Hello all. I know I have to update thte August thread, I forgot to mention this week was vacation. We are settleing back in now. But for now a quick inquiry. Found out my DD3 is going to be getting glasses. She gets them on Tuesday. Other than a before and after shot scrapbook page any other suggestions??? Clearly I couldn't document the eye appointment... but... anyhow any suggestions would be appreciated.

I do have 3 camera phone photos of three pairs of glasses she was choosing between (when we narrowed it down, so hopefully I can get those off of there somehow)

Get them to write out the prescripton on the pad for you

a copy of the receipt.

she good draw her a picture of what she thinks she looks like in glasses
the first thing she notices is different when she wears them in public....I remember form 7th grade that I could see blades of grass not just green.

Write down any comments she makes when she first puts them on. Like a Wow! Or anything like that, also write down your feelings about it. When DS12 got his glasses his whole face changed. Now it's weird to see pics without his glasses.

Thanks for the ideas ladies. BAMB- what do you mean his whole face changed. Who have me scared LOL.

Other than writing a story about her "funny eye" a cross eye as she called it, she didn't say she could see better or anything.

DianaLyn was working on a layout at SDV of her daughter who recently got classes. Perhaps she can post a picture of her layout.

My DD got glasses when she was 14 mos old. I scrapped her with her cute little (very little) glasses. I also have the original prescription and glasses. I rarely journal except facts (I know bad me). But I journaled on this one because getting the glasses was emotional (for me not her)- whenever anything is wrong with your child it is emotional- anyway I was so moved when I noticed that she was staring at things in the room and the floor that she must have never seen clearly before, it was a wonderful feeling.
