I know that I am very surprised to see that Disney is offering the regular dining plan next year as part of bounceback and not the CS option. I just wonder if the bad economy has any thing to do with it? Any one else have any guesses?

Was there a offer released for next year?

We checked out last Sunday but the bounceback was for only 2008.

The offer for next year was released today. We checked out today and booked it from the airport.

quick question...I thought you had to call before you checked out to get FD bounceback? How much leeway do they give you...can you still book from home for a day or two after checkout?

You have to call before you check out but if you call same day theyre not gonna argue with you. Next day you may be out of luck.

And if youll remember I went on record 2 weeks ago that it will NOT be the CS plan. I even marked my words

We weren't officially checked out. It was 7 am and we still had an active reservation. My dh called last night and asked them if it would be possible. They would not tell him the details at that time but did tell him that there was a bounceback being offered and as long as we called at 7 we could book it.

Sorry, but what is a bounceback?

A "bounceback" is a special deal offered to current guests at Disney resorts, to book another trip in the future at a discounted rate. You book before you check out of the room.

Ok what is CS. I'm familiar with most terms and I will proably say "oh yeah" but can't remember this one.

CS = Counter Service (as in restaurant)

So what bounceback did you book? What dates were you offered? Anything in late 2009?

Ok back on topic. Yes I was surprised as well that it was not the Quick Service dining plan. (2counter services plus 2 snacks and a refill mug)

With all the changes they have been making to save a penny, I was surprised. However I am very happy for those that were banking on it to go next year. The doubled stack code for the week of October 2-8 really surprised me. I guess they really want to get people to experience DVC so they can sell them on it?? (the double stack for OCT is 30%off OKW and SSS plus free dining) It has not been done before with free dining so that is really interesting. Why October and not Sept? HMM

If I'm staying at the BWV on rented points this September, will I be eligible for next years bounceback offer? Or do you have to book through Disney this year to get the offer for next year? I hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the info, angeleigh:thumbsup2 ...Good to know there's a chance they'll be a little flexible...though the plan right now is we'll be booking our bounceback long before we check out. We're liking these offers!

And Mbanks, I KNOW you marked your words-I bookmarked you markers so I'd know where to go back & check up on you:rotfl:

Yep...I was one of the doubters! :guilty: But now I'm one of the believers.:cheer2: :worship: :cheer2:

Does anyone know the dates that the Free Dining Plan will be offered for 2009? Thanks.

So should we "assume" that the BB program will be the same as the FDP next year (same dates & basic dining plan vs. cs plan)? :confused3 That would be nice!!

I now think that it will be the same for the general public next year too. I don't think that the CS plan, even free will lure people to the world during hurricane season, especially like the ones we have going on right now. I seen a post where someone even thought that they may have trouble luring people down there next year with the regular plan. And I somewhat too can see that, if the hurricanes get really bad this year.
