Don't have an answer since I live in Boston but here are two tips...one get a GPS (borrow one if you don't want to buy one) and two if you don't get a GPS and know someone with a AAA membership, have them get your Mom a trip book. They will map out the whole trip for you.

Not sure if Dallas is serviced by Interstate 10, but if it is, take I-10 to I-75 south in Lake City, Florida. From there, travel to the Florida Turnpike. Take the Turpike to Interstate 4 west and follow the signs!!

I just went to google and went to there maps. I entered Dallas and Orlando. The route it gave looks pretty good. Dallas to Shreveport, La then I-49 south to I-10, I-10 to I-75. Take I-75 to the Florida Turnpike, but don't go to I-4, as you will have to back track. My wife and I learned a new way that keeps you off of I-4.

From the Florida Turnpike, take 429 south and look for the Disney exit. You will enter WDW by CSR. The road is called the Western Way. It is a new western enterance to WDW. This is a great way to take. We used to go all the way to I-4, but you have to back track and fight the I-4 traffic. Since we found this way it is the way we go now.

Hope that helps.
