We loved the DDP, we had the basic, felt it was ALOT of food for the four of us. I am soooo glad I made dining reservations beforehand! We ate at Chef Mickeys, Tusker House, Boatrights, Whispering Canyon, Corral Reef, and many CS meals! I loved them all. Corral Reef was my favourite, we were right by the glass, had a diver and personalized menus (thank you debbi!!!) and the food was awesome!!! Our kids (us too) LOVED Whispering Canyon, our waitress was great, we got lots of ketchup! LMAO. Everything was really good. I wish they had more variety on the kids plan, but my picky 6 year old, ate a bit off my plate too, and they were very accomadating to switch things up for him! All our ressies were on time, the character meals were great, we liked Chef Mickeys the best though, Tusker House was ok, not as bright as Chef Mickeys!!!

let me know if you had any questions

Sounds like you had some fab meals - how did you have a diver and personalised menu at coral reef? That sounds brilliant :)

Hi!
I know the plan changed this year, no more tip included.
How did that work? Did you get a bill for the tip? 20 percent?

Last year our bills were huge, so the tip would have been a big added expense. Just wondering what you thought about it.

We LOVED chef mickey's too!
Whispering Canyon was a fun time for us, too. We tried to do lots of kid friendly meals.......

thanks for all the info.
we are going back in two weeks and I found out the dining plan has change... I just read that on sit down meal only the children (3-9) get appetizers, not adults...Is this correct. The appetizer is no longer included with adult meals?
Just makes no sense to me to have appetizer with child's meal and not adult

thanks for your help

I would like to know how this worked, too. Our last Free Dining trip was two years ago when the tip was included, so I'm wondering how it will play out this time! Do they actually "bill" you for the tip, or do you just leave it?

TIA!

We've been on some of the same DP threads and I am so glad it worked for your family. We also loved CR and CM's was our favorite. The characters and atmosphere at CM's is so unique its hard to describe and replicate the feel of the place. Not even photos can really do it justice. Its the memories the photos evoke that do it for me.

Sounds like you had a great time! We are going over Christmas and decided to go with the deluxe dining to hopefully avoid lines for counter service, with two small children.
I'm so happy your family enjoyed themselves so much!

Do you feel you got your money's worth?

We are still "up in the air" as to whether we should do it or not next December.

thanks for the info! you said they were accomodating about switching things up for your 6 yo - can you be more specific? I have been looking at the kids' menus and wondering if they would switch things...can you share some of your experiences at the non-buffet TS restaurants?
