUS TAX, so it came out to more like $35/adult...

Wow. Can one person eat $35 a day every day on top of what they're already getting? I was considering this, but even for the extra meals we add, we usually spend maybe $20-$30 and we only add extra credits for 2-4 days of our trip. For our family, it makes more sense to just pay for the extra meals.
It seems that the only way this would be worth it is if you were planning to consistently eat 2 credit meals or eat TS for lunch and dinner at the more expensive restaurants.
I am curious to know how this works out budget-wise for those of you who are upgrading this year.

DH and I are planning on having 2 credit Dinner table service meals each day. We can then split a counter service for breakfast and split a table service for lunch. If it wasn't for the free dining upgrade we would never be able to try out the more expensive resturants.
Breakfast - Split counter service
Lunch - Split a table service
Dinner - Each have our own siganture resturant meal

That’s kind of like what we are doing.
Breakfast - Snack cereal, muffin what not
Early Lunch - TS
Dinner - Signature Service
We have done Signature restaurants in the past and have spent well over 50 bucks per person, so we think it’s a steal!

Will Disney allow you to split a TS meal between two adults?

You can as long as it is not a buffet.
