My soon to be 7 yr old DD is very much into Jack Sparrow and Pirates. Added to this her 2 yr old sister just wants to copy everything she does! :confused3 :rotfl2: We were thinking of doing the Pirates Dinner. Virgin's brochure advertises it at £30 and £25. Any DISs out there give me their views on how good it is and if I should book now or when we're there?
Thanks in advance. :thumbsup2

Yes, we have been a few times over ther years and will be going again in a couple of days. My two love it, although there are many who dont, not sure why, the food is ok and the show is always very good.
The prices you have been quoted seem very high, a quick search on google comes up with £17 and £13 (onlineflorida.co.uk) and you may find them even cheaper if you look further.

We're one of the people that didn't like it. Okay, so we were a group of all adults, so that might have something to do with it.
Food: It was okay, but just average. You had hardly any time to eat, and since the entertainment was going on at the same time, you were left either watching the show, or eating your dinner. They came around so quickly with each course that if you watched too much, you missed your dinner.
Entertainment: Perhaps I have high expectations from the performers since I work in the West End, but they were appalling. The day we went, there was only one performer who was anywhere near convincing and could sing in tune! She was the baddie! lol :rotfl: Anyway, the acrobats were good, with fights and tumbles on the ship. There was quite a lot of audience interaction and people being involved in the show - downside, you don't get to eat! lol
The whole audience is divided into either 6 or 8 colours, and these are the colours of your pirates who you have to cheer for and support throughout the meal when they are fighting/winning/whatever. It was good, but found myself cheering with a mouthful of food most of the time!
Perhaps for small children, obsessed with pirates, it would be a good evening out. For ourselves... never again.
