DH wants to know if gators frequent the cabin area or any public area.
Such as the porch, behind the cabin, on the sidewalk, next to golf cart parking, etc.....

I told him I am pretty sure they are mostly near or in water.
Then I informed him, that is why we have flashlights (to poke them in the eyes ;) )

They are always in the canals or lake when I've seen them or heard about them being seen.

:lmao: Well they are not just roaming aroud!.......How funny. Our Son inlaw is also concerned about the gators and snakes in the south. He's never been past Syracuse! Our Jan. trip will be his 1st out of NY, and DH is really ribbing him! He says, "Hey Jay, wanna go fishing in Fla?" I told him to leave the poor kid alone....................:rotfl:

But if you leave a six-pack outside the cabin every night as protection money they'll leave you alone.

I think he believes gators in FL are like racoons in Pa.
I was pretty sure thats like comparing apples to.... something that is not an apple.
He askes me to post t o find out, I will inform him tonight that gators do not roam around the campground.

I believe he is really scared, I am going to have so much fun with this.
Thanks for the replies, I am off to buy a fake gator

Just tell him to leave the sacrificial 6-pack on the ground at the front of his site and the otters and gators will leave him alone. And if he throws in a Kungaloosh, the armadillos will be his body guards.

All of the advice regarding beer and kungaloosh is right on the money. In fact, you need only send one package to me, and I'll see to it that it is properly distrbuted. Trust me...:cool2:

Rest assured though, that you have nothing to worry about as far as the gators, they are afraid of the coyotes!

I know it's one of mine. If I didn't think I'd get sent to the principal's office for plagiarism I'd put it in my Avatar. :worship:

Remember that otters want your beer but, these will take your kungaloosh

Ok, at the risk of sounding like an idiot, what is kungaloosh (sp)? I have read about in alot of posts here in the camping site and I'm assuming is some kind of drink?

I know you all are laughing, but I'm dying to know!!!:rotfl: :confused3

Kungaloosh is the official drink of the FW Dis'ers. FWGuy will be along shortly with the recipe.

If you want to show him a live one try taking a walk on the petwalk behind the 700 and 800 loops. When we were there about a month ago there was one making fairly regular appearances in the water beside the petwalk. I only saw it in the water but I would guess it was about 2 1/2 feet long. I have to admit I was glad we were camped several sites away!
