PO-R amenities?

My daughter and I are staying for the first time at PO Riverside May 8 through 12th. My question is:

I know there are no hair dryers and coffee makers in the rooms, but has anyone ever requested either of these from housekeeping?
Is there a cost, and when should I make these requests?

No cost and you can call housekeeping as soon as you're checked in and request them. ~:)~
